I'm here because i found a bunch of babies in an old tank that wasn't fully empty that used to have adult danios in it before i moved em, the fry were living in the heaps of java moss so i set them up a lil sponge filter 5 gallon to try to raise them
Great video thanks - I have 4 danio breeding aquariums setup. I condition them in slightly colder water and then heat the water when they are conditioned in pairs
What I did for my food was I just crushed it into powder to keep them on the same diet that they would be eating as older fish

Great video, really informative! I’ve just set up a 15 gallon tank and am hoping to breed some of these! Would you recommend the breeding box or do you think a horizontals divider along the tank would be good? Also are plants helpful in any way?
Whichever one you go with make sure that the adult's can't get to the eggs and eat them.
Wow, nice looking zebra danios! I don’t think I’ve seen the regular pattern with long tails. I’ve got a soft spot for the long fin blue leopard danios my lfs has sometimes. I don’t have any though 🤔

There is a food I use for my baby fry called First Bites and give that to them 3 times a day. Also feed to my pregnant fish on top of the regular diet like giving a pregnant dog puppy food to give more nutrients to the babies.
I was wondering if zebra danios will push CPDs out of the breeding area. I was going to put a breeding box with moss in the tank so i don't have to catch them in my planted tank. I'd move the eggs to a hanger box for the fry to group up

Very clear instructions and I enjoyed watching the video! I have a question regarding the developement of zebra fish fries, for some reason my fries have a really high tail/fin and spine deformity rate. Perhaps 70 percent of the fish raised are deformed somehow. I was hoping you could give some guidence ? I let the frys live around java moss and then move onto baby brine shrimps, once they are big enough I just feed them crushed flakes from the petshop. Could this be a genetic issue? maybe inbreeding?

How did you hatch baby brine shrimp in a day? I thought it takes a few days to hatch. And what brand did you use? I tried looking up a video for this on your channel, but did not see. Should I separate males and females? If so how long?

I'm planning to buy 1 week old zebrafish for an expt. How long do I have before they start breeding?
Can i have a filter in it? Like sponge one with airstone? My fry seems to die after 5 or 6 days being born even though water parameters are stable and no amonia, nitrites or nitrates. I have a cleaning crew of snails and 4 blue dreams and a ceratophyllum demersum in this tank (11.5L).
Hey so I have 3 zebra danios in a 5 gal I wasn’t trying to breed then but I think they might be breeding cause the female got large and the male is chasing of the 3rd danio is this behavior of breeding or something else

@@mr.nutinherminkz101 only zebra danios can breed with other zebra danios ,maybe yo have Two males and they are constantly harassing each other , you should check if they are a pair. They can live with ángel fish and some tetras and barbs and of course corydoras.
