i wonder if anyone ever reads the fine print during the intro 0:36 "The character you've chosen is brimming with countless possibility. Your input breathes life into the character and will lead you to victory. If you put on your best performance, the character will definitely answer back in kind." 0:40 "Are you ready? The battle with the opponent before you is about to start. However, there is nothing to fear. Have hope. As long as you move accordingly and without hesitation, it will bring you favorable results. Believe in victory."
@@ignizxnr3021 some songs are not yet in the game cuz ArcSys adds them with the character after they are included to Strive. That's what they did with other characters that came back for this game.
When I first saw the print in 0:36 and 0:40 I didn't fully understand it at first, I thought it was just some edgy and cool way to hype us up before the fight. But then, after giving it some thought, I finally realized why they put those long, hard-to-read, yet inspirational messages in the little time we have to read them. It's because the game wants to give you a challenge before the round starts, increasing your focus on what you have in front of you. The average person reads 250-300 words per minute. The first message lasts 3 seconds, and the other, 1. 240 frames, 77 words, 386 characters not counting spaces. How many words can you read? How fast is your brain working? The 1-second challenge comes back after every round, how much more did you manage to read this time? Did you miss some words? Be faster. Try harder. Be better. Did you manage to read all of it? You're ready for what's coming.
Honestly getting the OG Valentine as a hybrid of her standard Overture moveset + her penultimate robotic boss form would be immensely rad. Same with getting a playable Izuna and Paradigm.
A bit of topic but one aspect i absolutly love with Shin Megami Tensei 5 is how for the normal battle theme you have throughout the game, it has this slow track that goes no where untill either you or the enemy makes their first move, in which the real music starts playing. Not sure if something like that would be feasable in something as a fighting game but it would had been hype as hell if it could. Really hope some games takes that idea and use it atleast
Doesn't Resonance of Fate/End of Eternity do something similar? There's typically two tracks for combat, one when you're actually in the thick of combat and the other for when you're taking your planning out a move or aren't engaged in the fight just yet. Dynamic music in games is neat whenever you see it but I think the thing that makes it special is the fact that it isn't commonly seen/heard in a lot of games
Eyow that is satisfaction the portal intro, the guitar strum, everything is exactly on point with the music! I hope other character intros get a satisfying synergy with their own theme songs
The timing is perfect. Next time i get to play Strive I am picking this song. Diva also fit the original boss fight from Overture he music picks up as Sol charges gigantic Valentine as she all sorts of crap trying to kill you. It was a standout moment for game struggling to find it's idenity (Guilty Gear 2 couldn't decide if it wanted to be an RTS, hack n Slasher, or fighting game. So it does all three not particular well). To the game's credit, the soundtrack was good and the english dub was not terrible (first time for the series. Hearing Liam O Brien as Ky shouting Ride the Lightning is fucking awesome).
That's some incredible timing, as the guitar starting perfectly matches I-No showing up from the portal, and then later her guitar coming down as the rift starts.
sol and ky need better intros, theyjust walk down to you, sol could pull off on a bike and ky could literally take his sword out of ground or something like that
"Screw you" "That sounds fun" OH MY
OH YES~
In japanese sol actually says "i'll crush you", but they knew what they were doing with the translation.
Jack-O: Do you know the story of Kiyohime? I just know who the right target is.

I fucking love how it hypes you up, the music genuinely makes you think like the guy your facing is a life long rival
That is so sick man
I would but it goes too fast and my computer screen too small
I never noticed that before, but I genuinely love it. Even now, not even playing the game, I already feel confident and hyped up.
Why is it so small?!
God you got me hyped, Diva is just too good of a theme. So happy we´ll be getting previous songs in this game.
Real shit? Legit only song I want is ephelt’s because its very similar to esaka from KOF

Always loved Diva and this just give more reasons to make others love it too xD

The one thing GG2 got right was the music. There's no question about that.
I liked it, but I’m a weirdo. I always got destroyed when I played online cause there was only like 10 of the same people playing it 🤣
Hard eh
It's a $60 soundtrack that comes free with a game

Amazing, I hope it's in the game's jukebox on release

😣 you cut it off right before the killer riff starts!
If there are ever fights in story mode, then this is how they should do them
I-NO is just too much, brb in 1 minute
then there is baiken theme that doesnt even start before 4th round

it exists now!~ rather, it has the battle music play instead of the intro
