    WOW! This looks really simple with your shield and I already have everything else.
    My road trip to the South of England may happen after all. 😁

    wait minute i can add this to my smart fortwo ED that only has a type2 22kw charger and a 17.6kw hv-battery?
    It only takes 45 minutes at a type2 fast charger but there being fased out on the fastchargers here.
    I would love to be able to charge with a CHAdeMO even if it takes the same time. its just that i have to go off the highway into a city/town and find a type2 charger that are mostly 11kw. and then im stuck there for 2 hours

      In theory, yes, the hardest bit will be car integration, you could just pump current in to the battery but would be more sensible to integrate with the car more to ensure you don't over charge the battery etc. I know someones has added Chademo to a Zoe fairly easily. I've replaced this with a custom ESP32 based board. See later video.

    Will this work bi-directionally? I'm looking to add a way to export power from my Chevy Bolt.

      The V2x messages could be easily added, but it's got no way of converting the DC to AC.

      @@JamieJones1985 I’ll take care of the DC-AC outside of the car with a unit like a wallbox quasar.

      @@doepnerar doesn't the bolt support V2x anyway? Thought I sat Benjamin Nelson hook up an inverter to his chademo port

      Actually, wasn't a bolt but an imiev

      @doepnerar Год назад

      @@JamieJones1985 It does not. The Bolt is SAE/CCS for DC fast charging only. I’d like to add bi-directional CHADEMO. I’ve seen Ben Nelson’s experiments. I don’t want to DIY the inverter side like he did. There are a number of units on the market (EU) or coming to market shortly (North America).

    Can you help me fix this
    I have other parts but software is the problem!

      Most chademo stations will not go that low voltage, even though the spec says so. Under 200v. What does the serial log say?
