Great vid. The Matrix films is what got me into reading more philosophy in college, both Eastern and Western. Neo being the sixth incarnation heavily mirrors how in Hinduism the god Vishnu incarnates himself once each yuga (cycle) to liberate the earth from evil. Counting from the earthly incarnations (the first 4 occur before human life), the sixth is yet to come, Kalki, which I believe is who Neo is supposed to be. Also in Hinduism there is the concept of Maya (the goddess of illusion and a term for illusion itself) which is what the world is considered to be in Hinduism. The goal of humanity is to attain enlightenment by seeing through the veil of illusion how Neo and the other rebels from Zion do.
Eckhart Tolle touches on this as well in A New Earth and affirms that the veil of illusion is internal and almost every human is in personal suffering. Which the Buddha addresses often. Enlightenment is the end of suffering.

I always found it counter productive to Neo's argument and ultimately the development of the characters around him that he withheld the source of his information leading him to the statement that "the prophecy was another system of control". Perhaps mentioning the architect and his role in the matrix would have helped his friends understand the gravity of the issue they were confronting.
It wouldn't have been helpful at that time and some of them would have given up in the face of that info. As the film shows, all of them were needed so this would have been counter productive.
Very well done. It's pretty hard to take all the philosophical influences of the Matrix and distill them down into something consumable. There's a lot of big old books you have to read.

I believe the general interpretation is the Architect was expressing his distain for referring to a computer program as some magical being, titled "The Oracle." He was not disagreeing that they were referring to the same entity though.

The same way the Frenchman gave the woman a cheese make her horny. She made Trinity fall in love with Neo and Neo to feel the same. That way Trinity would go into the Matrix to save Neo and Neo unlike his predecessors would In turn choose save Trinity and break the cycle of starting the Matrix over... Thus The Architect saying "You played the dangerous game!" To the Oracle At the end of Revolutions. Cementing that it was her plan all along.
Meh...the sequels still sucked no matter how many philosophical diatribes and digital postulations you want to throw at it. The first Matrix didn't require all these videos and explanations to prove it was an amazing film on all fronts. The sequels are like most of modern art: tell me why I should care because what is in front of me looks like a plain old rock. The cinematic equivalence of the Emperor has no clothes.
Lots of videos just like this dissecting the first one too, so I don't really see the films being treated all that differently by youtube analysts. Though, unlike the first, which has universally positive videos, there are videos going over everything wrong in the sequels...
