Just for the record, if you do this to a everyday road going vehicle YOU WILL have some serious damage caused.

Tires first, increased wear and tear on diff internals and possible damage to half shafts. I'd suggest LSD if car is daily driver. That or proper locker. I had no problems with welded diff on my off road buggy , but I drive it on loose terrain.
