My stereo quit working and then my dash gauges went nuts and then the vehicle died and wouldn't start I think I need to replace the whole fuse box panel what's your opinion
I will diagnose my power window problem and buy the parts from this site because of video procedure that will save me time when fixing my window problem. Thank you for this video.
Really love this company. The videos are super informative and the prices for their parts are amazing. Bought MAS and ignition coils for my cars and over a year now and everything’s still running strong with no issues.
I didn't know anything about Power windows and in the last month I've learned how to change out motors and regulators pn 2 different cars, thank you for the videos.
Done the Diagnose on the switch, Checked the relay with a meter And the 9 volt trick, switched relays, Checked the fuse. Took out the motor from the window Took it apart for cleaning and inspection One of the two magnets on the sides for the shaft Had a broken split magnet where the power to go up meets the power wire You could get the window down However once there was a bit of load/tight pinch / way half going up on the motor The shaft would move slightly And the connection would be lost - Ordered a new window motor regulator from 1A Auto - It was Cheaper than most other websites And the ship (Has nothing to do with 1A Auto) was pretty fast for outside of the country Right part And fit perfectly ..... I say all this because--- How many part suppliers take the time to show you a video on diagnose And uninstall/install the very part they sell....Thanks 1A ! Top notch !
You didn't forget. Automotive vehicles have transformed from basic transportation to complexly designed and technology-laden centers of operation. You can do most anything sitting in the cockpit of your 21st Century Masterpiece of human ingenuity. Just don't try to fix one, on your own. Opening the hood of a newer, modern automobile is to discover a whole new world of position, advancement and foreign technology. To find your spark plugs you must complete a course in dismantling much of the top of your engine. Then proceed cautiously. I'm in awe of those who have the know-how to diagnose and actually repair one of these rolling server bases. (Realizing at the same time, mechanics now have access to high tech testing and diagnosis devices that virtually tell them precisely what the problem is and how to etc, etc.)
Only saw one video and ordered a regulator and motor assembly directly after because the videos were so straightforward I knew I could do it myself. Thanks alot for your videos.

As long as feasible I will be buying parts through you guys. Simply because you took the time to try and share knowledge. Not just going for my wallet. Just bought a driver side window regulator for my 2000 Dakota. I will add that the site was built well which narrowed my search down to exactly what I needed, no smoke and mirrors.

Nice video content! Apologies for butting in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you thought about - Trentvorty Safe Vehicle Theorem (do a search on google)? It is an awesome exclusive product for discovering how to repair your car the simple way without the hard work. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my mate got great results with it.
Once again Mike your a lifesaver. I had replaced the window switch in my Chevy a while back. You gave me some good advice. Now I've got the same problem with a different car but I don't think it's the switch this time. Glad I saw this video so I can correctly check the wires tomorrow. Fuses are fine, I've tried 2 other switches from the auto wreckers and they didn't work. If it's not the motor which I haven't tackled before then there's a break in the wires . Thank you again. I'll let you know the outcome.

i went to college for auto electric 2 years and passed a National Technician Auto Electric Certification and it was easy to pass if you know the answers... Haha,,, window electric problems is fun for me, made a ton of money doing repair on them and just love the hunt for the answer to the problem... but my real love is building Turbine gas engines, now thats where the real money and skill is,,, also using a test light can damage auto electric systems my friend so look out you should use a LED test light, in college we had to make one in the class to pass the course, yep look out for that LED test light for very low mA circuits... you just learned something.
In a pinch, you've tried everything and maybe come to the conclusion you're gonna need a new motor or switch. Maybe you don't have the money to buy a new switch and it's gonna rain. Or you live in one of those places you wouldn't live in if you didn't have to, gotta get that window up. This works and has worked for me, anyway. Open the affected door and with a fist, moderately bang on the door panel around where you surmise the motor and attaching wires might bang. All the while with key on and your switch for that window pressed. If you're lucky the window will close. If not, there's one more possibility to try. With key on, but switch not depressed, open affected door and slam it closed fairly firmly. Much harder than you normally would, but much like you would if a rabid Bigfoot was 2 feet away from getting into your car with you in it. Well, did either of those work? Try it again, but don't stay up all night with it. If it's going to work it'll do it on the first second or third try. If it doesn't, follow this video or go see the car doctor, when you get the bucks. A lot of em. I have a PT Cruiser that the driver's window gets stuck in the open position and won't close. Freaked out, I immediately went to the WEB to find a solution. One video harkened to my less-than-Bezos wealth and offered these solutions for the desperate. With no promise they'll work. The banging on the door panel with my fist did and does (1 year now) work for me, for how long is the only remaining question. Good luck or getcha some Handi-Wrap.......

THANK YOU this video really saved my bacon. I knew the driver window motor was bad. I had been looking to get one. Then happened upon this video. I followed you as best I could. But the car I was working on had a lot of wires. I could not tell which wires went to the driver widow. But when I probed the connections I found one that, when I pushed the button it tried to roll up, it was already up. But when I pushed the button to go down No light No movement. So I took the switch out and took it apart. Half of it looked like it had rusted away. I am thinking water got to it. Anyways I got a new one and hooked it up. Pushed the button down and for the first time in several years the window rolled down. I pushed up and it rolled back up. Even the auto window worked. Thank You again , had it not been for this video I would have been buying parts I did not need. I also should mention I have bought parts from 1A Auto Parts. Nice folks and reasonable prices.

Hello sir i have a question, is the right and left window have the same fuse? My left window is working but my right window (driver seat) isnt and its not making a motor sound when i push the switch up and down. Thanks.
This is good stuff. Your debug logic is good, the back-probe to identify power and connectivity is correct and the triple check by connecting to another known good motor closes any remaining guesses. Can't imaging why some give this thumbs down as this is exactly correct approach. Maybe double check connections and ground to be sure they're good but If you have concerns because of other electrical anomalies, that's a different subject and video. Thanks I appreciated this video's testing Vs Parts Swapping fix!
+Ron Arndt The initial troubleshooting is backwards, but it works. Begin with the suspected defective component, check power toward the source, not away from it. Then install a known good component. Aircraft maintenance and repair 101.
Ron Arndt 2003 Sebring sedan. I fed the front pass. motor 12v from a separate battery and it works up and down by switching the wires. When plugged into the car harness window goes down, but not up. Will not work at all from the driver's door master switch. I have a constant ground on one leg of the motor, even with the switch in the neutral position, and no ground on the other leg with the switch in the neutral or up and down positions. Any ideas? Thanks
Fred Flintstone that's aircraft maintenance 101 buddy because the practice requires to assume the worst first being that fixing the simplest thing may Overlook the most complex thing being close to failing and cause a plane to fall out of the sky so that is why you start at the device that stopped working on a plane first as a preventative measure to avoiding a catastrophe. In Automotive you start with the simplest least expensive cause regardless if the process of elimination leads to The Most Extreme Complex item in a system because if it fails on an automobile it likely will not cause harm to anyone's well-being even on a brake system buddy.
Hi there you have been very helpful my first attempt couldn't find the way to get the power cable off the door pannel to remove the panel you make it look easy need to watch it again
Any advice on a front passenger windows that goes down but will not go up. Should I replace the switch or is there anything more in-depth that I should look into. Any info you can provide will be greatly appreciated. 2004 Ford Expedition XLT.
my 2002 silverado has a similar problem with my passenger side front door window. Goes down, but not up. Neither one of my switches make it go up (driver side and pass side) Does that mean it's probably the motor?
Thanks for posting this video. I figured it was a bad window motor. My issue is my window control module. I think has a parasitic draw because when I pull window fuse out my milliamps go down to .3. From .11 I even swapped out the module with a newer one, and I still have the same problem. What do you think it could be? I don’t see any cuts or tears either.
Thank you for your video. Very helpful. I was just working last night on my 2005 convertible beetle. As of the sudden, all 4 windows, the convertible top, the trunk lid switch and the trunk light stpped working. It never happened to me. Should i check the fuses?
I would have checked the wires at the motor first because if those two wires are hot, it means the switch is okay as well. You start at the end and keep working backwards. I think that makes more sense, don't you think? Just a thought. And thanks for everything you do here. And I like your clarity of videos. I think I am going to be needing a motor for my passenger side of 2005 Town and country. I will be ordering from you. Been too lazy to check it. :)
Problem: using test light can kill the circuitry if smart switches/motors are involved. They can use 5 volt pulses to control with the phase of two pulse streams determining up/down. For such cars, a test light can't detect the trouble, but CAN cause a circuit to blow. :(
In my case . On my chevy silverado 08 The problem wasn't the motor or the power switch . It was the plug conector to the motor it was loose on one side and that was causing the problem.
Good info, but you could just start your power checks at the motor. If the motor is getting power you can skip the other two checks because you'll already know power is getting to and through the window switch. If no power is getting to the motor, then work backward from the motor to the switch check, etc. In my experience, the majority of the time on vehicles since the '90s it's the window motor that's bad. Before the mid '90s or so, power windows switches were a more common failure point, but not so much anymore. They do occasionally go bad, but it doesn't seem to be nearly as common after about the mid '90s. I've changed a half dozen bad window motors since the last time I had a bad window switch maybe twenty years ago. The thing that's really maddening with a power window or any electrical fault is an intermittent malfunction. I have a vehicle that I bought brand new, and just before it was about to go out of warranty based on time (36 months, it still had only about 15k miles on it) the driver's side power window starting being intermittent. It would stop working sometimes, maybe every few months, but then start working on its own again before I could take it back to dealership for a warranty claim. It always worked and tested ok at the shop, and neither they nor I could ever find the problem. Then a month or even several months later, boom, it temporarily stops working again, but starts working by the time the shop or I could test it. I can find no one online reporting a similar intermittent malfunction with that make and model.
Hi 1A, I just purchased a power window switch (passenger) from you for my 2004 Honda Accord EX Coupe. I discovered while removing the old one and installing yours that the switch was actually not the real problem. The switch only seems to work for the window when the wires are partially plugged in to the switch. When you plug the wires in completely, the switch does not work. However, the door lock works all the time. My guess is that there is a loose or faulty wire running from the switch to the window motor. What do you think? What is the best way to go about diagnosing and fixing this problem?
1987 GMC van driver's side dual window switch, works the passenger side but not the driver's side. Is there a relay that could cause this problem? If not, then just stick with your diagnostic procedure shown here? Great site!
K i watch this and I'm going to go figure it out hopefully this weekend I'm busy but I appreciate your help and I will 1A Auto for my parts and of course I have a Ford but I love it
Great video. What if you have 4 door Chevy, windows working from drivers door, however, both rear passenger doors working either up or down intermittently at best. Does this mean issue lies with drivers door master switch panel? Only reason I ask is when I removed one rear window switch for inspection window can't go up from drivers door until switch is reinstalled. It appears that the driver rear window shut off switch is working. How likely would it be both rear widow switches fail at the same time, both working intermittently? What further testing should be done, am I missing anything?. Think I may just replace one to see what happens. Perhaps that is the case. Appreciate your time and help. Look forward to your response. Thanks! John
One of the up/down switches had much higher resistance than the other one, as clearly shown by the dimmer light during the testing. This could result in significantly less power coming out of the dimmer side of the switch, typically the side providing lifting power, and causing slower operation of the lifting of the window. Diagnose and eliminate this possibility before replacing the motor assembly.
i dont think it was dimmer?anyways avoltage drop test should had been done for sure using a meter.he may have fixed the actual problem but a voltage drop can mean slow motor speed.also would had used a larger wattage bulb as close as i could to putting as much amp draw as the motor draws.if its nice and bright just like when you touch test light to battery your good or just use meter and perform voltage drop test,
@@pigeonsil240sx After replacing a rear driver side regulator, 1) the up and down operate opposite, and 2) the window action is much slower than before. Motor appeared to work fine on bench test, it was the cable jammed in the spool on the regulator (that stupid little plastic part that holds the cable ends, that always breaks). Do you know what I did wrong? I'm not understanding why the slower action. The reversed action, is it possible the new spool is would backwards from the old one?
Hi great video guys! I just diagnosed 2012 Honda Civic drivers side window without the auto switch and have power. Testing with the light, sending window up or down window stops and I lose the power, could it be that it’s the motor?
All of your videos are well made and easy to comprehend. I rolled my 2000 Buick LeSabre's passenger window down the other day. When I tried rolling it up, the switch allowed the window up two inches. Though I can roll it down from that position, it will only go up two inches, yet the switch clicks. The shop said I need a regulator, motor, and wiring harness. Is that common? I am tempted to do it myself (after some troubleshooting) and order the parts from you.
+David Adams Sort of sounds like you need a motor and maybe a regulator. Not sure about the harness though, those are usually ok. It's common that a window will go down, but not up as it takes more power from the motor to put it back up than it does to bring it down. So if the motor is dying, going up will be too hard for it. Order your parts from us and we're sure you can do this yourself! :) Here's a link! www.1aauto.com/search?q=regulator&year=2000&model=141&abTestingValue=OFF&RUclips&ATony&CTA%20Comment
1A Auto Parts It is the motor and regulator. I have the window pulled up temporarily, but I'll soon order the assembly from you. Thank you for the quick response.
Hello, great video. My fuse is fine, I tested power to the switch and the light comes on. I have 1 yellow wire and 1 white wire to the regulator. Only the white wire lights up. I also tested at the regulator and only the white wire lights up. Does this mean I need a new switch?

I have a 2005 kia sorento, the drivers window won't work. I followed your instructions and diagnosed the problem in 5 minutes. Turns out the motor is bad. Thank you for your help.
Watched the video did all the steps but can’t seem to figure out my issue. Even took it to several shops So the windows go down but won’t go up and non of the switches will work in the vehicle. Fuzes and everything are good but the passenger side window is very sluggish going up when all the windows did work. Can a faulty motor on one side of the vehicle cause all the windows to stop working or is it something more serious.
I absolutely love this channel. I do have a question for you. So I've followed your steps from the video and when probing one of the wires from both the motor and switch the light only flashes breifly but doesn't stay lit. I don't see any obvious issues with the wire. Does this mean the switch is bad? Any suggestions?
Great Video but I have an issue with calibrating the window up function. Every time I close the window fully it re-opens about half way. It is like it is going into anti-pinch safety mode each time I fully close the window. Any suggestions??
what tool are you using to diagnose? i've fixed a few wires but my jeep still having issues and i think a diagnosis would be best so i know whats wrong and what wires are the bad ones
2000 Chevy Tahoe front left window regulator and I'm on the second one and I have done the same tests you did!! still not working and I'm lost!!do I have a low voltage problem??
Can you answer...? Replaced driver front regulator (kept the motor, it appeared to work with a bench test). After new regulator back in place, only "up" works, "down" doesn't! I have verified that there is power at the motor connector for both up and down... I'm baffled. Is there some sort of limit switcg/fuse *inside* the motor? (2002 Olds Intrigue)
Where do you get that tool to check the power? I have a 07 Honda Odyssey that is having window problems. When we get out of the car and shut the drivers door, without touching the fob buttons, the door lock actuator tries to unlock the door then it rolls down all the windows. Hondas have the feature where you can hit the unlock button on the fob once to unlock the drivers door and hit it again and hold to lower all the windows. The car is thinking that I'm doing that when I am not. The passenger sliding door window rolls down from the drivers window switches but does not roll back up. I'm assuming I need to replace the drivers side window control switches? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. You're videos have helped me a lot. Thank you!

My windows went dead in the full down position. 12 hrs before flying out for my first vacation in over 3 years. As I was ready store it in an open parking lot in downtown L.A. for a month. For a steal at $75 for 30 days. Finally went with loosening the motor and regulator and jacking the windows up with ten 2×4×12's, I just happened to have with me, (This is a Vanlife van I travel/live in). Tetrus'ing them inside the doors to keep the windows all tge way up, It worked! I traveled for one month, came back, and the windows were still jacked up all the way. The van started right up. I checked the fuse first but it was fine. The power window switch on the passenger door wouldn't work either. They faild simultaneously. Can it be the motor if they both fail at the same time? Must it be the master drivers switch in this case?

Hello friend, greetings from Chile. My nissan frontier does not raise or lower the glasses, even the central locking does not work either. I bought the main button panel of the glass racks, but the problem continues, it only raises and lowers the glass a little on the pilot's side, but it stops, plus the button lights come on and then go off and no longer work. Also when pressing the central locking button a "CLICK" is heard under the steering wheel. Perhaps it is some relay that is failing? please i need your help or advice.
My 2011 Ford Ranger is having issues with drivers side window. Sometimes it works and sometimes it don't. When it stops working I can smack my door a few times and it will usually start working for abit. I replaced the switch and it didn't help anything. I don't think the motor is bad because when it works it works flawlessly. It just seems like something is shorting out when I hit rough road *which there is alot of where I live*.
I have a Dodge Caliber I’m working on and the motor works but the cable is seized but the switch on that door doesn’t work (rear left window) the driver switch does work so I’m assuming the switch is bad I’m hoping the contact points are just corroded and that a simple cleaning aswell as some silicone contact grease should fix the trick
Any advice on power windows not going up or down on all 4 doors? I have replaced the switch, fuses, relays, and checked the wiring to see if any were exposed, including inside the rubber boot where it runs from the door to the body with no luck. I would think if it was just a motor or regulator that only one of the windows would not work, but all of them went out at the same time.
I think I had a ground issue. While I was using my test light and simultaneously hitting the switch to the driver side, they started working. I'm not sure exactly what fixed it, as it was so simple and instant. The only thing I can think of is the wire feeding power to the switch had some sort of grounding issue and when I used the test light on it, it supplied a ground and they started working.
Door close down with rear switch but not up and master switch does nothing for that window, but works for all other windows. (4door)Thanks for the video, I am working on diagnosing my window issue and followed your instructions in this video. All the connection seem good because I got a light on each step. But I also jumped the motor and got the window to go up so I don't think its the motor. But since all the connections lite up I am stumped b/c it doesn't seem to be the switch or the motor. I did the test on the rear door switch, but the master switch does not work either and there were so many wires I got overwhelmed and did not check those. Would the master switch not working affect the back switch and window.
+Alicia Slater Thank you for checking us out. A bad piece of the master window switch could affect operation of the exact door window switch. They will use the same circuit. 1aauto.com
I've got a 2006 Elantra GLS. None of the motor regulators work. All fuses are good. From what I can see all wires are good. I heard that there are separate fuses and relays (per Internet and Haynes manual. Could the relay or one of these fuses keep all my windows from working. We bought a new regulator and circuit board but it didn't fix the problem.
my friend has a 1990 ford mustang and the passenger side window will go up but not down, he replaced the switch and motor and still .does the same thing also the driver's side switch that operates the passenger side will not work either, any input on this matter would be greatful and appreciated. thank you

Ok I replaced the switches and motor for my passenger side window on my 05 Dodge Neon SXT. I did bring it to a shop where they fix windows but couldn't find anything wrong with the motor or the switches. They said it was a ground wire. Can you make and link me a video on how to find it and fix it??
I have a 2005 toyota tundra quad cab n the padsenger side elec window wont come back up, seemsike the rubber piece is preventing it from coming up...any advice?
I just purchased a regulator from you. (Which by the way, service, shipping, prices & customer service was all fantastic!) Now as far as the installation. Does the switch have a fuse on it? There's a black cube that looks like a fuse but I'm not sure. I have a 2002 Accord. If it is my switch. Can I repair it or do I have to replace it? I don't have one of those power testers so for the mean time I don't have a way of knowing what the problem is.
+Victor Huerta Hi Victor, We currently do not carry replacement window switches for this particular vehicle. If you haven't checked yet, you may want to check the fuse in the fuse box to see if it's good. You may also want to purchase a test light from your local auto parts store to see if there is power going to and from the switch. Another thing that you could check is the wire harness that runs between the door and body of the car for a broken or frayed wire which could be also causing the issue. Hope this helps you out. Thank you for your order. If you would like to leave us a review on Google it would be greatly appreciated. Here is a link to our reviews section. Have a great day! goo.gl/i5JFNY
1A Auto Parts I actually have left a review 😊👍 I definitely plan on buying me a test light, just waiting on a check. I was able to get someone to check for me. There's power going through & when he had the test light connected & hit the switch. It made a funny noise. So he believes it's the switch. It's just weird that it's getting power, & making noise, just isn't sending power to the motor. It's so confusing but thanks for the reply.
I have a 30A fuse P/W fuse blowing consistently out on my 2004 Santa fe. If the switch is bad or the motor regulator is bad will it keep blowing that fuse out?
My test light shines when I touch one wire but not when I touch the other wire. I swapped switch out to the passenger side it worked fine. I take it to mean there's a short in the driver's side wiring?
Hello , thanks for this video ... I followed your steps and changed both the motor and the switches in both sides (it a single cabin silverado) and sadly my passenger door still not working, I can only hear a click inside the switch when y press it. I tested the motor directly to the battery and it works. Any idea what else can it be? Please help :)
Great video but what if I only have power to one wire coming out of the motor? The other wire has power. Also, after disconnecting power connections to window and lock in order to get the panel off, the lock won't go down. It will go up though. I'm making things worse by trying to fix them. Any ideas? I have a 2006 Grand Caravan.

I didn't know anything about Power windows and in the last month I've learned how to change out motors and regulators pn 2 different cars, thank you for the videos.

@@1AAuto help I use main driver control to open windows but rear passenger window won't work !! How do I get it to work. You didn't cover that. .
Done the Diagnose on the switch, Checked the relay with a meter And the 9 volt trick, switched relays, Checked the fuse. Took out the motor from the window Took it apart for cleaning and inspection One of the two magnets on the sides for the shaft Had a broken split magnet where the power to go up meets the power wire You could get the window down However once there was a bit of load/tight pinch / way half going up on the motor The shaft would move slightly And the connection would be lost -
Ordered a new window motor regulator from 1A Auto - It was Cheaper than most other websites And the ship (Has nothing to do with 1A Auto) was pretty fast for outside of the country Right part And fit perfectly .....
I say all this because--- How many part suppliers take the time to show you a video on diagnose And uninstall/install the very part they sell....Thanks 1A ! Top notch !
Great video, it's still very helpful for an old guy that seems to forget a lot more than I should for a retired mechanic.

Nice to confirm how logical electric troubleshooting is...gives me confidence to figure out my car's problem and save lots of $$$.

I use 1AAuto for parts a lot, their deals are almost unbeatable, very good quality, these videos are extremely helpful. Thanks for being a such great service.

Thank you. Your video is easy to follow and made it easy to diagnose my truck's switch.

Hello sir i have a question, is the right and left window have the same fuse? My left window is working but my right window (driver seat) isnt and its not making a motor sound when i push the switch up and down. Thanks.
You ever figured it out? Im having the same issue
This just started to happen to my Taco. Only difference with mine is that the windows work perfectly intermittently. It's irritating.
Did you have an answer ? I have the same issue
What a great video. Short and Simple. Get in, get it done, get out.
+Kenneth O'Donnell Thank you for your positive feedback! We are happy we could help.

Any advice on a front passenger windows that goes down but will not go up. Should I replace the switch or is there anything more in-depth that I should look into. Any info you can provide will be greatly appreciated. 2004 Ford Expedition XLT.
good ? Robert. I have same issue with a 94 corolla. So how about it A1? any suggestion?
Robert delgado mine went down..not up...got a new switch all is well.
my 2002 silverado has a similar problem with my passenger side front door window. Goes down, but not up. Neither one of my switches make it go up (driver side and pass side) Does that mean it's probably the motor?
Short or break in wire in boot in door jam
It sounds like a bad motor. It’s going out but can still function with the help of gravity. It just doesn’t have the power to rise again
Thanks for posting this video. I figured it was a bad window motor. My issue is my window control module. I think has a parasitic draw because when I pull window fuse out my milliamps go down to .3. From .11
I even swapped out the module with a newer one, and I still have the same problem.
On my chevy silverado 08
The problem wasn't the motor or the power switch .
Yes. Good tip. I always start at the motor. If you have power there, You know it's not the motor/regulator
great step by step video! My passenger side window does not work. Everything else is fine. Does it mean that the whole Switch is broken?
Great site!

Hello, great video. My fuse is fine, I tested power to the switch and the light comes on. I have 1 yellow wire and 1 white wire to the regulator. Only the white wire lights up. I also tested at the regulator and only the white wire lights up. Does this mean I need a new switch?

great thank you for answering the question if theres no power at all coming from the wires👍
I have a 2005 kia sorento, the drivers window won't work. I followed your instructions and diagnosed the problem in 5 minutes. Turns out the motor is bad.
Thank you for your help.
Thanks so much! Went out and brought a test light and it wound up being my window motor🙂
Watched the video did all the steps but can’t seem to figure out my issue. Even took it to several shops
So the windows go down but won’t go up and non of the switches will work in the vehicle. Fuzes and everything are good but the passenger side window is very sluggish going up when all the windows did work.
Can a faulty motor on one side of the vehicle cause all the windows to stop working or is it something more serious.
These videos really take the apprehensiveness away

+AWHYify The is just a simple voltage tester that can be purchased at any local hardware or auto parts store!
Thank you!
+David Snow Your local auto parts store should have an ohm meter or a test light for you to purchase. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com?RUclips&CTA%20Comment&ATony
+Jeffrey A. Smith We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c

HI JUST WANTED TO KNOW HIW MUCH WARRANTY YOUR PARTS HAVE FOR ELECTRICAL PARTS AND MECHANICAL PARTS
Worked to determine that a window motor was getting power but no working. Thanks.

+skyler bain Did you check to see if there was power going to the master switch?

1aauto.com
Thanks for the follow up. I will keep working on it! These videos are great!!
The Mongoose was the relay the issue?
my friend has a 1990 ford mustang and the passenger side window will go up but not down, he replaced the switch and motor and still .does the same thing also the driver's side switch that operates the passenger side will not work either, any input on this matter would be greatful and appreciated. thank you
Hi i just posted a question on my power window problems. Any advice would be appreciated. Just for info. Why is it that it stop and run again after about a minute or so? I am lost. Is it the motor faulty or switch or relay etc?
+errand yapkengheng We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1AAuto.com
Hi, I would like to know how to change a front left door regulator of a 2014 Dodge Durango!
video was helpful. I have a bad motor as well.
Can you use a multi meter instead of a test light?
Yes on a DC setting.
great video, it was the motor but i fixed it. thanks!!
What tool are you using to test the power
Perfect information now I have a project for the morning and hopefully I can fix the driver window in my 99 Toyota solara thank you
Ok I replaced the switches and motor for my passenger side window on my 05 Dodge Neon SXT.
Thank you for showing the video on window check procedure.

+Cory Nilsson You may want to test the switch to see if it's working properly. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com
