I found something interesting about how Jessica Rabbit came to being from design point; The director Robert Zemeckis asked Bob Hoskins to imagine his ideal sexual fantasy for the animators, and animators took it from there. Hoskins told later, that his mental image was less risqué than what Jessica looked like in the completed film.
It’s also one of the few things the book and movie have in common That’s not a complaint by the way the author of the book actually did say that the movie is betttee
12:25--not just string, but mechanical effects as well (for example, the scene where Roger is hiding in Eddie's trenchcoat and moving around while hidden was done with a vest covered with springs that could move about by radio control)
It just hit me the other day that scene gives you a early hint that doom is the killer because he killed Eddie’s brother and that show also had a brother.
He's been doing that for a while now. He'll review a movie that he likes, but still make fun of its imperfections. Like his review of Batman vs The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for example. Which is good. It gives him a greater range of movies to review besides just the bad ones (or at least the ones he doesn't like).
Interesting fact. In the original book Kaa is Mowgli's third companion and friend alongside Baloo and Bagheera. The reason being that mowgli, being a human, is the only species Kaa _can't_ hypnotise which he finds fascinating.
17:13 you got to stay as far away from the Rabbits hole as you possible can, as men of our size we would only get stuck and need a towtruck to be pulled out.
I'm with Nate in which scene scared me more. I admit I only vaguely remember my first viewing of this movie, but I'm pretty sure I remember being more scared of the shoe killing scene than the reveal of Doom.
By the way, Charles Fleischer also two of the weasels, the perv who put his hand in Jessica's dress and the crazy one in the straightjacket. And Doug did mention the Yosemite Sam gun bit in his What You Never Knew About Roger Rabbit video.
Something of note with the bullets, two of them were voiced by pretty big western actors. Andy Devine and Pat Buttram. That and they worked together on a variety of Disney animated films. Like Robin Hood.
I love this movie so much. I always will watch it even if your like flipping through channels and catch it...I will sit and watch the rest of it. To this day and until I die whenever I put gloves on I always do it in the same way that Christopher Lloyd does it when he puts on the rubber glove....."Make toons...Respect!...the law" I even try the claw hand that he makes too.
You are assuming quite a bit Marley Fett. I never claimed to represent every single person. In that entire segment I never said that once. Also, *You're
@@hideofreakingkojima5457 Of course I understand. Doug's experience is different than mine. He found Doom to be more terrifying than the shoe getting killed. That's fine.
I am also a 1988 baby. On my 30th birthday we did everything that was made/used 30 years ago, including what movies were played in the background of the party. Everyone sat down and watched as this film played because we loved it so much growing up.
Still haven't had a chance to watch the offer yet sorry about that life is a bitch keep forgetting that it happened (not to mention how RUclips never recommends shit). Always love to see you guys branching out though, I'll definitely try to get to it today
Your having an age crisis? Honey, I was born in 82, I'm gonna be 40 this summer! I WISH I was 33 again! lol And I can't believe he didn't say this was the VERY LAST voice job of Mel Blanc as Bugs before he died.
Apparently the role for Judge Doom almost went to Tim Curry. But because his audition was deemed as too scary, the role went to Christopher Lloyd instead. Considering his performance was terrifying enough, imagine how much scarier Tim’s must have been.
20:43 - 20:52 🤣🤣🤣🤣You wanna see a funny routine, watch Doug and Rob's first viewing of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. It's about their joke on Captain Nemo being played by a white guy in Disney and other film versions compared to his Indian casting in LXG, and Rob does an impression of Mickey Mouse. Doug: "Maybe it's for the best. Have you seen how Disney represents black people?" Rob: " It was the 50s! It was a different time!" ( *as Mickey Mouse* ) "Listen, we just got done shooting Black Panther; lay off those sort've jokes, alright? Things change! *I've* changed!" Doug: "Ok, but what about all the black face in Fantasia-?" Rob: ( *as Mickey Mouse* ) SHUT UP!! Everybody gives me s-t, but we all know *Goofy* was part of a clan! Yeah, you never hear about that! He was a g-damn Grand Wizard! But no, I wear a wizard's hat once, and everyone loses their mind!" Doug: "🤣🤣🤣!! Oh! Oh, we're going to Hell!" Rob: "🤣🤣🤣We're getting more laughs with this *Mickey Mouse routine* than this Mickey Mouse routine!"
That's awesome you share a birthday with one of Robert Zemeckis best films of the 80s and Bruce why isn't Fuck my middle name Campbell. I share a birthday with Harrison Ford, Patrick Stewart, and Tom Kenny.
Funfact: Gary K Wolf loved this movie even going as far as to say it was better than the book Oh I’m sorry you don’t know who that is, let me make things more clear The author of the original book, said that the movie was better than *his* book
I'm really confused as to why there aren't any other people watching Nostalgia Critic besides Nate here. They seem to have no problem with the other stuff. So what's the issue here? I'm not trying to get on anyone's case mind you! I'm just confused as to why it's just Nate doing these now.
I don't think anyone dislikes doug because of his RUclips I think people dislike doug because of how he treats his employees and how he does literally everything outside of RUclips
People also dislike Critic because of his RUclips, especially when he reviewed the Spiderman trilogy for not understanding the trilogy even though he found appreciation to those films in his comparison with the Andrew Garfield Spiderman video.
Surprised no one has done Jessica Rabbit x Loppuny rule 34. She's apparently a rabbit lover. Btw,her proportions arnt impossible, one woman actually got them via plastic surgery.
I really like Doug's reviews however it's not about what opinions he has it's about how he supposedly mistreats those who work with him behind the scenes he's been accused of waiting until a sexual assault almost goes down only then they say he'll step in & put a stop to it.

“I’m not bad. I’m just drawn that way.” May be an odd line but sums up so much of Jessica as a character.

It scares me because I know how toxic it is to humans also.

@KGK Skull Hold on. As in the lost episode or a specific episode?
@KGK Skull Ah, that's right! The kid did get shot!
Honestly them reacting to Super Sentai and/or Kamen Rider would be really cool
They'll get a kick out of Dante Basco reprising his Zuko clout, and the clever way they worked in, "My cabbages!"

The Toon force.
He said that in the What you didn’t know video
@@randalgraves6979 I know, dude.
Ok then
You: terrified by shoe murder, but fine with Judge Doom's eye reveal.
Critic: shoe murder is funni, but please cover those eyes back up.
It’s so fun to see Doug reviewing movies he likes now. Nice change of pace from the usual riffing

Yeah, he betrayed both the Nostalgia and the Critic part of his name. Fun !!
22:45 for you, it was that scene.
For me, it was hypnotizing Kaa from Disney's Jungle Book.
Yeah, who knew that Winnie the Pooh's voice could be so creepy.
Yeah that was terrifying to me too

THERE’S Uncle Fester!
I wish they kept the line that revealed that judge doom was the one who killed Bambi’s mom. Not joking check the original script.
I agree with Nate on Doom's reveal. It never scared me as a kid, instead it amazed and intrigued me when I first saw it.
When I saw it kid me was actually shocked more than anything
I have nightmares about that horrible scene,
Exactly!! Martin Scorsese! Even almost 60 years after he started filmmaking, Scorsese shows no signs of slowing down!
Damn that was fast. I literally requested this on the discord 2 hours ago.

Your talking about 1 personal experience you yourself had, and using that to represent every single person who saw this movie.
It's funny how he can't understand how Doug didn't think the shoe scene was scary, but he doesn't understand how Judge Doom was scary.

For the 4 characters ready to be Dipped at 24:19, add in also at least Shou Tucker from FMA and especially Malty from Shield Hero.
I can relate to Nick’s feeling a special relationship to this movie since I was also born on the same day that the South Park movie was released.
That's nate.
Doug started the video wearing jeans.
He ended it wearing chaps
