  • Here's some more info and playing on the Burro, a Telecaster Stratocaster hybrid guitar I built. I play through a 5F11 Tweed amplifier I built. I discuss some build questions from previous videos.

I'm planning a similar build, with a contoured Tele body instead of a Strat body, so no holes to patch, only a middle pickup to route. Even found a pickguard with the neck and middle Strat pickups already properly routed. I'm aiming to reproduce the James Burton Telecaster Stat-o-Tele wiring with the S-1 switch that gets me back the classic neck+bridge of the Tele, plus a couple series wiring options.

sounds like a fun project! how you wire the pickups and the capacitors/pickups/components you use will give it the sound youre looking for.

what is the pickup model/company on the bridge? i thought it would sound more twang to it , it sound less highs comparing to the 50's style

The bridge is a Fender 52 reissue. Thanks for watching

man this is cool as hell. but i am wondering how did you fit the bridge onto the body? can you do a video on how you did it, or take it apart so we can see how you pulled it off? i hate to ask you to take it apart, but i just really wanna try this out with a project guitar but im running into roadblocks.

since i started with a tremolo body I removed all the guts and filled all the holes in with epoxy resin. this gave me a new base to work with. I measured everything up and drilled new holes to mount the bridge plate. I also had to do some minor routing into the body for the bridge pickup to fit into the body. Nothing difficult. hope this helps and thank you for the comment!
