Steve Croppers 1st amp, It may have been used on Green Onions. He got it as a "Set" with a Fender Esquire Guitar and off he went to make music and history!!
Great video! Any chance you know what the code is on that Harvard's output transfomer? It's warmer than most Harvards and sounds quite amazing! Thanks and cheers.
I don't know without busting out a mirror and flashlight again, but being such a late Harvard, it is a Schumacher transformer rather than the Triads they used earlier.
I almost always run the volume on 9 (out of 12), it distorts nicely there as well as cleans up well when I back off the volume on the guitar. The tone is normally between 7 and 9 depending on the room, I think it was on 7 here. I always use the first, "gainiest" input. If I don't need that much distortion, it sounds great at lower volumes, like 4 or 5, but I wanted the dirt for this lead. Thanks for watching!
Music starts at 1:35!
This was the amp that Randy Rhoads took to audition for Ozzy. The Harvard was his practice amp.
Did not know that, very cool!

Very juicy! Thank you!
She’s a beaut Reed! I can almost smell the bandaids!
These super simple old valve amps are just awesome.
Volume, Tone and truth.
Sounds absolutely fantastic.
You are absolutely right! Thanks!
You could not go wrong, with anything from the Mirror Year. Only beautiful things were issued. Ask God.
AD 1961.
I own a Victoria Vibrolux with a 12” Alnico blue speaker
Man… I had the opportunity to play one and buy one and didn’t have the cash at the time… regretting it everyday 😂

@@reedj112 Thanks, that would also be my guess. I think they started using the Schumacher around 1960.
🔥🔥🔥
Nice! Can you share the settings on the amp and the input you’ve used? Would have been even better with some rhythm playing. 😉

I want to build one next winter. Vibrolux most likely.
