What I’m getting out of this after watching the whole series, is that F wanted things to be like the good old days, and leave behind the “frick incident,” and so was collecting the letters R I E D and S, all he needed now was N. And maybe he was so evil and menacing about it cuz that’s how L M and O made him, beating the gems out of him, taking back what was rightfully his, and using whatever means necessary to keep those that hated him out of the cave?
N is so blinded by vengeance for P’s death that he didn’t realize that this might have been a peace offering, and didn’t realize it until he was too late. And then Q shows up.
