I have read the book. Are you aware that Martin actually recanted and revised his assessment right before his death? The SDA leaders at the time misled him and he believed them. When I was a child, friends did not know whom/what SDAs were. Some asked me if I was, “seven days”. They thought that I was just like them, i.e, Christians, followers of Jesus Christ who loved Him, read the Bible, but went to church on Saturday. I thought to myself how sad it was that all my friends were going to be lost. That was over 50 years ago. Today, the same people that were thought of as “just Christians”, no longer hid their disdain and spiritual arrogance but displayed it on billboards, “Sunday worship is the mark of the beast”. They labeled and judged them as apostate, but are somehow surprised by their response to such an offense. Interesting what happens when you judge people who are reading the Bible without the aid of a man appointed and ordained prophet. Imagine being accused of instigating the persecution and “death degree” of a group of people, then finding zero Biblical support for it. We are all one in Jesus Christ, something that the SDA Church rejects wholeheartedly.

I find it interesting that those who accuse the SDA church of being a cult, always pick the same two or three Fundamental Beliefs to try and prove their case. They totally ignore the Biblical truth that is so self explanatory that I can only but smile at their futile efforts.
Besides avoiding the Sabbath, they mostly are anxious to help Israel build this third temple, which truly has no basis in Scripture.
We should remember, too, that our scholars at the GC have wisely agreed on new wording for our, that is God's, movement of the last days: "The church of the remnant," rather than "the remnant church", given also the parable of the wheat & tares and not just any concerns about the lapse of time since 1844. I heard this mentioned by Jon Paulien in one of his videos where he spoke also about his group sessions with those at the BRI, even 15 or so years ago.

We know they look at the weak side of our church, it is their right to do so...what shall we say to this? It becomes a cult when a group exalts a human being and its teachings apart from the rather exaltation of Jesus Christ and his doctrines which came from God Himself! If they exalt egwhite's teaching rather than the Bible itself and teaches that her writings is the authority for faith and doctrine instead of the word of God, then it becomes a cult!

You are not correct in using John 8:32...It states, "And ye shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you Free. It doesn't say (Set you Free) because you set animals Free. GOD'S children are Made Free.

I don’t believe you people understand the seriousness of the apostasy in the church and what God is saying in the scripture. Read Ezekiel chapter 8 and 9. It’s serious folks. It’s serious. Don’t get excited about the millions in the church. Remember the small group that was found faithful throughout scripture. The spirit of Prophecy says whole churches will be lost and 1 out of 20 might be saved in some churches. Many of God’s faithful people are out there and the Holy Spirit will lead at the right time. Remember there’s going to be a repetition of the destruction of Jerusalem our church and it’s more serious than we think and right now we’re headed to fulfillment of this prophecy.
