There is something unnatural and unrealistic about a series or movie set in a country when the majority of the dialogue isn't the in the official language of the country it is set in.
Supposedly explained because she wasn't good at the local language. But she lived there how many years? And she was obviously very intelligent. She should had put effort into learning...
I couldn’t get over this. The use of English and the British accents just made it difficult to concentrate. Even in an are with expats, expecting them all to speak English is a stretch
its had a great premise but poor execution, as the title said "who is erin carter?" i think this would be answered great like spionage movie but no. erin carter character is too impulsive to be a "secret agent", yes she troubled but i always piss off of what she's doing, like she's even didnt try to cover her identity. fight robery is okay but chasing and killing at school? helping Emilio again and again? more of that all the character are too coincidence like how her ex-gangs roberry and big bosses are on the same place man i wish they have a good writing,
huh, she's in three fights, goes home without a scratch, gets into shorts, hubby notices NOTHING, come on. and, this meme is repeated more than once. like you said, some scenes are really top notch, Evin Ahmad is an actress with huge potential, but the series is really flawed.
I enjoyed this show a lot. Not a 10/10 perfection but for a hot Sunday in front of the telly, 7/10 easy. One thing that I really liked.. Erin's Jeans.. I mean wow. 🤣
I felt it did not have a lot of meaning, just violence and violence and violence. The story felt pretty simlpyfied, and like in a soap opera, the situation got worse in pretty random ways from minute to minute. I watched it, i don't mind it but did not give me much. Erin karateing 10 guys down in every second minute was like a cartoon...
Exactly, I thought I was watching a mystery drama but a few episodes in I noticed it was an action movie and the plot just served as an excuse for the countless fight scenes. I started skipping them towards the end because it was already clear that Erin can take punches, knives, bullets, anything and go back to teaching the next day lwithout as much as a scratch.
this is how I see it, she was literally traumatized and bottled it all up until the event at the Supermarket when the memories of her old life started to resurface. She was no longer a little child and could start thinking for herself, she knew her life was a lie and that her mom was keeping secrets until she had the courage to ask the difficult question, and her behavior changed once she was told the truth.
I finished it just a few minutes ago. I give it a 6/10. Not great but it was entertaining. Lots of unrealistic & cheesy parts. The last episode was kind of disappointing.
The series is actually quite good for the first 3 episodes, the 4. is great, the 5. is good, the 6. is ok and the last episode is just so stupid, it ruined the whole series
Once you accept that this is an action soap opera, it gets easier to suspend belief and enjoy the show. They do enough to get you invested in every character including even Daniel.
I agree, believability hurt the series. She gets shot, bleeds to unconsciousness....then gets up and starts beating up men three at a time. And even before that, a 95 pound woman...or any woman....isn't beating a "special forces" guy in a fight. But the actress is extremely attractive, which is helpful 😄.
I was totally appalled at the husband who couldn't even sniff or detect anything about his wife' who half the time goes missing, acts strangely, comes back late hours with injuries, cuts, wounds and giving him some crap story all the time. He was such a dumbass and even believed it when she said she was an alcoholic 😂. Story line was unrealistic a school teacher who was hardly at school but busy shooting, killing, punching people along the way but never gets investigated by the police.? How did she get away with smashing the whole classroom, killing Margot and burying her in the woods? No police investigation after they found the body? Didn't the school investigate how the classroom got wrecked? It was just not realistic. Too many episodes dragging on that I practically fast-forwarded to see the ending. Unbelievable she got shot yet survived and kept killing and fighting off people. Erin Carter was practically a selfish person who just wanted the daughter to be hers and even go to the extent of getting rid of anybody who got in her way even the real mother if necessary. She had no remorse of stealing someone else's kid. Best part is after shooting and killing off all the criminals she gets to go back to her normal life of being a school teacher and not even questioned by police on the killings ? Not even the school queries her background? Felt really sorry for the real mother. That was a great sacrifice.
The real mother surprised me when she found Erin because she went from being a very likeable character in episode 4 to a callous, brutal bully. Only to change back into her old self minutes before the (very rushed) ending. Re her going back to teaching, I think it was hinted at the end that she keeps her cover as Erin Carter the teacher, but the secret police guy will force her to help in dangerous investigations in exchange for not exposing her. To who though... to the police? Why can't they know she works for an undervover elite unit? My other big questions are: Why does the police check her background as a former nanny in Strasbourg but don't ask themselves how a substitute teacher and a nurse can afford a house in the hills and a private school for their daughter? Especially if she didn't touch the gold from the heist. Why do Jordi and Harper leave her at the house when they drop Harper off at Olivia's place because the house isn't safe? Why are they even at home, weren't they visiting Jordi's parents in Canyelles?
it was disapponting it moved slow with revealing her back ground and i knew daniel wasnt any good from the introduction of his character and the ending was rushed . If this is going to be a series they need to create actual suspense and thriller to it
I didn't buy it from the first show. I watched Ep1 and part of Ep2 then the last 20 minutes of the last Ep so far and like days of our lives I didn't feel like I missed anything. The show was still doing the same thing. I know the show is loved by a lot of people. It's just not my kind of show.
So many things didn’t tie together. She got beat to a pulp 5 or 6 times, then washes her face and heads off to bed. Her rear window is shot out, nothing explained to her husband- magically replaced 😂
I thought it started off as a relatively believable premise. Then, each episode got less & less believable. I know all about the need to "suspend disbelief", but the characters need to behave in a human way or within the rules of that character. For instance, Erin could beat up any man she came into contact with. At first, in the grocery store, this was believable. She had the element of surprise. She used props. But as the story unfolded, she is not a surprise & she's using hand-to-hand combat with ex-special forces...with a stomach wound. Huh? During the scene, after the gunshot, I recalled DieHard when Bruce Willis is hoping around with cut feet. He never suddenly has healed feet, does he? Doesn't he grimace & limp the rest of the movie?
One and only half way through the first episode, the reason NOT TO CAST YOUNGSTERS WIT TEMPER TANTRUMS! 🤮 Just because there are scenes of Barcelona, sorry, enough not to go onto the next episode! 👎👎👎👎👎
I know this is random but me and my dad are going to the movies this Sunday for the first time in 30 years and we can’t decide if we should see Blue beetle or Grand Turismo. Which is better?
Love these Netflix takes. It’s a platform that is over saturated and it’s good to find what is worth watching.
Thank you!

She had a black eye, a bruise on her forehead and a cut on the bridge of her nose. And her husband does not notice it. WOW
This show was surprisingly really good ! 8/10

When's your Only Murders in the Building S3 review dropping?
Season 3 is still being aired..

got beat up, had a gun shot, but still walked for miles, stole a truck...and just walking straight hahah..stupid
Total crap!!! The storyline is almost as bad as the acting!
The last episode was rushed! The birth mother becoming mates with Erin last min and sacrifices herself lol.
yeah i was just like LUL wut???
It's a cheesy show that I couldn't stop watching. Is it political incorrect to say the little girl is annoying and a brat😂
Her mom literally called her “annoying” lol
I think her role is intentionally annoying
It was absolutely rubbish

It was one of those shows where it stayed on the train tracks then totally fell off towards the end. 5.5/10 in my opinion.
I agree it was a disappointment for sure

This is why is a movie, not a documentary. I take this kind of movies as superhero movies for men but for women 😂
I know who Aaron Carter is, and this is not him.
