    Portugal was the fastest and had the highest rate when it came to vaccination. Most European countries have very similar rates approximating 80% +.. All of the Front Bench should be off the next leader list.. There has to be a decent candidate on the back benches. Boris's cabinet are all tainted by their support for him until the bitter end.

    The first guy paying his taxes but choosing to pay for private school was fair enough. What is not fair is private schools with charity status or any form of taxpayer money getting to them. The tangent about non doma or offshore is a different topic and he was neither. I work for an accounting firm but agree those legal tax evasion schemes need to be stopped to maximise tax income for the uk

      Hiding behind the anonymity of the internet provides , they can talk utter nonsense without any repercussions from the social stigma of being the complete moron that they are.
      They get empowered by "thumbs up" and "X likes this", do 0 research besides the memes they receive from their echo chamber feeds and equate their drivel to expert opinions.

    They are called public schools because they were the first schools open to the public, for their children. Before that, only schooling was home schooling by employed educators. Upstairs Downstairs times, just another servant. Free church schools them came along. State schooling for all came along later, with acts of Parliament.

  • @frogandspanner
    @frogandspanner 2 года назад +9

    19:19 Boris Johnson was not a democratically elected Prime Minister. He was elected leader of the Conservative and Unionist Party from about 300 of the PCP, from 160,000 members of the CUP, and elected as an MP by 25,351 people in Uxbridge and South Ruislip. The UK electorate at the time was 47,074,800. That is hardly an electoral mandate to be PM.

    • @Sakkir_Stahma
      @Sakkir_Stahma 2 года назад

      What? I detest Johnson, but the Conservative party which he led won the 2019 election by a landslide. That's how a Prime Minister is elected in this country. The proportion of voters who elected him to his seat in parliament versus the total count of electors nationwide is irrelevant and nonsensical.

    • @frogandspanner
      @frogandspanner 2 года назад

      @@Sakkir_StahmaThe number of people who voted for the Prime Minister is irrelevant only if you do not believe in democracy.
      We vote for MPs, not parties. Perhaps when you next vote you should check your ballot paper and you will see that there are named people, who may or may not have a party associated with them. But under UK electoral law and woolly constitution it is the person, and person only, for whom one votes, not the party.
      The un-democratically selected PM then un-democratically selects the Executive/Cabinet who then decide what the elected Parliament can and cannot discuss.
      As for your “the Conservative party which he led won the 2019 election by a landslide”. A landslide 43.6% minority. That is not democracy.
      Returning to my first point: From your comments I assume that you do not believe in democracy.

    • @Sakkir_Stahma
      @Sakkir_Stahma 2 года назад

      @@frogandspanner
      Absurd.
      Of course I believe in democracy. I already said I loathe Johnson. I can add that I also hate the FPTP electoral system which is archaic and, as you point out, allows governments excessive power relative to the votes they actually attract. Electoral reform for me is vital.
      Your assumptions about the motives of voters are simplistic and plain wrong. Your second paragraph here is patronising and insulting. Do you seriously believe that electors vote only for the personality they like best, and never consider the values and stated intentions of the party they represent? Certainly there are always some independents with no party affiliation. But when did you ever see one of these elected to parliament?
      For sure, some vote for their preferred candidate on their particular merits. But others vote for the party they wish to govern, sometimes the party they always support, regardless of the individual who bears their favoured rosette. And still others vote for the party whose leader they wish to see as prime minister. I do not doubt, and neither should you, that a proportion of voters who chose the Tories in 2019, did so, at least in part, because they liked the idea of Boris Johnson being our Prime Minister. They actually fancied the idea of this incompetent, dishonest, unkempt goon running our country, and representing us all internationally.
      So no, you're wrong, voters do not necessarily only consider the name on the ballot paper when they make their choice. As I've explained, it is more complicated than that. And I haven't even touched on tactical voting.

    • @frogandspanner
      @frogandspanner 2 года назад

      @@Sakkir_Stahma I am saying that the only option with which voters are presented is the potential MP on their ballot paper.
      Without evidence I would not accept that voters chose to use their vote to be for a particular party or Prime Minister, as that would show a severe misunderstanding of the UK electoral system, and I do not think the voters are as stupid as that - or perhaps you do.

    What you see and hear from children under the age of 10 are curiosities. What they learn about the Transgender movement is no different from adults’ childhood’s understanding of what homosexuality was back in recent days and what grandfathers remembered learning about race. There will always be societal curiosities that won’t be fully understood as children and if nurtured wrong, will leave their adult selves bigoted against what they were “protected” from. Think about that one.
