    Highlights✨:
    1. Move the microphone stand behind you so you're not caught up in your comfort zone
2.Feel confident with your hands expression, go LARGE!
    3. Watch for the stage hazards before performance
    4. Acknowledge the audience as you walk on stage (smile, wave, wink...)
    5. Go larger than life with your outfit
Fans expect you to be glamorous)))
    6. Openly laugh at your stuff ups:*)
Stay relaxed It can become the highlight of the performance😉
    7. Call your gig by nickname
    8. Take the water bottle with a vessel, straw etc. that's easy to consume on stage
    9. Soundcheck with the band with FULL volume
    10. Never ask the audience a question that requires a direct answer

this was very great! I am a bass player/singer for a 3 piece punk-emo band, and I love getting advice from sources outside my genre, your videos have always been helpful to me!

Great recommendations! My 2 cents: Choose sound check song that has dynamic vocals (and instrumentals) so you can make sure that your softer & bolder vocals will both be optimized throughout the entire performance.

As a pro singer since 1984 I'm pleased to say I do every one of those apart from the band names (my band is Dell). One tip I would add to this is; drink a pint of tepid water before going on stage and you will probably find you don't even need to drink on stage at all. I can sing for three hours without taking any more water.

Do you find that you feel like you need to go to the washroom though if you drink that much water right before you go on? Serious question haha!

@@clarissadiokno No. But then I'm not someone who needs to go often anyway, perhaps 4 times every 24 hours. But even if you normally go soon after drinking a pint of water I think you might find that as you perform on stage your body is using that water to function, and so less will be passed to your bladder during that time than if you were sitting around.

LOL I laugh at my stuff-ups all the time. I once got told to not draw attention to it by saying anything, but I disagree. We all make mistakes, so let's laugh at them and then move on.
