I had two nights of imaging last week after six months of rain and clouds. I too had to update everything and try to remember how to image. I was only able to get a few hours of data in total due to lots of issues.
It's such a beautiful region! I often just look up there when I am outside aiming at something different (Milky Way is my challenge at the moment, but the center is so damn close to the horizon, that gives me all kinds of troubles aka challenges ...). And being into astrophotography for 5 years now I am aware of some of the beauty that's hidden within this Cygnus area, what is only dark sky for our eyes. Sidenote: 1:56, that's why until now I stick to my dslr on my Star Adventurer Gti and process in Siril and LightRoom 🤣. This keeps the number of updates, but of course also the quality of the data, what is wonderful to stay outside late with just a t-shirt is terrible for the noise of the camera 😩
Thanks for sharing your setup and workflow , I've been going through the same update routine after not doing much imaging for that last two years. I had to replace a few USB leads. I'm curious why you think dark flats are useful. If you have darks, bias and flats they should cover all your non-lights needs I think.
Looks good Andy. Thank you.
Looks like a nice set of data Andy
That's turned out great hope you get some more data on the other channels soon so wishing you clear skies

Great video, FYI, you don't / shouldn't use Bias frames when you use Dark flats, its one or the other for best results…👍🏻
Be interested in how you get on with the SVBONY SHO. I was looking at those as a budget set
