Hello Road Trip Randy - Lived in Portland for a little over 20 years. A little longer than your 96 hours. I like the way you reported on this corner of Oregon. Thank you for sharing. Happy Pheet Photography Randy Wiley
Great trip and video. We just got back from there and had an amazing time. Regretting that we haven't been going at least once every few years or even live there. Our first day we went to Silver Falls State Park - I'd recommend that to anyone. Thanks.
Lol. That’s funny about the bike on the freeway. I used to live there but never saw that. It’s very common to see bikes on the regular streets though. It becomes second nature to look over your right shoulder for them before turning right, because there’s usually one there! 🚙🚴♀️
I live in Oregon, right near Portland and have never heard of that guy who lives in a plane. I know in McMinnville we have the famous Spruce Goose that Howard Hughes made, but that plane I had no idea about...
Fantastic video and informative video.get the best deal on hotel rooms while you are in Portland, Oregon, US Check the video -ruclips.net/video/ck0BUsRiN4Y/видео.html
You need to add Sugar Street Bakery and Bistro on this list. Honestly the cupcakes are ridiculously DELICOUS and they are named after Portland streets.... Naito, Pettygrove, Alberta, etc. This place is so popular but still a lot of non locals have no idea about it!
You skipped Seaside for Astoria and Cannon Beach? Rookie move bro... you drove right past it and it has BY FAR the most fun things to do and see... no comparison
You had to drive past it to go from Astoria to Cannon Beach and vice versa (it's right in between) and it is the most popular tourist beach city in Oregon (big events every weekend)... it has a long boardwalk with a huge beach with volleyball nets and swings everywhere.. they have a huge arcade.. putt putt golf... roller coaster and helicopter rides.. golf courses.. you can rent all kinds of bikes to ride on the beach.. etc. check it out my man it's a no brainer next time...
Great video! We’ve lived near Portland for many years and still haven’t visited some of the places you did! I think it’s time to explore our own cities more!
Portland and its surrounding nature seems so great to me that I instantly want to move . :) What about (violent) crimes in Portland? I read about "is safer than 2% of US cities". As I am not from the US, I don't know the explicit impact of that measure. Boston, Detroit, New Orleans - Portland?
Personally, I don't know any of the statistics, but when I was there I felt pretty safe. I'd definitely do more research if you're planning on moving there. But for a visit, I think you'd be fine- just be aware of what neighborhoods you're entering. Like any city, some are rougher than others.
I can't believe how many out of towners that doesn't live in Portland or Oregon and give out wrong information. Like Astoria is not 2 hours north of Portland. If you were to drive 2 hours north you would be in Washington state and more than half way to Seattle. Astoria is 1 hour 55 minutes Northwest of Portland.
Glen, it sounds like you're a details kind of guy. I get it. But how many people are really going to be led astray because a random RUclips video said Astoria is north instead of northwest?
Damn seems like you guys did all the tourist stuff. Meanwhile I’m out here doing stuff no utuber does lol. So sad people only know about what they google. They don’t actually go out and explore lmao.
I live in Portland Oregon. I moved from another state, thousands of people move to Oregon, for multiple reasons. Mostly because it's so green, the air is so fresh and clean, a lot of rivers, lakes, and here in Portland where I live the ocean is close. That being said, I don't think we have good political leaders, the results and some problems, such as Anifa, besides those deceived programmed fools, and a few other problems, Portland Oregon is so beautiful and wonderful. I take my motor boat on the rivers, go to the ocean, the food is so good, there are a lot of beautiful parks and nature areas, my university has a beautiful part in the center. There all too many people living here, it seems like so many people want to move to Portland Oregon, so there are A LOT of people. The wealthy move here and buy out the land, housing, and other resources, because of this situation, along with bad political leaders, there are a lot of homeless, there is a big financial divide, but one important thing about Portland Oregon is, if you get a good education, have skills, and find a way to contribute to society, you can live really well.

Just stumbled across your channel and I love it! Are you headed anywhere else any time soon?

Thanks for the tip
Astoria isn’t Portland though, maybe say you’re spending time in the nw instead..
You’re right. There’s an asterisk in the opening title graphic for that very reason though. 😉
There isn’t an astrix
you can stay in Portland and visit Astoria, maybe that is the thought.
That's true, Portland Oregon is very green, it looks like he filmed in the winter, even in the winter Portland Oregon is green.
Great fun 🎉
Thanks

Haha. Thanks!
Great Video!
Thanks!
Portland is a city that Seattle can only aspire to be. And I have lived in Seattle since 1996.
How did you get in touch with the owner of the plane?
His website has all the info and email address: Airplanehome.com
Awesome video, I plan on going soon!
Where do I contact the man who lives in the plane!?
Thanks! He's got a website: airplanehome.com with all the info on there.

I really enjoyed it up there. Have to agree, the nature is 👌
Fun fact: You may pump your own gas in Oregon on Indian reservations or if you are on a motorcycle.
good to know!
You skipped most of Portland. You stayed in the nicest places. Not a fair enough review.
We were on vacation. Why would we intentionally go to bad parts?
You gotta stop by Asheville weird is welcome
KEEP PORTLAND WEIRD 🌲
Its trashed now. Thanks
OREGON IS A VERY NICE STATE PORTLAND NOT SO MUCH!
Ha, it was still intact but that was before three years of Biden.
I live in Portland , and I don’t understand the craze over Voodoo donuts there not even that special lmao
Haha, I mean they're definitely not standard, but if there was a line out the door, we would have skipped it.
Road Trip Randy ya it’s worth it if there’s no line
Me neither. I always laugh when I pass those long lines of tourists standing and waiting to buy those mostly crummy, overpriced donuts.
You skipped the homelessness, crack heads, traffic and how hard it is to get home after a trailblazer game
It got lot of Antifa
This state sucks!!
