these newer videos where he talks is much better as you get a bit more info than with the text on screen in the past
Agree :)
And that sexy Russian accent. He can call me cyka blyat any day of the week. 😊

That's why I watch him. I hate Sariel
@@MrAmorti wait really?
It looks better than Zetros, it has more functions, and is twice cheaper. Great set!
but the zetros has differential locking and insane torque
@@Unbrickme yeah
@@Unbrickme That's true, but the tow truck has more functions, pneumatics, and a better price-per-piece (although it is expected that the Mercedes would cost more because of all the motors and the very expensive battery box). Both sets also introduce a new feature into LEGO TECHNIC (2nd axle lifting for the tow truck, differential locking for the Zetros) but I think the differential locking is more practical and cool.
All things considered, the Zetros is good if you have enough money to buy it (and you like capable trial trucks with cool functions), but the tow truck is a great deal for the price if you're looking for a cheaper option or a set with more functionality.
@@Unbrickme don't give a s... about that. They are useless.
I personally want the zetros
3:41 "with even more spaghetti" haha bro im dying
Great informative review, as usual! I really like the setup of your reviews, showing the building phase and explaining the details. Keep it up!
I agree with RB, this set is a great deal! I also appreciate how there aren't any...let's just say, glaring issues with the set. Also, as another commenter pointed out, I really like how all of your new videos have voiceovers, your old videos had text at the bottom which was not nearly as easy to read and watch, whereas now we can listen and watch the video at the same time!
Epic, thanks for showing it by the anthem
Did not expect the pulleys on the back lmao.
And I get what you meant by pay attention while building, when building the anthem trailer I wasn’t fully paying attention and once I finished the model had to tear apart one of the cranes to invert a single gear
Truck is huge, with a lot of axles compacted in the frame. Good job from the team who designed it. I built is with my son after he got it for Christmas and it definitely takes a while to build the first time
Thanks for the video review, great as always and very informative. And thank you for including the towing possibility of 42078.
I bought this set recently having not touched technic for years, I love it - it feels very traditional and complicated.
Great review of a great set! Easily the best Technic set for quite some time.
I love the pneumatic functionality but I couldn't help myself and modify it. It now has 2 large cylinders to raise and lower the boom. I lowered the height of the boom and moved the light bar to the boom structure like the real trucks have. In any case it's an awesome set.
I agree, it's a must have. I can't wait to start building my b model 😅
Daludi’s lego technic crations you are italian? I am too 🇮🇹
@@ThatBoyGeremy Sì, sono italiano 🤜🤛
@@Dadudi grande 👍mi sono iscritto al tuo canale, belli i tuoi video
Whats the B model going to be?
@@macdaddy2344 I have a few ideas, stay tuned on my channel to eventually see it😁
The front mud guard problem could be easily solved with a 2 x 1 brick on each side where the gap is. Shame they didn't think of that solution.
I highly doubt they did not think about it. The real question is why they decided to keep it empty?
I have been looking forward to your review for a long time RacingBrick! Great review and an awesome display of all the functions and looks. A shame that it can't properly tow the Concrete Mixer Truck (which I have), I thought the designers would make it more compatible with other TECHNIC sets. Definitely getting this set though! :D
Thanks for the video. It was way to hard to wait after you showed us the boxes.
Nice, thx!
To use the rotator properly it looks like you have to use the pump, vent and both hooks at the same time. Classic pneumatic-problems, I like it ;)
I am addicted to these newer type videos! They make me wanna buy tons and tons of Lego. 😂
No wonder this is the best set of the wave... it's designed by the legendary Markus Kossmann. Can't wait to mod it with 2 Air Tanks to make it even greater.
I prefer a Technic set packed with dozens of functions like this one than to have a high priced mediocre one with a bunch of accessories or a crappy B-Model. This way I know all the energy was put into designing the main model.
Got this set today to add to my collection, looking forward to the build.
Great set and love your reviews
Let's gooood! I'm so excited for new technic!
I remember seeing a real-life one hauling a truck still attached to a trailer!
i got the forest machine and loved the pneumatics, then took it apart to play with the parts, i love just watching the pneumatics work and i ahve saved up my money and i want to get this set when it is in stock or from bricklink because i love it
Thanks for the review
I definitely enjoyed building this set. I didn’t use the stickers that came with it though. I still haven’t decided if I want to add the stickers yet.
Being a truck driver and more so that I just had my truck towed last week I'm very familiar with these trucks IRL. One thing I can tell you is the top boom is not common on most heavy tow trucks. Semitrucks are towed with the low bar and preferably from the rear. They'll lock the steering with the seatbelt and tow the truck. I have seen a few with that top boom in my time but I have only ever seen that used to upright rolled trucks and trailers or pull vehicles out of ditches. I have never seen a truck being towed by that. Just thought I would give a little clarity on the RW operation of those.
Just last week. I saw 2 of these rigs with booms recovering a semi that went off the side of an off ramp with the booms.
All heavy wreckers in North America have a boom or a rotator.
I don't collect technic sets and I don't even like to build with technic but I like so much to watch speedbuilds and reviews of them :P
Enjoyed the video!
I own this set and, I personally think it is great. However, I did have a problem with the engine as it kept on exploding when going too quick.
I think it might have been caused by the crankshaft nudging the piston, which were slightly stuck.
Please let me know if any of you had this problem.
I only don't like the engine too much since it's a bit too simple (wish it was one like the previous large technick tow truck from Lego) and a box with tools would be nice (although understandable as you pointed out due to space used for knobs, handles and pneumatics. But other than that, awesome set. Lots of functions, good looks and decent price.
I am getting this set for Christmas and am binge watching videos about it. This is so cool.
Was it hard to build?
REPLY
nice vid!
I just ordered this set from amazon for $219 or something close to that, the only reason why I bought it was I saw on Lego's website that the truck features a LIFT AXLE! I've been trying to add one to my Technic Unimog U400 (I bought the U400 from Legoland in Florida), so with the instructions from this set, I can add a third liftable axle to my Unimog U400 in the future. Hoorah!!!!!!
Great Video!
I wish the osprey military helicopter fully came out,. It is one of my favorite sets
yessssss a cool set
Great video!! It would be great to see how it compares to the 8285 Tow Truck from 2006
If all of those manual functions (except steering of course) would be connected to one Gearbox, and all be controlled by one Knob on side or somewhere, this set would be perfect. But its still cool, Definetly would get it
Cool looking set with a bunch of playing functions. In my opinion its a bit short, and the crane is bigger than it supposed to be, but I can fix that later. 😎
Many thanks for you
this set is awesome. your channel is getting me interested in the technic sets. i want one of these awesome expensive ones 😃 i’ll probably only get one though, because my lego collection already takes up too much room. will have to do some research and figure out which one i’ll get.
Will definitely be adding this to my collection
It could be a great idea to show your collection no ? 😁
ahhhh yes more stuff to ad in my powerpoint
Lol, good luck with convincing your parents. But this set is so awesome and functional that I'm sure convincing your parents won't be too hard. :)
I definitely prefer the colour coded pins. Difficulty adds to the fun.
Dude I still can’t finish the Mack anthem. Great video!
This is a great set
You helped me find some pieces
You can replace the tow bar with a shorter beam so it fits between the axle
This looks nice and functional! Well I hope you have the Ford F-150 raptor set!
So far there only been one or two, I might be becoming impatient, but I know how long it takes to build a good model and make instructions!
I was a bit frustrated with the pneumatic system, because I didn't realise that the blue one was a pump
So thank you for that haha, I'll definitely subscribe to see more Lego videos
Getting one of them for sure, tow trucks
So you can buy 2 of these for the zetros... :D
Its also got a lot of pneumatics, would love to get this set!
Yes the review is here
This is something i really want
Liked your video..
I wish that the Lego set would have the same solution as 8868 so you don't have to hand pump
Once I build the tow truck the engine worked fine but after a while, the engine started clunking to the point the engine falls apart. Any ideas for the fix?
i would really like to see the comparison between this set and 42008
Now I need it
The Mac being towed by the wrecker is a foreshadowing as to why my morning my day is going absolutely terribly. Ended up snapping the U bolt on the driveshaft.
At first I thought I wouldn't like the set but after seeing this review and seeing Sariel's review on the Mercedes 42129, I think this is a great set and now can't wait to get it!
I like it. Might build without any stickers though
I really want to modify own to be a Peter 589 with a lowboy trailer like what we use at work to haul our milling equipment.
Hehe if the cover pic is based in the US the trick is on the wrong side of the road! I'm about to start section 4 of this build and so far I'm very impressed. This is alot of Lego and functionality and technicality for the price! Awesome set 9/10 👍😊
I liked new Lego Technic Summer Set in August 2021 year the towed Heavy broken trucks to deliwery cargo in clients😄
bends a bit in the middle when you press the pump it looked like?
I have both of them!
I think the boom designer loved im blue too much.cool build is it ok for playing or more of an display piece?
I just assembled this but there seems to be an issue in the rear pneumatic cylidner that raises the tow bar - it doesn't go up. There is no mistake in the assembly, it just seems to not generate enough force to lift it (and I don't put anything there, just a dry run). I always have to give it a push with my finger then it immediately works as it supposed to. Any solution to this? Otherwise, fantastic set.
Very beautiful set, only two downsides.first it has not automatic pump ,i wonder if it is possible to put one and second i would prefer an old type V6 engine and not those six small bars going up and down.
so cool
I have this it is so hard to build i gave up and decided to make my own tow truck
Can you do a video on ur full collections showing off your sets
Mine wouldn’t drive forward without the engine being destroyed so I just adjusted where the pieces were the it worked fine
its a good price for the pieces an the functions!!
Nice build and a nice truck indeed i like your video process too so nice job here
Sadler_bricks
I got this set not to long ago, it restarted a connection i thought was lost.
Do you guys maybe know where I can find and order a 2.5 inch grey cable part for this set, that goes on the top of the trucks arm?
Waiting for motorizing!
I heard there was an easy fix for the rotation of the boom. I couldn't find any information online. Could someone explain what the "fix" he speaks of in the video?
I'm struggling on page 44, #69. Just cannot get the large yellow cog to sit in the grooved grey spinner and at the same time keep the two grey beams level.. where am I going wrong?
I own this set!
Yes, finally!
a fan of Lego trucks technic
i love lego 😍😍😍😍
If i ever got this you best believe that id be role playing Hwy Thru Hell scenes
Ps hwy thru hell is a towtruck show for those wondering highly recommend to watch
I had a problem with that engine which kept making the pistons fly out
I think Lego did a good job on this set. And it's affordable. For inofficial B models we have to check rebrickable in the near future.
I bought the porsche.Which one should.o build turbo or targa
Hello,
Do you have the part numbers of that quick little fix for the crane?
Or someone else in the comments?
How dose it compare to the 8285 tow truck kit that i have
What would you recommend between this, the Land Rover defender, and the new rescue helicopter?
Right up until you showed the sticker sheet I thought that the stickers on the sides of the cab were supposed to be dinosaurs
And, I can confirm first hand that a real european tow truck has space for about 7 pallets of traffic cones, chains, tools and other towing equipment
how do you manage to get the string on without problems because i have been at it for an hour straight and have not been able to tie it properly and that has ruined the whole experience of the set for me
In your view could this have a motoring unit fitted?
Tha ks
Anyone else find the instruction book said that there where more pneumatic tunes than what was provided
There is an easy solution for the Open gap at the front it is amazing
hi just building this but the engine only turns smoothly backwards, how is yours?
I’m currently worried because of the highdrolics because it is anti sieze on the metal and I touched it and bit my nails and anti seize causes cancer
