What an awesome boat. Stylish, built for use, no compromise. I absolutely love it. There is not a single thing i would have done differently. Thanks for braving the weather!
I'd probably turn the Upper saloon into an owners cabin. Also seems a bit overkill to have three wet/grill bars on a 76 footer given how fantastically well appointed and centrally located the wonderful Galley is. Go for a high class "tray bar" that can easily be moved about if need be. Space is more of a premium concern on a vessel this size than convince. I'd also add a skylight above the dinning room and coat all the windows with glare-less. Lastly I'd shrink the bow cabin berth to as queen and lower it. Easier to deal with a smaller size than low headroom above, and having to have a step ladder to get in and out of the berth lol.
These Bering Yacht certainly give you the overall feeling of a New York apartment rather than yacht. It is nice to see a rainy day representing true conditions that the Bering 76 will see on it's Round The World Adventure. Thanks Nick!
By far my favourite boat I've seen on the channel. If I had the money for a yacht, I'd want one like this, as I can't see the sense in paying millions for a yacht, that only has a 200-300 mile range.
Wow that is a dream boat…..I bet the owner has some fun with that. Shame Portsmouth wasn’t looking her best for your visit. Thanks to the owner for being generous enough to let you show us. Thanks to you for all the content you provide, I’ve watched nearly all of it.
Can't wait for meet the owner. My choice of yacht - Bering. I love everything they represent. So solid, quiet and sturdy - literally go anywhere, anytime. This is a beautiful example and it's a one off - another Bering trait. Just lovely; its a 76ft 100ft+ yacht! Great tour again! thanks Nick 🙂
Bering's make the best explorer yacht and this 76 is an amazing boat. Congratulations to the new owners, I really hope they have a lot of fun with her.
Gotta love Bering. Everything is serious ship stuff on these, absolutely no compromise. Also gotta love Alexis when he shows off his nice products 🙂 Great tour, as always, Nick, thank you very much!
Just about the perfect boat (although I'd want the heads put back on the bridge deck - don't want to be 2 flights of stairs away from a bog!), and once again the Aquaholic magic gives us the all-access pass.
I'm all about heads on boats. 100% would put the head(s) back on the bridge deck but I also think once you get into boats of this size there should be a head(s) just inside the rear doors of the main for people playing/partying out back.
Excellent presentation , thank you . Admittedly, a beautiful yacht for this owner. For me however, too modern and very cold. A Bering hull with a Nordhavn interior. Now that would be perfection.
I read about this yacht last night, so perfect timing to watch a tour! What a wonderful vessel for exploring the world. I’m really looking forward to the ‘meet the owner’ on this one. Seems like my early retirement dream.
Thanks Nick. What a great yacht. I like the Bearing lineup very much. This one especially, as it’s close in size and layout as to what Victoria and Rico are having built. I’d love to see a collab with them when their boat is done. Meet the owner, and all that good stuff.
Fine English weather. The bright cabin is a refreshing contrast to the grey clouds and Aquaholic is always a ray of sunshine. Your interview with the owner on a companion video offers insight and entertainment. The Bering shows well as a true global explorer.
The finish on this is nice, as to be expected. What is most stunning to me is the sound, or lack of it, moving about the interior. Your voice doesn't reverberate in the rooms, we don't hear other guest conversing upstairs or bumbling about the deck, nor can we hear the heavy rain or wind outside. The most reverberant room was the lower deck pantry, with hard surfaces everywhere, and yet the interior was still pleasantly quiet. An X-factor of quality that might not get the accolades it deserves.
Really looking forward to your interview with this owner. They display exquisite taste, serious sea-going nous, and appear to know a thing or two about living as well. Can't wait.
This is an amazing boat. I had to keep looking at the description to remind myself it was a 76 footer ... most of the features made it seem like a 100 plus foot boat - everything seemed so spacious. About the only thing that made it look like a 76 foot boat was the crew area. This is definitely a credit to the owner for having the vision, the builder for making it happen, and of course, yourself Nick, for a fabulous tour.
Ooh, I’ve been waiting for a Bering review for ages! This is the welcome distraction I need from all the horrible things I’ve been going through lately. 🙏
I love this one! I like how customized it is for personal world cruising, I could never imagine having a crew with me all the time, owner operation on a yacht this size is just incredible
For me Bering is now giving Nordhavn a run for their money as my favourite. Both utterly beautiful and purposeful boats. Brilliant video as always Nick. Definitely worth braving the elements for
Thanks for the well comprehensive enjoyable tour , Great vessel that is, looking forward to the owner interview video! Thanks again Keep them coming please. Cheers
Can you please enlighten us if possible why Bering Yacht prefer to use Steel rather than GRP! as Nordhavns!? and how do they protect them from rusting!? @@AQUAHOLIC Thanks again
Wow. A LOT of boat for a sub 100 ft. yacht. I love Bering's subdued luxury, practicality and ranga. Thanks a lot Nick. You definitely earned your supper today...in gale force winds..
Nice tour of a serious machine. Combining style with solid construction. Bering is probably my favourite 'pocket explorer' builder right now. If you were on it whilst under way you would realise how much quieter it is on board compared to a Nordhaven. It is the way Bering build them with steel and then isolate all the decks and walls for soundproofing. I have seen videos of Nordhavens where the person on camera can only just be heard above the engine noise where I have seen Berings where hard pressed to hear the engines in the pilot house! I am looking forward to hearing what the owner has in store for that yacht. Real shame about the weather there.. you are a trooper Nick, and I think you only said "Little Ship" once or twice !
I totally love this boat. Seen this twice now.. and I whilst I cannot afford an 80 esp crew issues.. I can afford this. I was leaning towards cat but I am disabled to a degree so this would be fantastic. The ability to remain off shore at anchor for long periods really appeals to me.
I would agree with keeping it under 24mtr to owner operate without crew. But you could go up to around 87ft yacht if its got enough rake to the bow. Which would give much more deck, upper deck, and with the right layout lower deck space. The johnson 87 is a good example with bridge deck. Nethertheless, I agree with Nick showing more yachts just under the 24mtr. Just wish he would state the draft for them, because it does dictate access to a lot of places in UK.
I've really come to love the Bering yachts. I like this 3 cabin layout, though think I'd put the laundry in the larger space and move storage into smaller. The dining area I think, for me, would like better with some sort of fixed design. Maybe an informal booth/settee? Anyway, love the open design and lighter color scheme. And that range. WOW! Thank you, Nick, for braving the elements and getting us a look at this boat. And a big thanks to the owner.
This was really interesting and very different - it truly feels like a (very nice, admittedly) house rather than a fancy yacht. Obviously it has many beautiful yacht touches and all the benefits of one, but the bedrooms and living spaces really felt like someone's home first, and a yacht second. What a refreshing change of pace
I visited Portsmouth while in the US Navy way back in 2006. It was the very first foreign port visit ever for me. I went to Gunwharf Quays, Spinnaker Tower, and stopped at Dickens birth home. Ate some bangers and mash at a pub, and walked around a bit at the navy base. Nice to see you somewhere I've been. Great tour as always. Can't wait for you to come to my homestate of Florida again.
Fantastic yacht. Though I am concerned about the engines being covered. Won't it be difficult for daily maintenance and to check for oil and fluid leaks? Plus if you're underway, you won't be able to spot, from the engine room cameras, any problems arising from the engine due to the fact they are covered up.
I do so love these displacement craft - might not have the up and out speed that so many love, but wow the places you can go, things you can see, and people you can avoid.
A very nice yacht, I like the layout especially the galley area. It looks like a great choice for long slow trips around the world. Great tour Nick thank you.
Thanks for braving the rain Nick! Bering are seriously built and meant for some real exploring. I do find the thick mullions a little intrusive internally though.

From all I have heard, even though from the model number it should be smaller than this boat, it actually seems to be way larger and even more customised. However, in that context I am going to be even more excited to see the interview with the owners, that should be a real treat 😎

Excellent tour, and boat. Would be good if you could do a little more on the power systems in your tours? For example on entry into the crew cabin on the left were 4 Victron Skylar heavy duty battery chargers, and on the right were 3/4 high powered Quatro mains inverters... It's great to know the main engine power, but increasingly the electrical power systems are almost as interesting. Would be keen to know how many newer boats are now embracing Lithium batteries rather than Lead acid too.. Thanks,
Asking out of ignorance, is it safe using the hi-low platform entrance to the crew quarters/engine room while cruising? I suspect not and the hatch to/from the cockpit being used instead.
