Renee, your videography and story-telling skills are so amazingly beautiful! You make it seem so easy but I’m sure you devote the majority of your time creating these videos that capture the wonderful life you all live. Thank you so much for sharing a bit of it with us💜
I agree!!! I've been watching them since the beginning on the monohull!! I LOVE watching their content more than most other sailing channels. Thank You ZATARA for what you do!!!
Hey Renee, Just keep doing what your doing because it works. To the rest of the Zatara family, way to go! You make it look easy and the smiles share with us how much fun your having.
As my wife and I are planning are trip around the world I know she will be taking more notes from this one. She is currently watching all Z crews videos for the 2nd time. Thank you Z crew!
What an amazing life style you guy’s have, I’ve been watching now for quite awhile. I can’t imagine all my kids growing up on a catamaran. Everyone seem to love it. What an awesome adventurous life. You only live once. Just amazing. I think I would love it. But for now, it’s fun to be living through you! You guys are the real deal. Definitely brave too. ❤
Renee your editing skills are excellent! Loved the opening shots of the family doing what they do out there on the water! And thanks for sharing what you do too! I'm jealous watching your upcoming cruising schedule! I look forward to all that you share with us over the next year! Visited Dubrovnik's ancient walled city (everyone should visit) few years ago now and sailed around Croatia's islands and visited their national parks, just amazing, and the Adriatic Sea... is just phenomenal!!! God Bless!!
Love how cruisers share vital information, that's always the right spirit. Atticus, Uma, Zatara, GBU you all make our landlocked lives interesting! Wish you blessings and thanks!
Your kids are just so amazing, Kate is all girl but she sure can keep up with Jack and Fin. I love watching your videos, you all are my favorite channel. I have been watching y'all since day one, got to watch the kids grow up and watch mom and pop learn this life and your videos are top of the line. Thanks for sharing.
You all have quickly became my favorite sailing channel. You guys have so much fun out there and it's so wholesome to see you guys do it as a family. Cheers 🍻

I know about the Schengen because it is an aggravation to people like me who like to travel for a year or so at a time. When I am somewhere for only the 90 days, I do use the Schengen calculator to keep track of time. So,when I lived in Moldova last year, I traveled to Poland, Croatia, the Czech Rep, Romania, etc... and was able to keep an exact accounting for my Moldova stay.

As always a nice video. Thank you for the weekly entertainment. I really enjoy your content. You are a lovely family. By the way, Schengen is a little town in Luxembourg - a little country between France, Germany and Belgium.
Another groovy day in the life sailing video. Jack and Finn both play guitars. They should put together a rock album, and hold a world contest for a lead singer for the album.
Great episode, guys Renee mentioned the workshop for the Bluewater Cruising, this workshop will give you a chance to talk with Keith and his business partner Chris. I have gone through a previous workshop and highly recommend it.

Is there anything you guys miss about your life before this sailing lifestyle? Just started watching your channel and have binge watched almost all… love you guys !
Hi there, Your life is my dream life. I love how the parents kid with each other and the family are very happy together. The sib rivalry is normal but you get along. Keep up the good work. Rene, I just found a you tube vid on keeping cilantro for a month. I tried it and it stayed great for 4 weeks, at 6 weeks it was just starting to go. I love the stuff but hate when it goes so bad in my fridge so quickly.. So here's how. When you get it home, wash it, clean it off so its all fresh looking, dry it, with towels. then,... lay it fairly spaced on paper towels, then roll them up, place in a ziplock and store in the fridge. Trust me, you'll love it!! Looking forward to Thursdays. Jo :D
I don’t blame you Renee for not kiting, I just turned 56 😮 and have issues with my right arm, I can’t even water ski anymore, the thought of an injury has me more cautious these days! But it does look fun, I’m glad they get to enjoy it ! Blessings
I want to thank you all for this wonderful entertainment. I live to watch your show. You give me hope & laughs very up lifting. Keep up the good work & stay safe . May God watch over us all.
Hey Keith. How long did it take you to feel totally comfortable to sail? Like where you were confident in fixing things, plotting your path and not worried about bad weather? Since your kids have grown up on the boat, do you see the difference in their risk taking (greater?) And how has it affected their ability to adapt? Do they see the world a lot smaller where they could live outside the US? Are your children better at repairing things when you compare yourself growing up in "just Texas"? You have to be resourceful in the world. How has the boat changed your spending habits because of your limited space and lifestyle? How has travel made them less American (I see they use Metric, Celsius more). Thanks for sharing your blessed lives! 🌍

Renee, fully understand your not doing kiting and other things. My son and I are avid skiers. I have been for forty years. Been all over US and been to Europe. My wife did it a few times and even though she picked it up quickly. Not for her. Makes her nervous. Were all good. We all travel but son and I ski and she just enjoys nosing around town and kicking back. Thanks for sharing your story and all the great vids! Also interesting you share with the other sailing u tubers. Suspect you all watch many of their offerings.
I love you guys! Yes, start your morning with a kiss. I'm with you Rene, I don't have the patience or skill but the rest of you look like you are having a blast kite sailing. I close my eyes too when someone else is driving and sometimes when I'm driving, lol! I've been following you since you started and the fact you are still sailing is amazing. There must be ups and downs as with anyone but you bring joy to my heart, you make a great team.
My dad had a masters license 100 ton. He was a Sport Fishing boat captain owner. When I was around 12 13 out of Oxnard California we’d head out to the Channel Islands to fish. We’d pass through shipping lanes everyday. On the way back dad would take a nap and I watched the wheel and auto pilot. Little did the 30 or 40 passengers know I was at the helm of our 65 foot trawler fishing boat doing around 12 knots maneuvering between cargo ships on the way back in to harbor. 😅 I loved deciding wether I should go behind the ship or beat it crossing in front. Dad would be snoring away as I did all this. Craziness thinking about it now. 😅. The Coroloma was the name of our boat. He went on to buy other boats and owned the Ventura fishing business and the Port Hueneme fishing business later on.
My son in law Egyptian and we go to Sean Roche, and in the desert you can go four wheeling with the Bedouin. It’s kind of like our Las Vegas. You can go watch billy dancers. We’ve gone to a swan Luxor valley of the kings this year I think we’ll go somewhere different in Asia, they also have a home in Alexandria ❤😊
😂😂😂 remember Renee, pops needs them sugas! Dude! Jack and Finn is getting killer on that kite!! Miss Kate is starting to kick butt on it too! Keith Keith Keith, you taught me something this evening on that “shinging” thing, (I know that’s incorrect spelling, just seems right) man Keith, you reminded me of a pirate with them gloves on for some reason. Y’all keep up, love watching this stuff, almost feels like you’re there, it’s just the smell, can’t smell the salt from the ocean from these foothills where I’m at. Y’all are awesome!!
Oh! So happy you are going back to the Sinai!!! My heart belongs to Dahab. Are you there? Snorkel on the aquarium like reef that greets you along the beach... don't forget your tevas or booties! I dove with a traveling freelance British Dive Master, who knew all the spots. But we rode out to them with the locals. The reef drops off 30-50ft from shore into a stunning underwater wall that drops off and spans for miles. Don't forget to check out The Blue Hole... no need to dive it. Just enjoy an epic aquarium / float over the blue snorkel there. Get to know the bedouins with a meal / hang / maybe try a shisha on one of their many relaxing beachfront restaurants. This is ancient (and forever) bedouin owned land. They will take you out for an authentic bedouin meal and night under the stars. I spent my birthday night out there many moons ago. Are you loving it?
I just found your wonderful channel and realised that you are heading to my favourite spot on earth - Dahab!. It's so cool and relaxed! There's a lot of kite surfers in the Laguna area, which has a lot of fancy hotels. But you can also go kite surfing from Lighthouse Bay and the beach north of that area. Go there as well and you will feel the true spirit of the town, that used to be a hippie spot but is changing (too) fast now.
For clarity, the Schengen treaty aligns the entry requirements of participating countries and eliminates border checks when travelling between those countries. One of the aligned rules is that tourist visas allow entry for up to 90 days within any 6 month period; however the much larger benefit is that you don't need a separate entry process for each country, and once you are in the Schengen zone, you can travel anywhere within it without stopping. When travelling from France to Germany (both Schengen zone members), it feels the same as travelling from state to state within the US.
The other thing that the Schengen zone does is permit freedom of movement for citizens of Schengen Zone countries with full work and residence rights as longs as they register their presence within three months of changing country. Any non EU citizen who wants to stay longer than 90 days should look at getting a type 'D' National long stay visa with multi-entry endorsement, if possible. This would mean you'd enter that specific country, then be able to move around the borderless Schengen Zone for up to the visa expiry (max is 1 year) but you'd have to return to the issuing country and exit the Schengen Zone from that country.

He went on to buy other boats and owned the Ventura fishing business and the Port Hueneme fishing business later on.
Since you're here to tell the tale. I seems you made the correct choices regarding passing in front or behind those giant ship's!! Ha!
NO worry Renée! I love boating but wind surf make me crazy trying to learn how to just stand on it! Love super Mum! You are the Queen! Love!
Wow, amazing adventure...I felt in love with all your amazing videos
Enjoy video this week ! 😘⛵️😀 Mike from Missouri
Always a good day when a new zatera video is released
Great post. Nice job. Enjoyed very much. From Seattle WA
That good information about thick passports ! 😘⛵️😀 Mike from Missouri
