Unfortunately, this is useless for someone used to leg pressing over 250 pounds.
scoopdg use multiple bands and pull them tighter, it’ll still be something !
You can also do squats with just your bodyweight and add dumbbells or such.

When attempting these, i don't feel like my quads are doing any of the work, it seems like I'm feeling all or most of the resistance in my hamstrings. How do i move the tension to the quads?

maybe getting a shorter band so there is more tension, thus making it harder to extend :)
If the band is long, double up the band, or use two bands.
I don't think this exercise is something that can be the alternate of leg press. Cause time to time weight variations would be needed
I need to find an alternative to holding my bands. i get severe 'tennis elbow' from holding my arms in that position

i did that exact excercise and the cord rolled off and hit me in both eyes 👁️... stupidly after some time I did it again with the same thing happening.. DON'T DO THIS EXCERCISE it's dangerous

Use a mini band. Its flat.

How much weight does one rubber band equal in kg?
Nothing
Depends on the band. The highest resistance I've seen and have is 50lbs. (About 22kg). You can stack up different bands together to get higher resistance. You can also do squats with your bodyweight and add on any other type of weight (dumbbells, plates, bands, kettle, etc.)
Im sorry but the most effective way to do a leg press is...drumroll please...a leg press machine! I personally dont think you can replicate this move safely any other way - unless you can build your own....
Alternative and safer suggestions would be Bulgarian split squat, lunges or air squats and if you want to make them harder hold for 3 seconds at the bottom and dont fully extend ( keep the quad under consant tension & slow it down)
Give me a couple of months and ima look better and lose the weight
This might me good for females, especially as literally all the comments this far have been women apparently content with this. But for a 190 pound bodybuilder used to leg pressing 800 pounds, thinking this will provide me any stimulus is a joke. Fellas : your better off Investing the 1500$ in a leg press machine and weights. Or get ready to have smaller legs. Lol

Very dangerous - elastic rope rolled off feet at extension and snapped in my face. I’m coordinated and fit and should have known better.

same thing happened to me twice.. it's in a perfect position to hit you dead on in the face and give you 2 black eyes.. especially if you're very old
