Tobie was trained as a classical violonist, I remember a few years ago, she came to visit me , she had just bought a little hurdy-gurdy, the year after she was already a virtuoso.
She is very talented but perhaps its because she is playing it so that it sounds like a violin and ignoring the drone strings completely. Essentially why play a Hurdy Gurdy at all then.

Tobie Miller is an absolute master of the hurdy gurdy .

Nice, some musicians just take to a new instrument in a jiffy. I saw that with saxophones, the stick, pedal steel guitars, harps, etc.
