Only rule is that the whole adventure notes have to fit on the back of a “Greetings From Jacksonville” postcard. Jefe would be Legendary rank for sure.
I can’t thing of a series of books in any game that bring as much value per dollar as the SWADE companion series. The Sci Fi companion will get a video in the near future.
Full disclosure: I'm a boy who loves spooky things, so this is my personal favorite of the SW companions. Nonetheless, like Justin, I recommend adding them all to your gaming table & shelf.
Horror Companion is so great. I love your deep dive on this essential book to add to your SWADE collection. Thank You and I am also really looking forward to your thoughts on the Sci-fi Companion. 😊
I need to spend a little more time with the Science Fiction book before I give my thoughts. If I would have given my Horror Companion opinion right after I received it, that would have been pretty different. Sometimes I need to let it marinate a bit. 😉
hey Justin! Great video! Does the companion come with extra stats and mechanics for things like stress and fear? How does it add the horror mechanically?
There are setting rules that create the tropes of horror and as far as fear, it expands on the existing rules and adds long term effects. Thanks for watching buddy!
Very welcome. I think some of the bigger rules additions are the “buckets of blood” which cause fear checks when people die, and the “slaughterhouse rules”, which I think would be great for running a slasher flick kind of game.
The building was from Black Site Studios, but I painted and affixed furniture/appliances to the house. Used to play the Fallout mini game, these buildings were great for it.
It has a fear mechanic, which can cause psychosis(major/minor), and after developing 4, the character can have a breakdown. The horror companion expanded these rules.
Pinnacle knocked it out of the park with the Companions for SWADE.
Agreed! They are absolute no brainer pick ups.
I love to run an Ash V Evil Dead campaign, with the players just trying to get to Jacksonville against a backdrop of the apocalypse.

Hail to the king baby!
Absolutely spot-on. This is a must-have for SWADE players, in my opinion.

Not Tim! Figured I’d see you on here. Those Monstrous Hero options are pretty fun.
I absolutely agree. 😊

I have not checked that out.
Codex Infernus is a great third-party product. 😊

Did you make those tx pieces?

Looking to get into swade based on these supplements. Does the game have a sanity/panic? Mechanic or the like?
