    This was an absolutely fantastic video, thanks for sharing! Your pacing, detailed run through, video chapters and just everything shown was overall so helpful in demystifying some of the behind the scenes stuff that can feel so daunting when starting out. It also solidified how a camera can only do so much, but it's the lighting that really makes the shot oftentimes. I really appreciate it, keep it up!

    You crushed it man!! I work at a video production company doing interviews exactly like this all the time and this is the go-to setup for us as well. We use Sony FX3's but in my personal work I'm going heavy into Fujifilm and considering picking up the XH2S, so it's awesome to see how they perform in this setup. I absolutely love the barn doors light streak on the back wall, gonna find a time to use that! Thanks for the inspo and keep up the great work!

    This is incredibly helpful for me. Love the straightforward approach showing exactly how you got to the final look (which looks really good to my eye). I've been highly curious about the X-h2s but this may have sold me. I much prefer the greener look to the magenta. I know it can be fixed in post but sometimes I'd rather just see the image I want to see on the lcd right away. Yeah, great video man. Looking forward to more of your shared behind the scenes.

      Thanks so much George! Yeah it's a great camera. The tint shift I imagine was just from the lenses but I haven't done any detailed testing on that. Both the XT3 and XH2S are great. Glad you found the video helpful :)

    • @glenis83
      @glenis83 Год назад

      @@blasepivovar Yeah, I have the XT3 and its been great. I've been debating trading in for the XH2S to have sort of a one camera all-arounder for photo and video. Personally the grip style on the XH2S works better for me. In your opinion, is the XH2S worth the trade in? Big factors for me are the open gate, IBIS and improved autofocus... and grip.

    • @blasepivovar
      @blasepivovar  Год назад +1

      @@glenis83 Get that. Totally would just depend on your needs for IBIS + AF. I don't personally need open gate or an improved grip, but the AF + IBIS has been great for the work where I am a one man band and needing to capture a lot on the fly.

Also attached to the end of the boom pole was the Movo VXR-10, which was run directly into the XT3 as a backup audio source (didn’t end up needing it in the edit). • @blasepivovar
      @blasepivovar  Год назад +2

      I would say the image from the XH2S using F-Log 2 is noticeably better than anything coming out of the XT3 due to the increased dynamic range. However the image shooting film simulations like classic chrome looks pretty similar. The main things I wanted when upgrading from my XT3 were IBIS, no record limits and F-Log 2 and I have been super happy with that decision.

    Your video is great but the problem with the video quality in 1080p is that there is a flickering all the time in the video. Some of the parts are grizzling. I cant describe it the right way because i cant speak very well in english. I hope you understand what i mean. And do you know the footage look like this? Because this would be a reason for me not to buy the camera 😢

    Hello from Turkey, Do you think I should use Fujifilm X-T5 or X-H2S for video shooting?

    • @blasepivovar
      @blasepivovar  Год назад

      Both are great cameras although I haven't really seen any XT5 footage yet but assume it will be great. Just depends on your needs and if you need anything that the XH2S offers. For video, I would personally consider a used XT4 vs the XH2S.

    What were your in-camera codec and noise reduction settings on the X-H2S?

    • @blasepivovar
      @blasepivovar  Год назад

      Yo! These were actually both shot in Classic Chrome with the contrast turned all the way down. Codec wise both cameras were shooting H.265, 200MBPS, Log Gop. The XH2S was in 4-2-2 and the XT3 was in 4-2-0. Hope that helps!

    • @blasepivovar
      @blasepivovar  Год назад

      I have not used the XH2 but imagine the overall image quality would be quite similar. However they definitely position the camera as stills first that can also capture video when it comes to overall features. What adapters did you use on the lenses and why aren’t you using any of the fantastic native lenses?

    • @blasepivovar
      @blasepivovar  Год назад

      I am using the Fringer EF-FX PRO ii on both lenses. Although native fuji lenses are really great I have really enjoyed this combo from Sigma as the focal ranges and apertures are perfect for my needs. I’ve owned EF glass even when I was on Sony and have just stuck with them. If Fuji had something comparable for a similar or cheaper price I would be interested.
