I was so blessed being able to se Van Halen original, Judas priest, Nazareth, Ozzy,Rush Pat Travers and many more. 80's90's rocker. What a beautiful life.
Nice to see the young generation listening to old classic rock. I was lucky to grow up during the 70's and the rock from the late 60's to mid 80's was kick ass.
I'll be 69 at the end of this year (2023) and oh man......hearing this again just did this ol' Tucson desert rat's soul SO MUCH GOOD. I saw Pat and this entire lineup do this live about this same time (early 80's...I'da been maybe 28 or 30)....sitting about 15 ft. away in this smoke-filled, whisky-swillin-rock'n'roll bar called "The Rock" (of course) and every tune was just as dangerous as this.....one after another after another after another. Ohhhh man.....those were the days. No political correctness, no pronoun bullshit, just a bunch of svelte, hot Tucson gals and boot 'n Wrangler wearin' fellow rockers just diggin' the scene and being at ease with each other. . So much fun. I swear to God I miss those days and those nights so much. Just proves that these old rock tunes can damn sure hold up over time....right??...'specially with balls this big! Thanks for lighting up my soul for a few minutes again! God Bless us all.....and God Bless America. jbeinarizona
PT is still rocking in a 3-piece band. Met him in St. Louis and what a super nice and gracious guy! Another legendary Canadian guitarist/vocalist like Frank Marino. You can easily do a couple months' worth of reaction videos with these two alone! I highly recommend adding a lot of their music to your library! And if I may, you should definitely react to "Heat in the Street".
You just hit the nail on the head perfectly. Pat was as and is kickass live as well. Between him and Pat Thrall on guitars you can't lose. Now you gotta do boom, boom out go the lights from his live album.
Pat thrall, and pat traveres on guitar, peter mars cowling on bass and Tommy Aldridge on drums. What a badass combo. Check out some songs of their heat in the street album. I saw them about 4 times in the 70s and 80s.
Just looked the drums is tommy Aldridge who played in black oak Arkansas, ozzy ,and white snake ,didn’t know he played with pat I grew up listening to this band
Yep, Tommy sure was in this band. That's him playing here, as best as my ear tells me. I saw him with Pat and Co. in Tucson in the 80's sometime. Then later I saw Pat again in Tucson with a drummer named Sandy. A good solid drummer.....but no Aldridge by any means.
Pat Thrall the other guitar player in the band once said after one night of partying and being hungover said he felt like he'd been snortin whiskey and drinking cocaine hence the song
Ya, Pat kinda went the way of the traveling guy in his RV by late eighties ...Just playing the small clubs, bars etc. I saw him at the Walrus Inn in KC around 90..I visited with him in the RV after the show. No groupies, no partying , it didn't seem. He was friendly but seemed depressed..The music biz can be ruthless. You're only as good as your last record, said BTO ..in Rock Is My Life.
O yes, a true guitar great from the 70's. Check out Heat in the Street, Makes no Difference, Makin' Magic, Freight Train amongst many others. Good point guys. Pat wasn't just a rock guitar god but his voice was awesome, and he's still rockin even today. A true great is Pat. I would like you guys to react next to the great Welsh band Budgie from the 70's. Try 'In the grip of a Tyrefitter's hand', 'Breadfan', 'Hot as a Docker's armpit', 'Nude disintegrating parachute woman', 'Napoleon Bona Part One and Part Two' , 'Parents', 'Guts' and many more.
This ain't hill billy music! Pat Travers can do it all. He's a blues man too. And always had a great band. Pat Thrall on guitar. Mars Cowling on bass. That's Tommy Aldridge on the drum kit. He has that distinct double bass style on the rolls. I saw Pat live back in those days and it was nothing short of ahead of it's time. His guitar tone and style says it all. PT's music is a diverse catalogue. Great stuff..
My broom guitar song is Emerald by Thin Lizzy….. studio version. Or I use a tennis racket, spouses arm or leg, mop, or just grab a handful of air & let’er rip 🎸🎸🔥🔥.
Well, if you can snort whiskey, and drink cocaine, then you can sing into a sponge. Lol! Fun review. I saw PT here in Phoenix, back in 1980 and 1981. Incredible concert.
Soul! That is missing from music today. These people felt that shit and played it to the heart! That is no longer the case in most modern music. They play well but that soul is not there anymore. You can feel the soul in this music. It is deep felt in the music. That is what is missing in modern music. Shred and complexity has replaced the deep feeling that was ROCK and ROLL.
Is this a JAM or what???? OR pots * pans drumming.... I visualize being on my feet, playing my air-guitar, and jamming away!!!! I have an artist and video I think you will enjoy. Are you two familiar with Edgar Winter? He could play multiple instruments. And sometimes he had a cape. I think you two would jam to Frankenstein... This video showcases Edgar's many skills
If you like this, you must do a reaction to UFO live ROCK BOTTOM. The guitar solo alone is one of the best ever recorded in rock history! Michael Schenker killed it live! This is considered one of the best guitar solos ever recorded! Do it! Do it now! It is very well known and you will get big hits for doing it.
Two guitars Pat Travers and Pat Thrall he's the one doing all the ripp'in leads!!! He said he thought he would be the next hot guitarist of the 80's until he saw Randy Rhoads! I'm paraphrasing!! he was blown away by RR!!
Snortin Whiskey & drinkin cocaine sounds hard core....... Well some people are hard-core party animals.... Go insane??? What could have caused that?? On a side note I read a story of when Clapton and the gang were making Layla a record big shot put a giant bag of coke on the table and walked out. BUT, come on guys none of these people did dope, right...... None of them..... Suzy you are thinking too hard on this one. Thank you two. Rock and Roll!!!
Snortin whiskey and drinking cocaine. It's a play on words. It's from back in the day when rock and roll was authentic. Yes it was gritty and tough. Not pussified. This is not Pearl jam and Nickelback kids. It's why your grandpa was so tough. And you're not.
Pat Travers is a Rock Guitar Legend. Best recognize.
That whole album is great. He was a lot of fun to see live!
You've got that right! Pat Travers was my very first concert w/Rainbow & Krokus opening (1981).
“Boom Boom, Out go the lights “. Super fun old rockin blues song he covers. Pat Travers Band was just so fun back in the day Straight atcha rock.
I randomly thought about this song recently. Such a cool song! Surprised people don't cover this one.
Killer band with Pat Thrall on guitar, Mars Cowling bass, and Tommy Aldridge on drums...from Ozzy fame among others...
I was so blessed being able to se Van Halen original, Judas priest, Nazareth, Ozzy,Rush Pat Travers and many more. 80's90's rocker. What a beautiful life.
I grew up in South Florida... I've seen Travers at least 20 times. Mars Cowling, Pat Thrall and Tommy Aldridge = Holy shit!
Nice to see the young generation listening to old classic rock. I was lucky to grow up during the 70's and the rock from the late 60's to mid 80's was kick ass.
Yes sir!! I lived it.
Travers is a GUITAR LEGEND that doesn't get the respect he deserves. Dude held himself up to the greats... Beck, Page, Vai, Trower....
holy cow..this takes me back! Love Pat Travers!
Play it loud and proud! Love this guy!
That little short bridge is SO HEAVY! This makes me drive fast : )
OMG!! I love Pat Travers
I'll be 69 at the end of this year (2023) and oh man......hearing this again just did this ol' Tucson desert rat's soul SO MUCH GOOD. Pat Travers is a BEAST !!
LOVE THAT DRUMMING
You just hit the nail on the head perfectly. Pat was as and is kickass live as well. Between him and Pat Thrall on guitars you can't lose. Now you gotta do boom, boom out go the lights from his live album.
That lineup. Seen them twice back then. Lethal. Aldridge, one of my favorite drummers.
Saw them back then when I was a kid, awesome times!!
Always loved this totally kick ass, intense, heavy, down and dirty jam!
Pat thrall, and pat traveres on guitar, peter mars cowling on bass and Tommy Aldridge on drums. What a badass combo. Check out some songs of their heat in the street album. I saw them about 4 times in the 70s and 80s.
I saw Pat Travers in 2000. He and I both grew older, but this song, Like Boom, Boom Out go the lights, are classics.
I love lifting to this. 65 and getting stronger every day. Be kind. Always. Enjoy the process. This is ROCK.
Broom guitar, mop bass, and sponge mic, best thing I heard this week!!!
Pat Travers rocks !
The first rock concert I went to was Pat Travers with Tommy Aldridge on drums opening for Foghat in Chicago 1980.
If you like this then you must check out "Boom boom out go the lights" It will send you over the cliff
Saw him last year. Magnificent!
Just looked the drums is tommy Aldridge who played in black oak Arkansas, ozzy ,and white snake ,didn’t know he played with pat I grew up listening to this band

My first and one of my favorite concerts . Two days after my 18th birthday when I was in an accident and broke ribs. 1978
Dayum! I love PT! Met him once back in ‘83.
Pat Thrall the other guitar player in the band once said after one night of partying and being hungover said he felt like he'd been snortin whiskey and drinking cocaine hence the song
mars ismy fave bass player
Boom Boom out go the lights LIVE. Travers and Thrall trade killer solos and the crowd participation is awesome.
All the crazy guitar work is by Pat thrall
The lead guitarist is Pat Thrall -- a monster player. Check him out on the 1976 AUTOMATIC MAN album ... otherworldy tone & licks!
a real Banger reminds me of 10 years after
That's how we rolled in 1980! 😁
hell yeah !!!!!!!!!

"Crash and Burn" LP...not a bad cut on it. Travers is an OG.
You need Life in London ... either the studio version of the one at Rockline Studiocam
Worcester, Mass, pronounced "Woostah" by the natives, '79 or '80 and Him and his band tore it up!
My broom guitar song is Emerald by Thin Lizzy….. studio version. Or I use a tennis racket, spouses arm or leg, mop, or just grab a handful of air & let’er rip 🎸🎸🔥🔥.
I saw smoke coming from the album the first time I played this song.
70's ROCK GOD STATUS
I like her English Noble Accent..your Magest
I saw them in 1979 with about 50,000 other people at a day On The Green
Heat in the Street is an awesome album by him
If you google episode of the show Fast and Loud…you can see Richard Rawlings snort vodka lol
Well, if you can snort whiskey, and drink cocaine, then you can sing into a sponge. Lol! Fun review. I saw PT here in Phoenix, back in 1980 and 1981. Incredible concert.
Making' Magic. End to end banger. Nicko McBrain on drums, Pete Cowling bass.
Check out their version of Crash and Burn!

WELCOME TO THE 80s!!!🤘🤘🤘
Pat Travers and Pat Thrall
Just to let you know, there is no southern twang needed for this song - Pat Travers is from Canada so it's Snortin' Whiskey eh!
Travers is singing and playing guitar
I call songs like this "Muscle Car" songs... Mississippi Queen is also in the same category
Is this a JAM or what???? OR pots * pans drumming.... I visualize being on my feet, playing my air-guitar, and jamming away!!!! I have an artist and video I think you will enjoy. Killer's Instinct is the best P.T. song ever...
AIR GTR material!

This is considered one of the best guitar solos ever recorded! Do it! Do it now! It is very well known and you will get big hits for doing it.
There has to be a story behind the song title
Two guitars Pat Travers and Pat Thrall he's the one doing all the ripp'in leads!!! He said he thought he would be the next hot guitarist of the 80's until he saw Randy Rhoads! I'm paraphrasing!! he was blown away by RR!!

Step back to his "Putting It Straight" release with the lead off cut "Life In London".
No, you'd finish cleaning in 20 seconds!
Broom guitaring and wooden spoon drumming
Try the toilet brush 😴😳😉😜
You two are looney tunes, it was the 70's and 80's you guys wouldn't understand lol 🤣 Best of times
These 2 are weirdos
Check out crash and burn
Snortin whiskey and drinking cocaine. It's a play on words. It's from back in the day when rock and roll was authentic. Yes it was gritty and tough. Not pussified. This is not Pearl jam and Nickelback kids. It's why your grandpa was so tough. And you're not.
