Just signed up for 2022! I was on the fence for a while, but this amazing documentary was the final straw to convince me to stop making excuses and just go for it. See you guys out there!
Baffled that this doesn’t have more views or recognition. This is everything I wanna see when covering an ultra. Super inspired and so far I’m only running 5ks. Bravo & thank you! 🙏🏼
I run 5 to 10k 4-5 times a week. That’s enough for me. But these guys inspire me so much. Encourages me to push my boundaries just that little bit. When I don’t feel like running, it tells me: just make the effort. When I want to stop a speed run it tells me: push on, you can do it ❤
Can you imagine having Courtney Dauwalter as your pacer? This race had some All-stars, both racing and participating peripherally. Beautiful race, makes me motivated to run that part of the country!
Really appreciate the video....very inspiring. From Singapore...Leonard..I've just came back from Flagstaff after Az ironman...now I've something to chew on for next project😂
A really good documentary! Sitting on my couch in freezing cold Europe, never been to the U.S. and yet absolutely getting the spirit of the event. The beautiful nature, the towns, the people, the motivation. Cocodona 250 might just have set foot in the back of my mind.
Ia rabbit your actual.lasr name? There are lots of Rambo surname families living in northeast part of Tennessee near johnson city area by the cherokee national forest plus living down by the smoky mountains National forest area down southeast of knoxville,tn.
Watched once, got all inspired and overdid it in the the mountains. Now I’m completely sore and my feet will never be the same again. You all are incredible beasts! As soon as I recover I’ll rewatch and repeat. 👍🏻
I love that it's so easy to root for these runners, whether the race leaders, middle of the pack, or back of the pack. They all seem like unique personalities in their own way, pushing themselves to the limit to achieve great things while still remaining humble and trying to find purpose and even enjoyment among all of that suffering.
A true gem of a running documentary! I watched this awesome inaugural Cocodona 250 race live from Europe for 4+ days. Big kudos & thanks to all runners and people involved.
After watching this video I believe that this race will become one of the most popular ultra races in the U.S. I'm surprised no one had thought of it before since it runs through so many scenic and historic sites.
Tuning into the live stream of this event back in May, watching all the way from Canada, was one of the most entertaining sport broadcasts I have ever experienced, many thanks to everyone involved, great to re-live it!
I was all set to go to sleep, and then I ran across this just being uploaded. Time to stay up a bit longer.... and still get infinitely more sleep than these amazing racers did.
Wow!! What a wonderfully inspirational video! Huge respect for Jamil who ran this “because he puts others through this” I love that! Great job to all the runners who ran any/all of this race 💪🏻🏃♀️
Amazing job! Aravaipa, you pulled it off and it was such a great win for our community. You brought such great coverage of Black Canyon and Cocodona! The course is amazing and hopefully, when I get the chance, I can experience this race as a participant. Keep up the amazing work!
Thank you for creating and sharing this well crafted video of a top-shelf event. What Peter Mortimer said right there at 34:53 "You definitely have to enjoy it." This is not about the pain-cave or suffer-fest. There will be highs and lows -- mostly highs -- it's all relative. Aravaipa is giving us the opportunity to take in 250+ miles of amazing Central Arizona trails and scenery with long sunny days, cool desert nights and loads of camaraderie with fellow runners/hikers, volunteers and pacers -- plus, the occasion to store away a raft of fantastic memories. I'm in for 2022 ... now to the planning and pouring over my retro notes from TC200. See y'all in May.
What a beautiful film, showcasing the stunning scenery of Arizona, and the ability and determination of all the runners. Bravo to all involved in the race and all the competitors.
I would love to be able to do this, but at 54 and the insane distance and elevation, I'll be lucky to qualify as a spectator! 😕 I hope this race grows tremendously over the years!
These guys make me wanna move to Arizona. I met a bunch of them this past weekend at Fat Ox and they’re all such good people. That has just stuck with me as much as my four million blisters.
Amazing route. Always surprises me how smooth trails in the US look, compared to what I'm used to in the UK. I think I'd struggle badly with the heat though!
Very nice!!! Definitely enjoyed watching the live coverage, the pre-race trail runs and this is like a cherry on top. Would have been nice to see winners specifically called out (at a minimum in the credits) along with a listing of all the finishers, might just add a minute to overall length.
Amazing course, video, and humans. This is now on my radar to participate in. Looks transformative and the terrain looks dreamlike to run. The music is very good in this doc, would you mind sharing the soundtrack?
Beautiful film, reminds me of why I love to run the trails in the high desert, but the story of Maggie is totally missed. Why?! Such a great part of the race story that is very sadly lost.

Hope to join you in this experience, friend!
@@michaelsallinger193 I really hope so too! Though I’m sure you’ll be way ahead of me the whole time 😂. Get that knee healed up dude!!
I can't wait to join, especially after getting work out of my schedule for freedom lol
LETS GO

I think this is the best ultra doc ever made. No jokes

Arizona is so beautiful!! I cried 😭. Some day in the near future I will be there!!!
The even more awesome thing about this video are the racers. Even the elites seem really down to earth and humble.
It won't take very long for this race to be one of the classics ultra running.

Jamil is such an amazing ambassador for this sport. Watching the livestream this year was EPIC. Probably the most fun I've ever had on youtube.

Thinking about it. I am a newbie and only have some half marathons and 2 full marathons on my feet. 😂
Awesome, absolutely awesome! Makes me want to increase my weekly mileage such that I can run ultras^^
Just signed up for the 2024 edition, in large part because of this film. - Finn
