The running, the story, amazing, all of it...But what really stuck out to me was the relationship between Eric and his wife!! I've seen so many other runners sort of blow off their partner at aid points, but even when he's hurting so bad he always gives her a hug and a kiss before taking off again. And she is so supportive. Just such a sweet part of this whole film
For perspective: I ran a marathon last year and trained for 16 weeks, ran just over 500 miles in that block. Eric ran half that distance in 3 1/2 days, unbelievable.
Marathon training a whole different ball game ultra running is a lot of slow running and jogging marathon training is fast running pushing your self to the limit
throughout this film, he talks about the empowerment you get from completing something that you originally thought was impossible. i had this experience after running the NYC marathon back in '18.. i had really been screwing up my life, drinking daily, doing drugs like coke and tina regularly, and changing jobs or getting fired every few months throughout my entire 20s before training for it. and i did very little training. the day of the race, i wasn't even sure if i could do it, but i had made it to NYC, and had some family and partner with me and i felt very strongly that i really didn't have a choice but to finish. around mile 23 when i new i was going to make it, i had that profound realization or epiphany i believe he is talking about, where you realize that anything is possible, and you really can do anything you set your mind to. its a very common saying, but it hits differently when you KNOW it to be a fact. it was a moment i desperately needed in my life, after countless failures, arrest, humiliation, etc. the Miami marathon this jan. will be my 6th marathon, and I have been attached to running ever since. i feel very blessed to have had this realization in my life, and hope everyone can experience something like this! if you are reading this and need a win for once in your life, get out side and start training!
I love the journey. Authentic friends that dont sugar coat it or blow smoke. Support, a kick up the bum when you need it and a hug when you feel broken. All part of the journey and an amazing wife.
Eric, wife, mom, and friends; you all are absolutely amazing people, and the relationships you have are wonderful! Eric, I have no words..... That was so incredibly impressive, and you remained so cool and caring the entire time. Dylan the film is beyond fantastic!
Eric's moustache, the shirt, the music and washed out colours of this film give it hints of a nostalgic past. I'm not a runner but enjoyed watching it.
Thank you! This film contains so much artistry, thoughtfulness and fine-tuned story-telling. It is exquisite. I can only imagine the amount of editing that went into this. Incredible job, Dylan Harris. And thank you to the one-of-a-kind Eric Senseman for allowing this journey to be shared. Beautiful.
Yeah... Watched this a few times now. The Cocadona 250 has truly captured my heart... The views... The stories... The journey... Love this story. Great work guys... All of you.
Amazing story, videography, and brings me to tears seeing others accomplish hard things. One day maybe for me… but how he explains that there’s something powerful in thinking … “I’m going to run ___ miles (or whatever distance it is), and making it happen, putting those two pieces together, is powerful”. That’s the stuff right there! Nothing pulls the heart strings more than seeing each finisher!! ❤
I am inspired. You are so blessed to have such a wonderful crew ...mom...wife...friends...pacers and the entire community. Love and respect from #Sikkim
What an amazing film! What an amazing athlete. What amazing support and how you just captured life, a dream, taking action, suffering and triumph. Beautifully captured.
Another incredible film Dyl! So many incredible humans were a part of this. I laughed (a lot), I cried (on par with my usual) and I left feeling so inspired to push myself and really enjoy this one life. And of course- Rob’s song added to all of the feels. Well done be all 👏🏽
Beautiful film of this incredible "category 1" adventure race/run/challenge! Congrats Eric & all Cocodona 250 participants! Eric had a top notch crew of family & friends, which makes taking on a challenge like this almost look desirable!
As someone who is planning my first 100 mile trail race next year these stories are inspiring and also very informative on some of the things that come up on these long runs . Thanks for sharing
You guys and girls, (long distance and endurance runners), truly fascinate and inspire me. I've walked 10 15 20 miles before out of necessity and had bloody feet, but being able to use your mind like this to push your body is the opposite of what I've been doing, which is using my body to please my mind. Really has been a change of perspective watching you do this and some other people doing similar things. We all overcome things in life, when we have to. But you are one of the small percentage that seeks out these things to show what you can overcome and that's truly fucking amazing to me.
I loved this film. You are a very funny and enlightened person...thankyou ..thankyou for letting us in on your experience ...i hope to make it from australia to cocodona in the next few years
I really appreciate the genuineness of who you are Eric. Props to your community/support team, who clearly love you bro. Way to find your perceived "limit" and push farther. Cool film, visually interesting, raw and visceral, and very encouraging!
Great video and I truly enjoyed this. My hat off to you for completing this and inspiring others at the same time. If you enjoyed this 250 miler, perhaps you should try the Montane Spine Race in Britain. It is challenging in a different way.
Such a beautiful film well done. You told a great story with a wonderful narrative. It will be one that I will have to go back to from time to time while training on the hamster wheel this winter in preparation for my first “long” of 41 miles.
Absolutely amazing story and one that will bring inspiration to my personal goals when things get tough. Thanks a million times over for sharing the journey!
What a great, inspirational video. Unbelievable… congrats Eric! I have my first ever 50k (first ever marathon actually) at the Pass Mountain 50k this November! 🙏
With tears in my eyes, this epic film is ending ❤ its Not about doing 250 Miles, its about going to places far beyond exhaustion and your own imagination what you think you are capable of. 🍀🍀🍀
Congratulations Eric!! So well done mate!! Congrats to the team too-what a beautiful story you told…still trying to get myself together😭 it would be wonderful if Rob Riccardo released that song!!!

This is what it's all about my friends...

Look up Todd Crandall. He’s got a similar story.
"It's just crazy what you can convince yourself of"
Damn straight.
I love the journey. Authentic friends that dont sugar coat it or blow smoke. Support, a kick up the bum when you need it and a hug when you feel broken. All part of the journey and an amazing wife.

Love this. Absolutely killer video and production and story telling... But we should re name it to
"Eric taking naps in different places "
It’s important that the celery and carrots stay together, guys.
Congrats, Eric. Feats of human strength
So well done. Congrats to Dylan on the amazing film and to Eric for enduring such an epic race.
Thanks Kevin!
“I can’t be held accountable for anything I say” incredible 😂

This was so wonderful. Glad to play a part, but wow what a journey of 250 miles. Unreal grit and determination.
❤️
Whewell. What an incredible name.
So good Dylan and Aravaipa 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 @ mr Riccardo, that song 🤯 Lyrics 💯
Jared is hilarious. I'll never forget this little clip of him referring to Eric's "Hamstring Injury"...
Great film, great content.

I LOVE ERIC SENSEMAN THIS IS AMAZING
Yes!
My favorite part was when Eric said "I made a category error." How true that must be.
Eric, so proud of you and to have met you. Nicely done and great film, Dylan
Just a huge congrats to everyone out there that got it done!
I'm not one to leave comments. But this was a fantastic film. Major props. The story telling, footage and folks involved were top notch. Many thanks.

Oorah! Congratzulations Mr.! Nicely done! Thank you for providing this to all of us! Much love from Finland.
Way to go Eric. Great film Dylan. Such an amazing and inspiring journey.
Let's get this to at least 1,000 views per mile that this well mustachioed man ran.
After all that, 250,000 views is the least we can do.
simply amazing! thank you for being so vulnerable and real. WOW!
This is absolutely bloody brilliant! One of the very best running films I have seen. What a guy! Hugely inspiring stuff. Thank you 👍
