Problem is many of these can be a problem with your connection as well..... Which can either be your or your ISP problem... For example Everything after the grounding block would be your problem and everything before your ISP problem... Poor quality splitters are a common source of problems..... They'll work sure but that lead to tons of connection issues..

The level of 'car salesmanship of this video' is obvious. The Modem might be old, but not because of the 'electronics' itself but of the Firmware which might not be up to the levels of latest communication improvements. The fact of 'changing' it every five years is most likely cause because the manufacturer does not upgrade the firmware. Common guys .. servers on Google are mostly between 5 and 20 years old.

Isp can overheat your modem. Monitor the temps, isp have been caught ! They dont like u using 3rd party modem and routers
Yep! Overheating modems are more common than people think. When you continue to get drop-outs a lot of the time your modem's too hot.
