You don't need Indian restaurant for chick pea masala instead a tea spoon oil in a pan, heat, a tea spoon of cumin seed, half can of tomato, drain a can of cp , wash and empty it into the pan, add crushed ginger garlic chilli powder, pepper powder turmeric, paprika and finally garam masala. I always enjoy listening to the conversations you have with Dr B. 😊 the nutritional bromance you guys share is great. I was thinking about the poundage of beans… being half Latina, I grew up eating a lot of beans and rice. We never ate out, mom always cooked them. So… if I had to guess as a child, I must have eaten roughly 40 to 50 lbs a year, as she cooked at least two different kinds of beans a week. As an adult, I didn’t always do right by my body, but in the last four years I’ve taken time to revert back to the way my parents raised me. I may not be quite at 40 lbs of legumes, but… now that you guys had this discussion, I’ll be keeping it in mind… if I cook just one pounder of beans a week… that’s 52 lbs consumed a year.😉 Based on how Dr B describes his eating habits, he has to be consuming upwards to 100 or more pounds a year of legumes. That would be my guess. 😊 Oh, and my favorite beans to consume….black beans, pinto beans, soy beans, lentils, split green peas, red chili beans, red seda beans, black eyed peas, field peas, purple hull peas, kidney beans, navy beans, Lima beans, garbanzo beans and I want to say Cajun spicy boiled peanuts. 😋 I may have missed a couple but all of these go in rotation for me through out the year.
