If t2 trans weren't so difficult for me to find under 1g, I'd already be on it lol. The getrag260 swap looks like a whole nother beast of problems based on Greg's channel. And yet that swap is 2-3x the cost of a rx7t2 swap. Whew. I'm hoping to stick with a mazda mx5 5spd or 6spd as long as possible at this point. Even if it means less torque down low, just be mindful of what clutch u use and keep torque controlled down low n taper up as the revs climb. Bcuz u figure with a ebc, you can set torque at 220ftlbs up to 5krpm then taper up maybe peak out at 230wtq using boost control at redline and ur over 300whp there and can maintain factory 5 or 6 speed. That's actually what I'm currently doing and my engine is still all stock internals. On e85 with a GT2554R. Bored out to 1.9l oversized pistons. Cheap dnj brand too. Knock on wood. I wanna get rods eventually and redo the bearings. N get arp main studs. But she's 12k miles so far :) N don't practice 1st gear launches or launch control lol. A lot of people are worried n get the gt2560r where as if i can make 300whp at redline on a 2554r with a 1.9l BP (altho on e85), there's no reason to need to go bigger. Cept if ur doing a roadcourse build for open track use then it will make sense to go slightly larger. Won't hurt. I just autocross mostly still. The e85 on conservitive timing helps a lot against detonation when running a small exhaust housing turbo like i am But in ur case where it's a drift car, it's totally understandable
I had to adjust my clutch pedal to make it work properly even with the to washer's. Now I'm ls swapping my miata I have a transmission swap for sale. Turbo rx7 transmission swap with adapter play and drive shaft for a 1000 bucks if anybody's intrested Buyer pays shipping.
@@FloridasFinest Not sure on what pressure plate are you using as well as throw out bearing, but If your using the the FM stage 2 you have to use one like this www.vividracing.com/act-throwout-bearings-19861992-mazda-rx7-turbo-act-p-150731838.html. in regards to the pedal miata spec is too loose I'd go with 1/4 inch of play.
Hey I just messaged you on instagram but I was wondering what adapter plate you are using. I'm trying to find one that would work with my car currently but im not having such a great time.
Dude this will for SURE be a HUGE help to someone. Good man!
Little tip is drill the threads out on the starter so you can just use a nut in a future.

Hey another question. Did you use the Rx7 throw out bearing?

Hauf Performance any details on adjusting the clutch pedal? Just keep trying until it shifts correctly

What clutch did you use?
What axles are you using? And did you have a shop modify the TII driveshaft or have a custom one built?
James Burke it’s a custom made drive shaft 3” dia. For turbo II trans and a Miata diff
James Burke stock mist torsen LSD axles
Thanks brotha
did you use the 1.8 clutch kit for miata
I did!
Can’t you just swap the bellhousings? I have one for my B2200 and was told the B2200 trans is same as Miata other than bellhousing
The Miata trans does not have a removable bell housing.
First here comment back
