You know what ...after Frank tries to convey common sense to all the young people in the audience ,he then goes home and puts the finishing touches to Thingfish. What a fabulous guy

It's fascinating to see a talk show aimed at kids that presents things to them as if they are actual real, thinking, human beings able to comprehended real issues and thoughts. Must have been a neat time to be alive.

Currently reading 'Earth to Moon', Moon Unit's autobiography about growing up in the Zappa family. It is quite brilliant, and shows the family was not a bed of roses.

I like how Frank talks to the little Black kid like he is talking to an adult. He elevates the child by not trying to dumb down what he's saying, he gives the kid credit for knowing what he's talking about. A whole lot of adults don't do that. Much respect.

It's what the best teachers do, academic or otherwise.
They are still kids so you frame things in a way they understand, but they are people trying understand the world, just like we all are.
I have a lot of problems with Zappa as I've grown out of hero worship and yet I still like to hear him talk.

Being a child of the Nickelodeon generation, my mind has been blown today finding on that Zappa was on nickeloden in the 80’s, AND THEY PLAYED “YOU ARE WHAT YOU IS”! My how things have changed, I could just imagine executives getting fired if that aired on that channel today and #cancelnickeloden trending 😂😂😂

And the lie about the family being a tight unit...Moon and Frank know that's not true but the official thing to do is to pretend that it was. It gets so awkward watching this, now that we know better.
