The proof that you really know what your doing after you have done some many swaps...is in the fact that you left the hood on the cab during the move.

Sometimes when shortening a frame, you should measure out where you want the wheels to fall inside the wheel openings. Not all vehicles have the wheel centered in the opening, especially old trucks which were commonly slapped on whatever frame was close. Mark out the centers of the wheel openings on the sheetmetal, then measure the wheelbase between the two marked centers to get your new overall wheelbase.

You know I was still reveling in the completion of the white Hot Rod and you drag the old Ford in and that huge frame and i was not sure i was ready. I get really tired watching you work so hard. Then the frame clean up was warming me up but when you dragged the old Ford body over i started to sit up and take notice. Then at then end you could really start to see and feel the project plan. Well you did it again, I am hooked. Will be watching every time you post, such a hard working guy. Thank You as always for a great new project. Dennis in Virginia

If it weren’t for Pablo and his keen eye for detail, heaven knows where this project would be. The old 51 Ford is looking pretty good for just being tossed onto the frame and sort of vise gripped in place. What I like about all the work you do is all of the finished cars, trucks pickups are drivers. Take em out for a rip, get em dirty, and hose em down….. the only way to enjoy what you build. No fancy garage queens at Half Vast customs.👍

Hey brother I found out a something neat about these square body s10. If you do a v8 conversion you can use a transmission cross member out of a rear wheel drive regal, cutlass, or gran prix and you can flip it upside down and will allow you to install most all gm transmissions. Direct bolt in without doing any cutting or welding. Just fyi. Great channel and can’t wait to see every episode. Keep up the good work.
