It is completely stupid to get that attached to a car that it would bring you to tears and my you go speechless but I am the EXACT same way! I cried like a little baby watching this and am proud to say I did! My dad was in tears the day a family friend agreed to trade my dads NICE hot rodded Model A for a project 1935 Chevy Coupe that belonged to my grandpa in the 60s. My dad finished the car and it was his pride and joy! My dad passed in 07 and the car sat in my garage for about 10 years because my mom had thought about selling it. On Thanksgiving day almost 7 years ago I told my mom that I was getting dads car back on the road. 3 friends helped me get it back on the road and would come over every weekend for months until we had the car back on the street! These friends became family to me during this process and after the car was done stood by my side as my wife left me. Had it not been because of this car, the friendship and bond that it made, I don't know how I would have gotten thru the lowest part of my life. This car and my friends saved me! So yes I am that stupid person crying over a car and will until I die. This was a truly beautiful story!
This is old school! This is exactly what friends back in the 60's, 70's and 80's did for each other. Current and future generations need to learn what true friendship is all about. Money can't buy special moments like this, it's from the heart. Another great video, Wes!
@@weseisenschenkslostmusclec9123 Hi Wes, my friend Joey is looking to find his red 1993 Cobra that he sold years ago and possibly purchase it back. I told him about your channel and FB page. I believe he's going to be reaching out to you. Is the 93 Cobra ok for the channel?
Man you couldn't drive down Washington Ave, below Broad street and not noticing the awesome site of Greg's iconic "Night Moves" Elcamino. Huge piece of South Philly's street car scene! Iyk, yk!
You're awesome, Wes, for doing what you do to get us back in touch with our memories. This guy has some true friends, which are hard to come by. Glad the Elco finally made it back home.
That was awesome the love of friendship that they all had to give the gift of buying his dads vehicle for him is priceless he will carry on there memory
Great video and congrats to Louis! He has great group of friends. Gotta admit it got me a bit choked up.... The car I would love to find would find would be my best friends 70 GTX 440 6bbl, airgrabber, 4 spd car, lemon twist with black top, interior, and stripes. He sold it to a guy from WA state that flew down to pick it up and drove it home back 89/90. I don't have a vin, just pictures of the car. My friend passed away from cancer back in 97 so the trail stops there. I'm always looking but with no luck, I even know the guy who he bought it from and he's been looking as well. I feel like it may have gone to Japan. I'd also love to find his parent 67 GT350 too, that one may be easier as I'm currently got some leads on it.
What a kool friggin' story and video!!! Lookin' for my first car, a black on black '67 GTO. I still have faith that someday, if it hasn't been totaled, I'll find it.
Great video. I got a Plymouth Cuda 1970. I would like to know the previous history. I also got the first ownera name and address… i shipped the car to my home country in Europe, Estonia. US is far away, it is difficult to me do find some information…
I had a 1970 Corvette in Cleveland Ohio I moved to Las Vegas my cousin came and got it from Cleveland Ohio and took it to Detroit he moved to Florida and and left the car in Detroit and I haven't seen it since

Exactly what the car hobby has always been about. I’d love to see it finished in tribute to his dad. Great story.

Smallest engine available for 68 El caminos was a 327, definitely not a factory 302 car.
