Dear Rob, Mido have just made a piece of Art for an overall best dive and dressy watch. The day date complication, titanium made with screw down crown, sapphire crystal with anti reflective coating and very good loom are what everybody is looking for a daily use watch for all ocasions. The Powermatic 80 just kills all competitors in this price range. I will be buying it very soon ISA. Many Thanks for the professional review and best regards from Egypt.

With Seiko prices increase, It seems that entry level Swatch group brands (Tissot, Certina, Hamilton and Mido) are the way to go. No misalignment, more consistent movements, better bracelets...

I have mine on an orange Mido rubber strap. Perfect for Florida.
I just bought this, and returned it. It is beautiful and light. My problem was at 62 my vision isn't perfect and the day/date at first glance looks like the hour hand. Also, it is really subdued, especially the bezel which I did not like. In the video close up it looks ok but I think a ceramic with orange numbers would have been perfect. Another thing I didn't like was how much the silver hands reflected light--don't care much for that...and the bezel is very difficult to turn. I returned it to Jomashop (where I buy most of my watches) but if the things I mentioned don't bother you, go for it. It is a beautiful watch.

It is VERY comfortable! I had been interested in this watch for awhile. I almost pulled the trigger on one when I tried it on in Puerto Rico last year. It was comfortable, has a clean dial and feels premium.
I have one and can confirm its ridiculously comfortable. Feels like part of your body.

I really love the handset, the hour and min are like seiko 6105 and the second hand is like the military seamasters very very nice.

Absolutely amazing watch for 6-7 hundred dollars it cannot be beat...i almost bought a seiko shogun thank god that watch was discontinued because this watch is better in every way and its way more aesthetically pleasing than the shogun and most other seiko divers

I found you can buy the bracelet for $168. It seems like a lot, but to me it’s the best feature of the watch.

I love the one with the inner rotating bezel that's only 11.75 millimeters thick. Perfect winter everyday watch cuz it's got everything you need inner rotating bezel,sapphire crystal, day, date, eta 2836 sweetie automatic movement and slides right under a long sleeve. I with more companies made watches like that.

Just got mine, perfect watch!
I was actually considering buying the Tissot Seastar 1000. But after seeing this, I changed my mind. The only thing wrong with it is that it has no display caseback. Otherwise, it would be perfect.
I have upgraded model of the Tissot SEASTAR 1000, T120.407.11.041.03 and have to say it's amazing watch.

That watch looks amazing. I think I would prefer a higher beat movement though rather than the super long power reserve. The orange looks great on it.

That's a great watch (and review), too big for me, but it's really cool.
The hands on this design look like they are for dress watches..but the bezel makes it look like a diver..
This and the steel seem to not be as available and the prices appear to have gone up ???? Meaning the Big discounts we saw when this Video was made. Joma Shop has very few Mido Dive watches.

Titanium? I like it, especially when it's coated, though. I don't think this watch has a DLC coating, sadly. And It's a bit larger than my ideal size of 40 mm. I guess I would choose the Mido Ocean Star Tribute Special Edition if I'd needed to choose a nice classy diver watch.

Rob I got the blue dial for my son , I have to be honest watch is just ok but the bracelet I absolute garbage there is about 15-20 mm play ,feels like hollow aluminum , just awful, really bad returned it next morning, not recommend ,not sure about titanium one

such a shame that they slowed down the movement to 3hz instead of 4hz. A swiss automatic that now sweeps like a Seiko. I can't care less about the 80 hour power reserve.
