To anyone watching, I can tell you this is an excellent recipe. I am so glad I found Elif's Kitchen. On my very first try I got a perfect candy! I have done a few variations since, and they all turn our just beautiful. I used raspberries and cashews and another that was orange and walnuts. I have more flavor combos I am looking forward to trying which is what makes this recipe especially great! It is so flexible. Orange and ginger are up next. I also use a candy thermometer. Elif is way more skilled than I am, lol. I don't know what 240F looks like. I heated the sugar syrup to 235F and the combined ingredients to 240F. The results are a great tasting candy that can last for a couple of weeks if stored in a plastic bag in the refrigerator. I will be making more to send as Christmas gifts. They are that pretty and that tasty. I have no doubt they will ship well and stay fresh tasting for a couple of weeks if refrigerated for most of that time.
Thank you, Elif. This was a generous share. You made a woman in the desert of the USA very happy! This recipe is perfection!
