JMR is so aware of this sort of thing, honestly another great character for the dota 2 scene. And I’m so glad they added Grubby into the mix. The scene is screaming out for these sort of characters to lead the light for Dota 2 with a positive mindset and a high enjoyment factor regardless of everything else going on! There is a vast pool of players with a similar mindset that just love the game and don’t enjoy when things get to heated. These guys exemplify what dota 2 should be striving for, enjoyment and love for the game

Probably best episode yet, in my opinion. I loved hearing the esports POV from Grubby and N0tail. They both had successful careers in their respective games but their story are different.

Gruby and MooN was the first names that i heard when i first discovered that War III had a competitive scene, this guy has a huge amount of experience for sure. I think this was the best time for Grubby to join. The game was dying in a way, lacking new players who are enthusiastic. If he were too early he'd just have been buried under other popular streamers. (if you're reading this grubby, always been a fan of yours though I was an undead player. Always great to study your replays against Fov to learn the matchup.)

I started playing like 9 months ago and one time i met notail in unranked. My bf obv carried me but i have to say it was rly fun to actually play against him and even kill him in lane on my favorite hero(pa). Specially after watching all the truesights a bunch of times. Also good to see that grubby enjoys dota. I recently went through all the newbie stuff and its so much fun.
The 1 hero segment was great, like the concept of low mmr players being specialists in certain heros is fascinating, as if every player can find their own niche even if theyre not pro level
I love the positive energy Grubby is spreading alongside his way. It's beautiful to see how many doors get opened when you walk your way like this. Very much needed in all areas.

Dota 2 is indeed a beautiful game and esport. People forget or maybe dont even know that the game was so well balanced at one point that there was a team, that in a single tournament, won with picking 81 out of 85 possible heroes to pick (auto bans for captains mode and enemy team's bans make the hero pool to 85 from 110-ish). Not only that, but they picked different line ups every single game, trying to never pick the same hero twice i think, only broke that "challenge" for the finals and repicked 2-3 heroes. They eventually won that tournament. The team was Virtus Pro 2017 roster i believe. Imagine that.

I hope this inspires people to be more positive and friendly in Dota. Dota being a complex game is very difficult for a newbie/casual to learn. How much more when you're a noob then get bombarded with constant toxicity coupled with occasional racism/sexism. Hope grubby will be the catalyst in inspiring the community to be more welcoming and less toxic.

The biggest blast is having him play with Ceb or Dendi, their interaction is so much fun.
