  • After spending more than 25 years disassembled in storage, John built this E-Type to drive long distances in comfort and style, with a few choice performance upgrades along the way. It's newly constructed light-alloy bonnet and many details pay homage to the lightweight E-Types of the '60s. The car is affectionately know as the "The Gray Goose" due it's being painted the factory color, Opalescent Silver Gray.

    Bravo! Early E-Types (as I understand it) are "sacred" among collectors and purists. I admire your courage to make such tasteful and functional modifications to an incredibly handsome car. That she made the trip across N. America w/o failure is a testament to the skills and craftsmanship put into her. Congratulations.

      Lovely car, but what you say about having a wide-angle head is not supported by what is shown in the video. I believe a wide-angle cylinder head would have a much bigger gap between the camshaft covers apparent over the timing chain area.
