Have a similar product to this and it never worked properly despite the manufacturer replacing parts and servicing it, I then replaced the bearings in the cam housing that engages the gears with sealed metal bearings, these were slightly larger than the plastic ones and there is no free play left in the system now so the gears engage properly, the machine now works as it should!
I have stretched the springs in the reverse mechanism when it starts to slip & not engage with the inner LHS wheel ring gear. I think the spring tension becomes minimal. They should probably review the type of spring in the design. Bad idea not to start the wheel threads by hand first, prevents a cross threaded bolt.
Replacing the left drive will resolve the issue. Part number : 360289 Also since it’s under a year old, you can contact Pentair directly and they should send out a warranty station to take care of it. The exception to that is if you purchased the vacuum online it only has a 60 day manufacturer warranty.
Did you ever resolve the spinning in circles issue with rebel? I have the exact same issue, and Service said all parts look fine. So not sure what to do.
It actually didn’t resolve the issue unfortunately I’m gonna try replacing the wheel next. I’m a pool tech and I bought at the supplier IE Superior Pool Products.
Any idea on why my turbine stop spinning? Have purchased a new valve regulator and upgraded the L and R drive kits. No clogging in any of the lines
Thanks bro perfect video! Love you man 👍

Awesome great job! Did you figure it out thru watching the video here?
@@snarkysharkypoolrepairs1887 what parts to order? I have the same problem in my vacuum. Thanks in advance.

I have a brand new one and the wheels do not budge like they are locked
Grab one wheel and force it to spin. Probably a tiny pebble lodged in between the gears.
I’ve got a rebel just spinning in circles. Should I just replace the drives? It’s under a year old

Just curious if left drive replacement fixed the issue ?

@@Micahguerero619 Oh man... that stinks... keep us updated if the wheel fixes the issue
I have a new lil rebel..and it just sits..
It is either two things:
There is something clogged in it OR
it doesn’t have enough suction and needs to be adjusted at the valving.
Had my a year and it already sucks. Ridiculous. Small fortune too
@@biglebowski3961 submit a warranty claim with Pentair and they should be able to send someone out to fix or replace it.
@@snarkysharkypoolrepairs1887 Already did, thanks.
Is it normal every year they wear out.
