THANK YOU! I’m 4B/C and this is helpful. I’ve been struggling. My mom started styling my hair regularly to keep it stretched and protected but I’m now realizing she doesn’t understand 4B/C hair and expects it to be super polished and straight 🙄. Started getting relaxers at an early age so she is unfamiliar with my hair type... Over-combing and over-manipulating to straighten it for the relaxer look has caused thinning sooo now I’m going to start styling myself.
Your videos are so helpful. My 3 yr old daughter has course 4c hair and I've been trying to figure out various techniques to maintain moisture and styles. Right now keeping it braided is working because she's very active and playful. She's extremely tender headed and I'm trying to identify products to help soften her strands when I detangle it. This was very helpful.
My hair is a frizzy fine 3c/4a but I appreciate all the information you have given for people with coarse 4C Hair. Some of your tips actually do help me believe it or not. So thank you!
I have thick 3c 4a hair. I am so not confident about it. I am one of the few blacks at my school and I sometimes hear students curse in Spanish about black people, thinking I cannot understand them. I feel shy to wear my hair out because I am afraid they will treat me different. How did you build this confidence with your hair?
Personally, I've had to battle that kind of negativity for a long time, and I feel that I may understand how you feel. I have 4c hair, and I hated the way it looked and felt too. Honestly these things some with time, and appreciating every kink and coil in your hair is the first step to combatting situations like these. Practice doing styles that you feel suit your face and your hair type, so that you feel pretty. Loving your hair is a journey, and that love can only come from within.
I would start by building my confidence. Telling myself I am beautiful, and that what others say isn't my business or problem. Those people who project negativity, behind closed doors, its about how they feel about themselves. It can be a cry for help as well. Focus on you, and tell yourself that you were made beautifully from head to toe! Then you can use Pinterest for style inspirations and even youtubers with your hair type as well. Start off with mini twists or regular sized twists and bun it up. It will come to you in time when it comes to the hair styles you want to try out. P.s. I have 4c hair mixed with so much types of different textures. I have found even 2c strands. But I never hated my hair, what people say has nothing to do with how I feel. If you can break out of the way society wants to mold you, honey, you will go FAR!!
@@jaliane Thank you! I know how to style my hair. Ive just been constantly told I dont have the hair to be worn out and hearing how some people talk about blacks, I just try to fit in more. But I will defintely work on this ❤ tysm
@@julialorence6795 your welcome! Since you got the styling part down, just focus on literally separating yourself from toxic people like that. Hair is hair. It comes in different textures and you shouldn't have to hide what you got. You are unique! Don't worry about those people. They will be alright.
Are you talking right now, cuz if you’re still going to school that’s concerning considering all that’s going on. My country has lots of people with kinky hair. So I never really felt unconfident in my texture, more of my length. I honestly just do whatever I want, if they give me backlash and make fun of me I just think to myself, the same ones making fun of my hair are usually the same ones stressing their hair in this right high ass bun, or using copious amounts of gel. I say to myself if they put so much thought to their education instead of what’s on my head, then I’ll be the one that’s intelligent and with a head of hair in the future and they’ll be the one without brains to along with their heads of hair.
Enjoyed this thanks. I have a problem with the crown of my head it's just so brittle and frizzy and breaks a lot doesn't seem to grow or hold in moisturise like the rest of my hair l have 4c hair too. Can you help with how l can manage this?? It's much shorter than the rest of my hair and l end up cutting it all the same length so it looks the same. HELP??? 🙏🙄🤔🤔❤
Hey girl you should check out green beauty on RUclips. She has a video on crown breakage. A lot of naturals have their problem including me and her video is very helpful
Make sure you use enough protein in your regimen it will make your hair stronger. Also i hope yoire using products with enough slip and good detangling tools. Also Diet, water and exercise is important
I have 4B hair mainly and mine do the same. Aphogee protein treatment every 6 weeks, no frequently will solve this. Also don’t comb if you can use your fingers and no small combs at all. Start at bottom, going up and with detangler.. I use pH balanced water, a little ACV and Cantu moisturizer. Also, your point of combing is to detangle for your hair type, not to be able to pull a comb thru.. That’s not the nature of our hair.
If you want to be able to manage your hair, try a protein straightener. Chemical free but strengthens and loosens for curl... It reverts back to normal curl after 3 months

You don't use Taliah Waajid products anymore?
Unpopular opinion: I hate the term coarse! Thick width is a much better term.
I literally learned nothing from this😑
... Maybe you know more than others
