So glad you're all loving our chefs try episode! 🧑🍳🫶 We have to admit Homam's did have the edge...👀
Wait a second, this looks familiar😛Petition for Buzzfeed to send me to the UK and compete against UK chefs
Omg yes!!!!!!
Would love to see this! We've already seen Tom on here, need to see more crossovers between the regulars!
This idea is from you guys
Yesss Ryan ur food is always the best
Yesssss!!! All buzzfeed chefs go to a destination competition!! Somewhere where the altitude is different for everybody!
I loved her personality and she wasn’t playing dirty which I loved. ❤
we love a humble queen
As an American I was shocked that his “Texas fried chicken” was a chikfila sandwich 🤣🤣🤣
I was sitting here thinking the same thing😂😂😂
Well, shocking
Why? It's white af
@@Some_No_Mai chik fil a is very basic and can be found all over the place. Real southern fried chicken is definitely not chikfila 💀 “white af” is a funny description. Most southerners take their fried chicken very seriously, whiter than paste but don’t play about that fried chicken
@@kandelynhurst9192 But you're thinking about it as a southerner. Chick-fil-A is a global brand that alot of white people southern or not love and frequent. Raised in a Southern family on home cooked fried chicken and places like Lees and Churchs not KFC. Chick-fil-A is trash.
“Slap my knee and call me Susan “ lmaooo
This was so fun to watch! Everyone was fair and polite! More of this plz
They all looked so good but I definitely need a French toast cube in my life! 🤤
you can find a similar recipe from Emma on our IG 💛 instagram.com/reel/ClgSgqdDbz0/
The Korean fried chicken was insane
I really like Emma!!! Her honesty, fairness, and peppy personality made this a fantastic video to watch!
I’d love seeing each chef make their favorite meal (or their SO’s favorite dish of theirs)
Oooo yes
Everyone's food looked tasty, and I appreciated that each chef was looking forward to enjoying the other recipes.
When I only saw salt and paprika (or cayenne) going into the flour, I was nervous for Liam, though.
Homam deciding not to dwell on the limp waffle fries (since they weren't a required component) was a *good example* to members of other panel groups who would be glad to knock off 2 or 3 points for a decorative sprig of parsley that wilted on the plate from the studio lights.
“Slap my knee & call me Susan” 😂
Lady made a sweet bunny chow... definitely South Africa inspired
Haibo, amanga 😫
😂😂
😂😂😂😂
100% creative too. Never thought about a sweet bunny chow we should start doing it
It's more likely that her inspiration comes from Japanese honey toast, since this one is actually sweet.
Chicken and waffles needs hot sauce with the syrup. I'm guessing that's what the French toast chicken was missing. That said, I'm gonna make that. 😁
Emma's personality is everything
The fact both of the chefs were making jokes on stealing the recipe 😂😂😂
I love this series from Buzzfeed Oz. But, need more participants!
This was so much fun! I will be back for my redemption 😂❤
I am ready for it lirim !!!! your burger was A+ ~ thank you for feeding me on this shoot too hahahah! 😂
All that good chicken in the South, and your butt settled for "representing" the 'States with Chick-Fil-A!?? 😂 Nah bro, what needs avenging is the U.S.'s reputation after that commercial sandwich you made (it looked tasty, but that is noT the way to go)!!
When he said his wife’s from Texas and he was going to recreate his favourite fried chicken i was eagerly anticipating some amazing independent fried chicken joint…. Not chick-fil-a! It’s great but honestly with 3000 stores it’s not what i’d call special
he didn't call it special though? He said it's his favorite.
@@thecunninlynguist ok but why hype up the texas link when chick fil a’s everywhere?
@@richwood1736 because theres no chick fila in the uk obviously
@@richwood1736 haha yeah I get your sentiment, but someone visiting the U.S. wouldn't really know that chick-fila is as common as mcdonalds to us and not representative of Texas style fried chicken specifically.
@@MrStevanJovetic yeah good point!
Out of every sub genre of video you guys make, chefs trying each- other’s cooking is by far my favorite. Informative and entertaining, what’s not to love?
OMG love this so much! we should do an Aussie Vs. UK chef showdown one day 🤔
Ryan is this you from the other account?
Nahhhhh ozy just way nicer
This was the first time my mouth watered for all of the dishes. I want to try them all
I'm from the South, and I can feel my grandmother's disapproval of UK fried chicken radiating from her grave in North Carolina.
Pretty sure fried chicken is made all over the world not just the south
@@alexg3911 im pretty sure it originated in the south tho
Love this channel everyone’s recipes sounded delicious 😋 and I just love how Emma is so positive!!!
Chilli maple might have been a good idea or chilli honey? For the last chef xx
i loved these three please give us more!
All the recipes looked delicious ❤
woah, that french toast cube looks insane!!!
you can find a similar one by Emma on our IG (with added chocolate)!! instagram.com/reel/ClgSgqdDbz0/
Emma's was amazing! Originality + taste
God damn....that bao burger is making me salivate!!!!!
Ive never seen korean fried chicken be put in a bao (bao is chinese) so its more of an asian fusion dish than a korean fried chicken dish. I would still totally eat it it looks delicious, i just want ppl to know its not exactly authentic and probably not something ull find in korean chicken restaurants unless theyre korean-chinese restaurants then maybe (which there are a lot of korean chinese restaurants)
What made me most surprised wasn't the food, but the fact that Buzzfeed UK has a Tasty division lmao
rude...hehehe
here’s to a fun new series for us here in buzzfeeduk! ~ what dishes / ingredients do you want to see next?!? 🍗
Fantastic edition, I love all the participants, they have great personalities
💛💛
Well, damn. The UK chefs are amazing. All of those dishes looked great.
💯%!!! Our chefs are AMAZING. I had to share their talents with the world on RUclips ~ you can find so much more of their work on their own IG’s and TastyUK too!
y thanks xx
This was lovely to watch 👌🏾
We want more of this👏
he should have made Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich... lol
EMMA! Wow that looked amazing.
wow, new to know that the popcorn chicken can be served with French toast and maple syrup! cannot imagine the taste but the video makes me wanna try it!
Good video, it was Emma for me energy and personality on 10 🙌🏾
High five to Emma's creation!!!
This is a fun challenge!! ❤❤❤
I'm going to need all three recipes, particularly Homan's and Emma's 😋
Bro I think... I THINK that girl wants to win ...
Could be wrong tho
The girl was so funny lmfao . Even though she really wanted to win she didn't play dirty . That is respectable
OMG I need to know how to make that French toast cube please…
!🙏
ofc the chik-fil-a style sandwich lost.. he didn't do it OG style with pickle juice brined chicken and there was way to much on that sandwich, it should just be toasted bun, pickles, chicken, chik-fil-a sauce.. also what is up with those wet ass waffle fries?! DOUBLE FRY YOUR FRIES!!
It’s actually a myth that Chik-Fil-A pickle brines their chicken. Confirmed by employees. Most people probably like the sandwich because it has a lot of sugar. Powdered sugar in the breading, a salt sugar brine, & the sauce is super calorific because of how much sugar is in it. I personally think it is way too sweet.
But I am a huge fan of pickle brines! Chicken in my house is rarely served without one.
loving Emma
loving this video!!
Homam, will you share you recipe for your chicken + the bao buns? Looked incredible!
@@xokayla8244 seconding this because they looked so good 😭
Double frying is the only way to go with Korean Fried Chicken…
amen
Lirims chicken sandwich looked so good 🤤
Saying my wife is from texas repeatedly and then bringing chickfila is from problematic 😂
Lirim's burger looks bangin' 😋😋😋
it was for real! Lirim has so many great recipes on his IG you should check him out and show some love 😊
Double-frying Korean fried chicken isn't a secret, that's how you make KFC 😂
I'd like to see a truE U.S. Southerner come on this show and humble that smug lil' Homam-preferably, someone's Creole grandma to put him in his place!!! 😄
Just to remind you, that I've been to Texas
They all did good
Texas recipes: BBQ, chicken fried steak or chicken fried chicken, king ranch casserole, white Verde Chile Chilli, tamales, enchiladas, street tacos
Only one of these I've seen where everyone plays fair
imagine winning and all the comments are about the person you beat 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The guy that spoke about his wife from Texas has an accent that kinda sound south african 😊🙈loved this vid btw
Am I the only one that was waiting for someone to fry drumsticks 🍗??😅
If someone said they made fried chicken and brought me any of these I would be pissed lol.
Chick-fil-A is from Georgia not Texas. Chick fila first restaurant was in West End Mall in Atlanta GA.
That man loves Texas and that’s hilarious to me
Where's Lirim from?
Can we talk about the fact homan knew who cooked which dish
The director always knows best 👀
Slap my knee and call me susan 😂😂
Slap my knee and call me Susan?? Am not from the UK so don’t know what that is about but loved it 😂
is there a recipie out there for the fried chicken in bao buns?
Oh, My wife's from Texas, and picks fried chicken from Atlanta
Too bad they rated Lirim on the fries. No telling how long they were sitting before they got to taste them.
Someone who understands! 🤝
so can they redo this video with actual fried chicken?
But they're all fried and it's all chicken 😂
@@xlucas15xx Fried chicken has bones.
@@mrbear1302 eh not necessarily

I missed the katsu Bao I had in Southern California
I need that french toast cube chicken thingamajig in my mouth! Stat!!
Yummy
i love the girl 😭😭
Except for the American cheese on the chicken sandwich, all three looked amazing.
The way the Black American culture infiltrates into all other cultures is hilarious: "Come on sauce, come thru sauce."
Are they actual chefs or just Buzzfeed staff
Where was his wife from?
It's not a burger. Its a sandwhich 😭🤣
I don't know about everyone else but in southern California I am absolutely sick of going to a fried chicken or wing place just to find out it's Korean Fried Chicken... Not that I dislike Korean fried chicken, it's just not the same as the Soul Food some of these places are imitating...
Man wish a poc was thrown in the mix
Emma is so contagiously positive
And we love, love, love that about her
Korean food always wins 🎉
Every last one of these dishes are needed by me POSTHASTE😤🔥
he keeps saying texas every other sentence make me wamma throw up
Texas
@@Gulasgrub shut up "my wifes from texas "limir
@@Gulasgrub your vocal fry is annoying
“My gfs from Texas”
…..
*Makes Chick-fil-A sandwhich*
They are eating boa with his finger sauce on it for fucks sake! 😂
This episode is going to never make me cook the same meal twice again. The variety!!!! Wowwwww!!!!
❤❤❤
I made Korean fried chicken…. Then proceeds to make bao…😂😂
chikfila?!? not cane's??
Homam could make his more Korean by using chicken thighs only. I ain't never seen no breast strip KFC, and I like next to Shin-Okubo (korea town in tokyo) Speaking of, Emma needs to become friends with Snow Chicken. It's basically korean fried chicken with powder sugar and powdered cheese coating it. You often order it in like a 4 thigh pack here with 2 snow chicken and 2 traditional kfc.
Ain’t no way 😭
Gosh I can't believe they used term "Bao Buns" 😂
why not
@Homam Ayaso Could be like when people say Chai tea. Since Chai means tea it's like saying tea twice. So I'm assuming saying bao buns = bun buns
@@BSkwizzle95 Yeah pretty much
That Chick fil’a sandwich would have turned out better off it you had mimicked the spicy, Popeyes chicken sandwich instead. It’s a better sandwich overall, if you add their honey to it.
The "experts" at Tasty? LOL! That's like asking Simon Whistler to educate you on, well, anything.
