The 3DS version of Resident Evil Revelations 1 make the PSVITA version of Revelations 2 look like the 3DS port of MGS 3D Compared to the MGS HD Collection on the PSVITA. What a mouthful!
I have it on the 3ds and the framerate is about 60 fps, but on the ps vita i think 20 fps lol
thunderbolther I mean it's not like RE:R1 was made ground up for the 3ds or anything... it's not like the Vita is running a port. It's not like Vita is running an ACTUAL PS4 GAME. Ohhhh wait...
RE:R2 is much bigger than RE:R1. I feel like you guys expect too much from a handheld. It's surprising that the Vita can even run this full game at playable frame rates. The frame rate dips are supposed to be compensated by the fact that you can play this game anywhere you want to. Portability trumps over performance here.

Do people not realize that revelations was built around the 3ds specs? Meaning Capcom went out of their way to actually build and optimize it for the 3ds from the ground up. That's why it looks and plays so good because it's a engine built FOR THE 3ds. The ps vita on the other hand just got a lazy port so it looks like shit and plays "okay". If the ps vita had the same development budget and time. It would look ten times better than the 3ds and play way smoother with steady frames IF it was built from the ground up based off of the Vitas hardware specifications. Sadly all Vita gets is a SUPER LAZY port with MINOR optimization almost like Capcom didn't even give a shit. Well the vita is still running the port of its console counter part so it says alot about what vita can do and handle.
Because ps vita games cost as much as a ps3 game to make. It's more profitable to make games on 3ds and not only that 3ds is selling really well. So it's a win win. To put it into perspective... Would you spend a couple of thousand and make back millions? Or spend millions and make back less then what you spent? 3ds games only cost a few thousand to make while ps vita games cost millions JUST TO MAKE. If it's not a hit they lose out on profits which then affect the economy not only that but overcharging memory cards and shit marketing. Almost like sony is doing it on purpose.

Hardware wise the ps vita has the potentially to have ps3 like visuals. But here their all asking for ACTUALLY PS3 GAMES and have the NERVE TO compare them. Like get fucking real man. I'm surprised that even even pushes out amazing visuals with the introduction of killzone or even the pseudo monster hunter games like toukiden and SD Delta. Sony literally gave you what you wanted from the beginning and now their saying it's not good enough? Like lol. Thanks a bunch for destroying the console with so much potential down the drain all because your too busy comparing games to other games. Is it really a surprise? With the way consumers act towards the vita? Is sony really all to blame? Sure I mean with ridiculously expensive memory cards and stuff and shit marketing. But it's mostly the consumers who don't seem to know what they fucking want. Sony didn't give up on it. They just don't know what we want.

Well,Revelations was designed for the 3DS and then it was ported to home consoles,Revelations 2 was designed for home consoles and then ported to PSVita(that's far weaker than any actual home console).
The pc version look's great more atmospheric with all the lighting effects.The 3ds one also looks great especially in 3d on the new 3ds.
The pc version look's awesome.
With a game like killzone mercenary runing on vita there is no excuse for this game to run an this fps, that's lazyness. IF YOU WANT TO PLAY THE GAME ON VITA DON T UPDATE THE GAME, IT RUN WORSE WITH 1.04

Is it true that resident evil revelations 2 on vita has been ported over by an indie developer it could explain the framerate problems.Capcom should of handled it and it would be great.
I am fine with the framerate but I did get glitch that slowed it down badly to where i had to restart a few times

Resident Evil Revelation came out on 3DS first and then got ported to home consoles but Resident Evil Revelation 2 came out on home consoles first then got ported to the Ps Vita.
