"The God of War Collection" was one of my first purchases for my PS TV. I have only played the PS2 versions, so my only complaint is that there's no vibration for the controller. I know why it doesn exist, it is just that I was so used to it with the PS2 versions.
I remember playing the first god of war on ps2 back when it came out and was soooo blown away. I was actually surprised they could squeeze so much out of the ps2 at the time since the console was entering it's twilight years.
I think that also the games from vanillaware like Dragons Crown and Odin Sphere could perform better on a home console, but having those games on the go with a proper handheld it's perfection (yeah, I dont think the switch is this portable). Waiting the third part already, or whatever ps vita video you want to create, man. You rock!
I will admit they do run a lot better on the consoles but for some reason I just enjoy them more on the handheld😁It just feels good to snuggle up with a portable game at the end of the day.

Great choices! In most ports I played the graphics "feel" just as good as on console. Since games are displayed on a much smaller screen, the differences in comparison aren't as noticeable, plus it has that awesome OLED screen. I actually prefer the characters graphics on the PS Vita version of Street Fighter x Tekken over the PS3 because it uses less shading.
Got the Vita Slim just recently. One of the first things I did after modding is, was adjusting the color_space_mode and it really makes a difference. In the beginning I even felt it to be a bit too saturated. I have the Uncharted Live Area theme currently and the background with the sunset/sunrise really popped. But it isn't really something you can capture. The video's online really don't do it justice. I'm glad I went for the Slim version. Still have to wait a bit before I'll have Street Figher x Tekken for it.
Got a Platinum trophy in God of War 2 on PS VITA. And I completed God of War 2 in Titan Mode and unlocked all of costumes, urns, and Arena of the Fates in Challenge of the Titans.
For GOW I simply overclocked.. and it's always 30> most of the time 45-60fps also I used grafix to get the native resolution... And the fps I've mentioned is for 544p
Agree, I can recommend using: VitaGrafix (up the resolution to native/max 960x544p) PSVshell (overclock CPU 444MHz/GPU 222MHz/BUS 222MHz) Game looks amazing, with insignificant heat gain, but... battery life, well, we can't have everything.
yea, i got SFXT for my vita last christmas its so suprisingly good i even hop on it again every now and then since theres nothing else to do it really does help with the boredom

my issue with the GoW collection is that if you're going for the plat, you cant put the vita in suspend mode, the trophies dont unlock until you close the game and open it again

Great video! I think the Vita was almost a victim of its own successes in terms of graphical comparisons. It manages to do so well that we are tempted to compare it to consoles that are 8 times its physical size that run Blu-ray games rather than the 3DS, which was its actual competitor as a cartridge-running portable. If you ever do a THIRD iteration of this series, a few more games I would recommend showcasing are "Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax", "BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend", "World of Final Fantasy", and "Shantae: Half-Genie Hero". I also watched a comparison between the Vita and Xbox 360 versions of "Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing" and was impressed at how well the Vita compared on everything but lighting effects.

Street fighter x teeken on vita is almost a perfect copy of its console counterpart but the same can't be said about ultimate marvel vs capcom 3 that game was a very crappy port

You're a champ. Still showing the vita support. I have a switch lite but I still play my vita for the games that are ONLY on it. But hopefully the next handheld from sony is as powerful or slightly more powerful than switch lite. Because the ports on switch are insanely good and I only really have ports for my lite.
You've probably heard this many times, but man, hacking the vita is like going to another dimension on ps vita, I played god of war 1 to it's last boss fight with FPS unlocked to 60 and native res and other than the cutscenes (which mind you, can be modded to ps3 quality), there were only a couple of places + the last fight with kratos' clones that the framerate got iffy, a lot fo the time my game ran at 40+ fps in busy fights and in more smaller places i could get almost locked 60fps gameplay with native resolution while overclocked, PS Vita is really an awesome console and it makes me think what could sony do with a ps vita 2 with modern hardware, IF they were to treat it good that is.
I played god of war on ppsspp on my phone and I kinda want to play it on ps vita but I have to get first all the trophies I have to get on the game I downloaded ,I love how you're loyal to the vita💕🤘🤜🤛
If it counts, I got the platinum trophy for Mercenary Kings on the PS Vita. It's an indie game, but it was ported from the PS4. I'll try to get the limited edition down the road.

I wonder how well GOW would run with a maxed CPU overclock via PSVshell. There's quite a few Vita games that take advantage of overclocking. Going from 444 mhz to 500 mhz should clear up nearly all performance issues. I can't see GOW (a PS2 game) stressing the GPU.
FFX/X-2 just goes to show why Sony should have filled the Vita with more PS2's (the greatest selling console of all time) catalog. It could have handled most if not all of the games.
The issue with the God of War Collection on Vita is the trophies are bugged. Other than that? It's great. But honestly, how little can you care about one of your greatest franchises on the PlayStation 2 that you do not make sure that trophies work properly?
@@SuperJumpReviews I don't even remember for sure, I finished the games regardless and moved on. I think if you exited the application then went back into it, the game would just straight up no longer track activity towards trophies, or I don't know, they do not trigger.

Did Final Fantasy X needs to download extra data on Vita? Or is fully on the catridge? I ask you because i have Vita and Switch, i only have World of Final Fantasy on my Vita, it's a pretty good game.
Well, to be specific, Final Fantasy X-HD is on the cartridge, FF X-2 (the game mentioned in this video must be downloaded). Originally when you bought the game, it came with a cartridge which included FFX-HD and a download voucher for FF X-2. If you want FF X-2 on a cartridge you'll have to buy an import version which I think has English subtitles. Hope that helps.
The god of wars play really good. If anyone has FPS issues I highly recommend hacking the vita and getting the overclock plugin... works wonders. Sly cooper thieves in time and god of war run good

All these frame drops and stuff is easily fixed with overclocking the vita, replayed my fav games with vita overclocked and what a difference, keeps a constant frame rate and smooth beautiful performance 😩🙏🏼

I always wished they would make a dark cloud 1 and 2 collection for vita. I really enjoyed the ps2 collections even if some like jak 1 had severe lag.

I actually prefer the look of Street Fighter X Tekken on the Ps Vita as I find the ps3's cel shaded graphics to look too childish in my opinion.
I don't mind the look on ps vita. I just wish they had toned down the color saturation a little bit. It looks a little blown out on my OLED.

FFX/X-2 just goes to show why Sony should have filled the Vita with more PS2's (the greatest selling console of all time) catalog. It could have handled most if not all of the games.
The issue with the God of War Collection on Vita is the trophies are bugged. Other than that? It's great. But honestly, how little can you care about one of your greatest franchises on the PlayStation 2 that you do not make sure that trophies work properly?
I have heard issues about the trophy thing. What kind of bug is it?
@@SuperJumpReviews I don't even remember for sure, I finished the games regardless and moved on. I think if you exited the application then went back into it, the game would just straight up no longer track activity towards trophies, or I don't know, they do not trigger.

I think the problem with gow on Vita is that the frame rate is worse than the PS2 version.

Did Final Fantasy X needs to download extra data on Vita? Or is fully on the catridge?
I ask you because i have Vita and Switch, i only have World of Final Fantasy on my Vita, it's a pretty good game.
Well, to be specific, Final Fantasy X-HD is on the cartridge, FF X-2 (the game mentioned in this video must be downloaded). Originally when you bought the game, it came with a cartridge which included FFX-HD and a download voucher for FF X-2. If you want FF X-2 on a cartridge you'll have to buy an import version which I think has English subtitles. Hope that helps.
The god of wars play really good. If anyone has FPS issues I highly recommend hacking the vita and getting the overclock plugin... works wonders. Sly cooper thieves in time and god of war run good

Switch is just like the Vita: less power than gaming PC but most games could easily run on it with few sacrifices.

@@SuperJumpReviews Multiplatfform that have a Vita version I don't pick for Switch because Vita is way lighter, more comfortable to play. Steamworld Dig 2 for example is identical to the home console versions, no losses.

All these frame drops and stuff is easily fixed with overclocking the vita, replayed my fav games with vita overclocked and what a difference, keeps a constant frame rate and smooth beautiful performance 😩🙏🏼
But draws more battery and use more processor than make vita shorter lifetime
Those touch controls in Rayman Legends were super annoying.
Putting touch controls in platformers is just terrible in general.
