I can see why Don vocals went down. Smoking ruins most vocalists. I always liked dokken and the Don dokken era. I hope you get to feeling better Don i know about some of your health issues and its gotta be hard.
I feel terribly bad for Don's health problems (I have my own) but once he said 'Right Wing' I lost a tiny bit of respect as anyone who is Conservative is labeled Right Wing today and I've never harmed a soul except in self defense! Great interview overall though! 👍

The Denver shooter identified as trans. The Aberdeen shooter identified as trans. The Nashville shooter identified as trans please stop with "the right wing" BS
Not to belittle the health issues of Don, but this is what you get when you go visit Granddad, a litany of all his health issues. He has all these pictures to prove he and his friends are totally breaking down. Not sure what is worse? This or idiots like Motley Crue pretending to be 24 year olds still. I do like his stories about Lemmy
WAIT DON ISNT SINGLE ANYMORE?!?! I WAS GUNNA MAKE A JOKE TO HIM MEXT WEEK AND SAY MY BF JUST BROKE UP WITH ME LAST WEEK WANNA TAKE HIS PLACE! As a joke BUT I DIDNT KNOW HES NOT SINGLE ANYMORE WTF 😢
I grew up listening to Dokken. One of my favorite bands from the 80s. Yeah big mystery to why they never headlined? Don had that golden voice. Unfortunately he should of stopped playing live a while ago. I seen him a few years ago. Don was cooked. Doesn’t even come close to sounding like he used to. He was basically talking the vocals. Jon Levin stole the show. It would of actually been better if they just performed all the songs as instrumentals that night. I get it he’s older now. Some guys can still belt it out close to the originals. Mike Reno, Hagar, to name a few
Both conservative and liberal policies are controversial depending on what side of the coin you call. Some fence sitters complain because it doesn’t matter who calls the shots…they won’t advocate them. You just can’t please everyone . Don is right to point out how things have changed significantly in just forty years.
Now that I see Don talking about avoiding the drugs, I can understand why the other guys in the band talked shit about him. Druggies don't trust clean people, and Druggies overstep bounds that piss off normal people.
First Dokken concert 1985 Providence Civic center...back to back nights opening for Aerosmith... Dokken destroyed them!! Have seen them every Rhode island trip since!!!
Always loved DOKKEN, but he shouldn't bash POISON. Their all still together and doing their thing. Hate when bands/singers who have an ego, bash bands because of their style of music.
Poison had their fans, for sure. But ...as Ronnie James Dio said....they did a lot of damage to the Heavy Metal genre......because every metal band got lumped into the same category as them.
@@shannonhenson609 So just like Dokken, Dio thought they were better than Poison. I like all the bands and I don't know how it " hurt" them ( dio) , it was their ego that was hurt. Megadeath still going strong, metallica still going strong. Did was always mediocre but still an good band but wanted to blame bands that were fresh with catchy songs and flashy stage set up. Where are the " Hair bands" today? yeah their still hanging on but a new era moved in.

I agree especially since the last few mass shooters in the US have identify as Trans, and are anything but right wing. facts The Colorado Springs shooter identified as non binary.
The Denver shooter identified as trans.
The Aberdeen shooter identified as trans.
The Nashville shooter identified as trans please stop with "the right wing" BS
@@Moviesrockmusicandmore As a former Democrat of 30 years, I assure you, it's not both sides tearing the country apart.
Aghh, why is he smoking? It's a shame what happened to him. Kudos for still going out there rocking.
Legend!
@26:45 - "These right wing crazy people.."
Correction: Left wing
Don...you did too tour with poison, i went to see you guys with them.I believe it was 2002.
Billy Corgan recently ranked Dokken as one of the 11th Greatest Heavy-Metal Bands
#6 is pretty good in the group.
They are not right-wing people killing children don. Love your music, but get educated before you make a comment like that.
Totally agree... pissed me off when he said that, misinformed/lazy, get's his info from the easiest sources I guess, MSM... Master, Master!
WAIT DON ISNT SINGLE ANYMORE?!?! I WAS GUNNA MAKE A JOKE TO HIM MEXT WEEK AND SAY MY BF JUST BROKE UP WITH ME LAST WEEK WANNA TAKE HIS PLACE! As a joke BUT I DIDNT KNOW HES NOT SINGLE ANYMORE WTF 😢
Hes really managed to keep his personal life quiet, he never hardly mentions her or ever anyone in his life, I mean damn who wouldn't want him ❤
And I think the fans are super curious more about that than music stuff cause every interview is the same stories 🤔
@@StaceyValente hell I know I do, I have for YEARS
I grew up listening to Dokken.
Wash dishes? Make the bed? I have two perfectly good arms and I don’t do any of that, LOL!
Both conservative and liberal policies are controversial depending on what side of the coin you call.
Some fence sitters complain because it doesn’t matter who calls the shots…they won’t advocate them.
You just can’t please everyone .
Don is right to point out how things have changed significantly in just forty years.
After all these YEARS, he's the hottest singer still. Hot damn!!
Too High to Fly is my fave
Ok Dokken como foi gravar com Michael Schenker .Gosto muito do seu trabalho acho uma super banda músicas muito legais um forte abraço ❤❤❤
Now that I see Don talking about avoiding the drugs, I can understand why the other guys in the band talked shit about him. Druggies don't trust clean people, and Druggies overstep bounds that piss off normal people.
Sounds like he had a mild stroke and keeping it the DL, I did and all that shit happened to me, just over 2 years ago.
Fucked up …don…keep The faith…bring on The new record👍🤟🙏
First Dokken concert 1985 Providence Civic center...back to back nights opening for Aerosmith... Dokken destroyed them!!
Have seen them every Rhode island trip since!!!
Dokken is a staple of great bands from the 80s BUT I wish him well with his sickness of TDS.
Don , I ❤you 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
I'm sure his family will buy it. Just sayin
Did was always mediocre but still an good band
but wanted to blame bands that were fresh with catchy songs and flashy stage set up. Where are the " Hair bands" today? yeah their still hanging on but a new era moved in.
I wonder if Jason Becker could help; cause he wrote an album w/ A.L.S.? Hmm... .
Glad to here you were smart to stay the freaking drugs. You and I would would have been good friends. Thanks for all the great rock.all these years hope you get better
still smoking...uuuuugh gets me pissed...not 25 anymore and your voice is shot, but ya still smoke I dont get it. was an Idol of mine back in the day.
Yeahh love don...but smoking after the cáncer it just too much...
Good singer
Don’t forget t
You opened for Aerosmith
Metallica stayed together, so did KISS, Bon Jovi - albeit Sambora gone, and he just as important and Jon. The breakups did Dokken in
Dang smoking cigs at 70 lol
Smoke em if you got em
