I don't find the game stale since I'm a part of a community and we have lots of fun testing out skills The reality is that people don't challenge themselves

I don't know how people hate on the dev team so much. Hearing Mathieu Cote speak about Dead By Daylight he does really care about what steps they take and the game is a labour of love not just for horror but for it being such a huge success and it bringing a community of people together. Not every action is just simply thrown out there. The are things considered. I really hope Dead By Daylight grows into a much bigger franchise. The places they take the realm of The Entity is very exciting to think about.
its easy to hate on something you don't understand ask half the people hating on the dbd dev team if they know how to code they'll say no which is sad because the dev team really does dedicate their life to this game and i see the passion they put into it but they only get criticized
@PUFB the past is the past, people really need to move forward and give credit when it’s due, this year has been a good one for DBD. Some of us just trust the process, are patient, and prefer not to resort to ignorant foul mouthed criticism.💯🤷🏽♂️

I love these annual q&a vids but one thing always saddens me. I love Chucky so much and when he says "it's a bit too silly" and proceeds to talk about attack on titan and saying these crazy ideas just might work and I'm like 👁️👄👁️
Because it'd be super hard to implement him mechanically, AOT is literally just skins. No where near as silly as a baby sized doll carrying a full human.
@@ByAzuraByAzuraByAzura First of all, Chucky has supernatural strength. Second if all it would take a little extra work animation wise but it's not impossible. Just have the Carry animation be Chucky dragging the survivor and have the hook animation being them hoisted up by a chain. It would be challenging sure but I'd rather them out in the extra work and make a good chapter

You think a child’s toy cursed and possessed by a murderer is less silly than a singer, with extreme wealth, power and influence, who kills people..? I dunno, can’t agree with that opinion tbh. There’s been plenty of real life instances where powerful people commit crimes, none of murder dolls. But regardless this isn’t about game tone. It’s about the mechanics. Chucky is very silly from a MECHANICAL perspective which is obviously what Matthew is referring to. I’m sure there’s a way to do it but it’d be the most complicated Killer and realistically what would the pay-off be for a Killer that could end up very divisive?

They've said multiple times they want a "Horror hall of Fame" and the fact that when they mention iconic horror characters Chucky pops up alot is a huge calling card so the payoff would be huge, Expessially concidering how large a fanbase Chucky has grown. But the main problems are animations and I have a solution for every one. Vault? Stabs the window and jumps over it. Perspective? It would actually be slightly taller than victor concidering Chucky is the size of a 6 year old kid. Locker search he could open it with his knife and stab the survivors leg to drag them. Carry? He drags the survivor along the ground. Wiggle? Grasping into the ground trying to get away. Hook? The hook could be lowered via chain and reeled upwards. And it's not too much to say it's impossible to change animations because look at victor, Pinhead, sadako, ect.
Idk why mat always avoids the questions that have to do with future stuff by either saying I can't say go ask someone else makes a joke about it or straight up disregards it and changes the topic examples being basement changes stranger things chucky and gamemodes

The more and more they say Last Year it reminds me of the sad situation of the game: Last Year The Nightmare which who knows maybe it will come back because of the devs recently made nighthunt which honestly looks like a teaser so who knows maybe dbd might get a competitor or a friendly game franchise to make deals with
lol the maps discussion and cote talkin about killer variety made me laugh so many times i run into the same killer in 3 or 4 matches and i usually play 5 or 6 a night when i get a chance
Nice job boys. The Halloween event looks great as well. I'll be honest I miss the event where they lowered the cost of the blighted skins to 3000 shards a piece or 9000 for the whole set. It made me want to play so much more to grind for the cosmetics.

I’m just as upset as you are believe me, I am obsessed with Chucky but what’s cringe about The Oni and Pyramid Head? Pyramid Head is a true horror classic, he’s very intimidating in my opinion.

This is amazing. I have a question. May be silly but like the zombies. Can we get Bears in the Forrest map, Alligators in the Swamp map and maybe a snake or 2 on the Farm? O'an while on silly questions. Can we get middle finger emotes for both killer and survivor? It would really be amazing 😉 Really though a item "buy back" like the things im forced to buy in the bloodweb that I never use. I have thousands of them and if I could off load them for a few bloodpoints that would be helpful. Anyway amazing interview guys! 👏 👏

Because of legal reasons and not having permission from the higher ups, CLEARLY.
Because it obviously means it's coming or they're working on it. So there's hope a new game mode is coming eventually.
