I heard that the person to came up with the gif called it jif. So, that's what I chose to do. But, if the G strands for Graphics then GIF would make more sense. It's not Giraffics.

why is there a woke bias with Gifs?

Because the apps that utilize gifs as a native function are owned by woke companies that control the uploads of gifs for public use. For example, if you want a certain gif making fun of a protected class (erhem erhem), it will not be available in the search bar. Search for a gif making fun of the currently approved “mean mean bad guys” then it will show up.
