I’m definitely more satisfied with the second test of this product!
Which one out of 4 canvases do you like the most?🤩
My favourite is Dutch pour! Absolutely love it! Thanks for such a thorough review! ❤️
@@alexsoby7892 thank you so much! I really appreciate it
I love both the Dutch pours, but I like the smaller one the most. While it is whispy on the ends, something about the thicker colors draw me in...
You have probably been asked this a lot, but do you sell your paintings? #INeedThisInMyLife lol
*edited because phone keyboards are the worst :)
@@silveremeralds thank you! And you are right, there is definitely something about it! I do sell my painting, feel free to message me on my page facebook.com/olga.soby.art/ 😉 #LetsBringThisToYourLife lol
I love all 4 of them but the kiss pour and flip cup are the top 2,💗
I could watch you all day. Such a beautiful personality. Thank you for adding a little sunshine to our day
wow thank you so much, Joanne! this means a lot to me 💗
Medium FIRST, then paint. That’s brilliant AF. Thank you!
Agree, super useful tip!👌
Even Jupiter has a big red spot, so you have a beautiful blue spot! Love your experiments I always learn so much! Love all 4!💕🏜
Oh I was so upset for you when that canvas fell. You recovered perfectly. I’m so glad you do these I learn so much.
thank you! I hate when things like this happen especially when I record a big video like this one. But this is life... "what doesn't kill the pour - makes it stronger"?😆
Thank you for continuing to do these tests. There is always more to learn. Life would be boring if there wasn't!
Thank you...love the 2nd Dutch pour💜
Thank you so much for sharing your experiments! It's truly helpful!
Thank you for all you experiments
They are all beautiful! Thank-you!
Wow, they are all great! I cannot even choose a favorite, I live them all! 😃
Olga, you are so nice and pleasant to listen to, and your work is always beautiful! 🌹
ALL OF THEM ARE BEAUTIFUL..
I am just so amazed at how you can create so many wonderful pieces! I am glad you kept the falling canvas in the video! We all make mistakes and you rescued it famously! I hope to be so good with this one day! I am very glad that you included the dry canvases at the end of the video! You are truly amazing and we appreciate your experimentation with mixtures, thank you!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate your feedback!
🤩🤩🤩 all are beautiful ! Your video(s) is (are) very helpfull ! Thank you !
All the paintings came out beautiful, even the one you dropped. Thank you for doing these tests on the pouring mediums. It is very helpful.
Loved the way you broke everything down to show all of us!!! I really love watching your channel learn so many different things and that’s what art is about if you don’t experiment you will never know . Keep them coming thanks so much lisa O by the way they all were beautiful!!! Thanks again Lisa
They all turned out really nice
All 4 nice. The 2 with white, really nice.
I love the 4...but more last one ❤
They're all beautiful in their own way, I adore the little drop on the paint kiss. Great work as always, love your experiments. And good on you for keeping going after the kiss drop!
I'm just getting into paint pouring, but your channel has so many helpful hints and tips~
Excellent video., thank you, your information is incredibly helpful!
They all look beautiful. 🙂👍
Omg you are the cutest thing in the world! Thanks for the video!!
Definitely loved your first painting so beautiful!!
Thank you for sharing your experiment! I learned alot tooo🤗 they are all Beautiful! Peace and Love Always, Lorri 💜💙💚💛🧡❤
I enjoy your pours so much.. really beautiful! I'm glad you had better results with the DecoArt medium. Thanks for sharing ❤
I love your videos! The space between the window frame and the shelf rack on the left triggers my ocd
The two Dutch pours are lovely, especially the second one, it's beautiful. A really interesting comparison. I love your tests, they're really interesting to watch.
Really like the experiments.
Здорово! Поднимает настроение!
Colors are beautiful! Nice job on all pours!
All beautiful.
Amazing Beautiful Person, Olga, Thank U💕☮️
You are so welcome, Jorge!!😊
I love that you didn't edit out dropping the canvas. I'm naturally a klutz and I'm addicted to paint pouring. So I spill tip, drop and splatter paint everywhere! It is reassuring that you, a brilliant artist sometimes fumbles and still creates such breathtaking painting's, maybe there's hope for me. So thanks for that.....sorry, I kinda chuckled when it happened...the look on your face was priceless!😄♥️
Hi, Olga. I love watching you. You're a "friend in my head". (Alert...super long comment, but for good reason.) All of these came out beautifully for each of their own reasons. I don't think I can pick a favorite! When your canvas dropped, I felt bad & like when stuff like that happens to me. Thanks for being REAL! I still consider myself learning & am trying to make cells. I'm financially strapped in the worst way due to severe health problems. So far I don't have a torch (I know there are some cheap ones even on Amazon...all my supplies are adding up on me, & I already have a lot of supplies from other painting adventures...which is the good part about it). I just got some silicone oil to see if that will help me develop cells. I had tried Apple Barrel pouring Medium from Walmart (taking a risk) which produced no cells..even used WD40 Silicone spray I had laying around the house put of desperation, which sort of made small ones. Now I'm going to do a different test, with Royal Langnickel Essentials pouring medium (was a little more expensive, & for the cost of both I could've almost had some Floetrol), water, silicone drops, but one test at a time. I've even tried rubbing alcohol before...what experiments work for others don't always work for yourself, for some reason. I am still trying to feel it out, regarding consistency & cell action. I heard about the wonders of Elmer's Glue-All (I believe) or PVA glue with water but am dreading that hot mess...if it comes down to it, then I will have to try.
Right now, I'm almost thinking I may not ever see the results I really want/need to see unless I have 1:Floetrol (despite some water dutch pours I've seen that miraculously produced cells); and 2:) a torch.
Those 2 tools seem to be crucial, even though this has a lot to do with mixture consistency & individual paint densities, even within hues, etc.
If you were me, would a torch and some Floetrol really help me out right now? Or am I able to produce cells with what I already have? I noticed that the cells & bubbles popping after a torch goes over them...that is a very special look that you probably can't get those little speckles without it. I've been watching as many of your and others' videos as much as possible to learn, but I'm a bit limited financially & trying to choose what to risk spending on & trying to decide the most important tools for the results. You should see the makeshift plastic that I put over my bed to make a "work area"...it's quite silly, but I'm determined! (I have 2 cats, so nothing is safe lol.)
I am hoping you can answer some of the "mystery" questions I have. Thank you for your time. I appreciate all your help. And thank you for some inspiration through a very dark time in my life. 💜✌
that mark you are now calling a planet looks like the mark when you dried canvas and your thumb grabbed it.
thank you for sharing
thank you! Gonna consider that mark as a special signature 😀
Thanks Olga. These trial and error videos are very helpful. I will give this combination a shot... but may skip the dropping bit. (grin)
Very informative! I’m into cells lately so that would be my favorite! But I’m a Gemini so that might change before I leave your channel 😊 yeah it did, I like them all! Very nicely done! Even the slip of the canvas tells me that I’m not the only one that does that! But, you did it with style!🥰💐🎨
Priscilla Batzell of Expressionist Art Studio Gallery does all her work with 50:50 DecoArt PM & Floetrol (plus a dash of Gac 800). Looks like it worked for you as well. Thanks for sharing your time and talents with us.
thank you! Yes, this mixture is definitely more workable, at least for me! Need to also test adding the GAC 800, but I must say that so far I didn't notice any crazing at all
Your videos are so helpful. Thanks so much. ❤️
Thank you for another great lesson 😊
This one was very helpful! The second dutch pour is my favorite.
thank you, Deborah!
When you drop a kiss pour and it still comes out better than any I've attempted 🙈😄😂 All are equally nice 👍👍 I'm gonna have to try that Dutch pour again 🥰 I played with paint last night and at the end I did thin my paints like you suggested and tried a swipe 🤩 Unfortunately I didn't have time to play with that some more but I loved it 😄 Thanks for sharing, always learning from you 😊👍👍
thank you! "canvas dropping technique" 😆 I'm glad that it still worked out!
Dutch pour is a great technique, but definitely not as easy!
I love them all. ❤️👌
Beautiful love it love the colors and thank you
thank you!
Thank you for this tutorial. Your explanations n mixing ratios r most helpful. Your enthusiasm is contagious. Your mistake r great. Nice save. 😎PourOn
Beautiful
They’re all beautiful 😊
Thank you so much!😊
Even after you dropped it still looks amazing.
Très jolies , j’adore les couleurs et formes....
Thank you Olga🎄🎄🎄🎖️🎖️🎖️🎖️🇦🇺
What a great video... I learned a lot and love all the finished pieces!
thank you, Beverly!
Great job looks great so inspiring
Thank you! Cheers!
Hi thanks for this I really wanted to see how this medium works
Wow, Wow, Wow😲. Both you and your art are SO beautiful!! I'm chuffed to bits that I discovered your videos, website and IG. As a result, I've actually unsubscribed from a few others (who are all good), but I know now that YOU are The Best!
I really felt for you when you dropped the canvas but please be kind to yourself? It turned out to be gorgeous!! As did they all. I can't possibly choose a favourite, I am in awe of every piece, truly.....
I am also incredibly grateful that you revisited DecoArt pouring medium as it is the only one I have. If I had the budget I'd like to get others but I don't so this has been beyond useful for me! All I need now is some Floetrol (still not sure what it is, lol). My acrylic paints are not top quality however, with your amazing hard work and sharing, I am looking forward to experimenting. The fantastic thing about this is that every one will be unique and will be a piece of art; whatever the end result.
Gosh, it's a pleasure to watch your videos (I have been binge watching but for obvious reasons, haven't left comments for all😂. Can you imagine? Yikes🤯).
On that note, I shall leave you in peace, promise🙊.
Take care & THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!! C👌❕🐾🐾
Thank you very much
Hi Olga, You are completely right ! That was my very first pouring medium it wS successful and you steed I did the same on mixing and was completely stunned at my results !!! I am so Happy to see you did this experiment??? By way I love all four pours !!! Thanks for experimenting and sharing, Lisa
Thank you, Lisa! At first I hated this medium, but I find it works much better for me combined with floetrol
love your Hollands gietsel..;)
awesome video as always, would love it if you did a video on using heavy bodied paints in acrylic pours, particularly the mixing part. I am in love with certain colors I can only get in heavy bodied but mixing those is quite a challenge and I always get lumps lol.
MUY BUENO, MUY BUENO, REALMENTE PRECIOSO
Thank you so much! Glad you like it 😊
I thought I had perfected the canvas dropping technique and there you go encroaching on my territory! :) I really hate when that happens. I loved both Dutch pours. All four of your paintings are wonderful but the Dutch pours I love the most. I really can't choose a favorite; they're both beautiful.
Look at the first one as a happy accident. All the paintings are beautiful. As well, thank you for sharing your work in these videos. You certainly are an artist with an awesome personality.
Добрый день Ольга! Очень красиво и поучительно!
Спасибо!
Hey , where did you go...lol
The first one , I sinced alitttle frustration. When you dropped it , it's ok though. I still seen alitttle purple on it. Every single one of them look amazing!! 🙂
Changing to a medium body paint really made a difference. With how you mixed everything.
Always amazing!!..... Smile 😁
Thank you! Yes I was frustrated when dropped, but I guess what doesn't kill the canvas makes it stronger 😆
@@OlgaSoby
I get alitttle frustrated to if I drop something that's wet. I understand how you feel. Then I think , I can't go back & change the last minute.
And remember the famous Bob Ross saying , it actually helps.
I know I've said it before , but thank God for Bob Ross. Because some of my happy accidents. Turned out to be awesome!! 😁
@@OlgaSoby
Don't let it get to you.
It's ok , if we drop something sometimes. Or zig when we should of zagged. Because thing's turn out awesome! 😁
My favorite was the kiss pour. They are all beautiful. I tried the decoart PM but the smell was so bad I had to put my full face respirator on. I am scared to use it again. Maybe I will try it again outside. 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
I like the first dutch pour but all were good
Happy you like it!😉
Hi Olga really enjoy your channel. Regarding the issue of stirring everything in the cup; you will get much more complete mixing if you clip off the mixing end of the mixing sticks.
Thanks for the tip John!😘
You are awesome.
Can you please show some abstract paintings as well?
Try mixing the deco art pouring medium with the deco art liquid paint on a one to one ratio. I understand that works well.
To me the colors in the first Dutch pour are more vibrant. I like that one better
I have been pouring for about 1 1/2 years, I have had great results with 2 parts Floetrol, 1 part Elmers Glue all and one part paint. added benefit is that it turns 2 ounces into 8, with colors staying true.I watched a lot of Myriam's Nature and Anne Marie's video's in the beginning. I have tried with silicone and without, with good results, I use Artist loft, decor arts, and anything I find on sale. The few fails I have had, have been due to poor color choices.
Thank you
Do you add water to your mixture as well?
I think that the one you dropped looks really cool. An idea might be to use an old oven rack to place over the rods for a smaller canvas(?) At any rate, I learned alot here :)
I'm happy to hear that!
I tried the deco art pouring medium a while ago and didn't like it on its own. It's a good idea to mix it with Flowtrol. I love the paint kiss best!!
thank you! I didn't like it on its own either way too fluid for me, but certainly works better with floetrol.
Olga, do you think the decoart PM could be used as a varnish for dried finished paintings? I like the sheen it gives.
Thank you very much for all your experiments. You are helping a lot of people save money, time and materials on their projects. I was wondering if you have worked with resin pours it may be a interesting medium to play with. Thanks again you are awesome and keep up the great work. Much love from Canada :)
thank you so much, Kevin! I'm happy to hear that my videos are helping😊 by the way, I'm also from Canada
They all look great but the ring pour wins.
Loving your earrings, Olga! They look really pretty on you :) I think medium body paint seems to be a better mix for decoart PM! I felt for you when the canvas fell, being a klutz myself I poured on glass once, finished it, happy, took it up to look at it and tilted it too much, it smashed straight onto the floor, paint down. >_< My painting shattered into pieces, along with my heart lol
I loved these! I actually liked best the one you said was too thick, and felt bumpy? I can only take your word for it on how it feels, but I love how it looks! I would totally hang that on my wall if you sold it.
Thank you!
The little texture for this piece is a bit unusual for the dutch pour, but it worked out really awesome when I applied the varnish. And it's already sold, but thank you so much!
You are very talented and I love watching you work. I’m wondering why you wouldn’t just use floetrol, what does the pouring medium add
Thank you! I normally always work with floetrol only, but I decided to improve my mixture, therefore started experimenting with different pouring mediums to find something that works the best for me.
Medium helps to keep colors glossy and bright, plus for this experiment, it had really helped to keep the shape of all the pours exactly as I left them, otherwise, there is always a chance that they can shift a little overnight while drying.
How do you clean your silicone off after complete? I got an acrylic pouring starter kit the other day 🤓🤓🤓🤓❤️💜💜💜💜💚
I see a lot of artists just wipe it off with baby wipes & some use a soft cloth with s little alcohol on it. I have tried both and the work equally fine and neither caused the paint to rub off or smear. 😜😜😜😜
Julie Rositer awesome , I have both thanks ✌🏼✌🏼💜
@@JessicaRVA very welcome. 😉😉
Could you explain how much product do you use of each, paint, medium, etc?? Thank you very muh.
And I like all the canvas!
Do you think adding the pouring medium to the Floetrol and thinning it out would also help with the clumps that you sometimes get in the Floetrol?
Great video on mediums. I just bought Arteza mica powder. I used MinWax Polycrylic as medium. Did not like results too much blending. I would love your advice. Should I try Floetrol? Or a mix of Floetrol and Glue? I also have GAC 800, Gesso, liquatex pouring medium. What is your experience?
♥️
How do you clean the oily spot from the silicone at the end?
What did you mean when you said you can still see oil spots with the silicon? I didn't know you had to clean that off?
Can you pls tell me if you have a Video of the Pour, hanging on the wall behind you on the left, just above your paint brushes? I really love it and would love to know, and or see, how you created it. Thank you.
Thank you, I don't have a video for that, but that was a multiple paint kiss pour, and I have lot's of videos with the paint kiss technique
Hello, can u use liquitex poring medium with varnish as a pouring medium and if so do you need to varnish it after drying.
Hi. Im new at your channel and a very beginner :) I would like to ask, would it be wrong to mix 1 part paint and 1 part water instead of Floetrol? What's the help of using Floetrol? Thanks a lot for your advice.
I'd like to try this but I'd like to know exactly what colors you used.
TIA
Have you ever used housepaint ? For a base. And if so do you add floetrol also or water.
I have never used it, so not sure what would be the ratio
My favorite is the kiss pour, too bad it slipped off the rods, I do miss the the purple. When you show the glossiness of the dried paintings, rotate them a couple of times then hold them still, please. It’s hard for me to watch the constant movement and really see the painting. Other than that I very much enjoy your videos, I’ve learned much from your comparison experiments. Thanks, keep up the good work.
Where do I find the large plastic "trough" you are using to catch the excess paint? I need one badly.
One of those days eh? ;o)~
😆 yes
Ola consigo fazer a técnica marbeling com ele ? Não acho um expansor para as tintas acrílicas
Wondering if DecoArt Pouring Medium would work better with Deco Art Paints...I like the first Dutch pour!!!\
I want to use some of these techniques on bar stools then apply epoxy resin, is this a good idea?
I've never done, so not sure.
A drop! OH NO! Because I have severe hand tremours, my pouring container has 6 bars to prevent this. I'm still struggling with this new art form, but learning to accept & figure out the reasons for my failures. When I watch you I think, 'Is there anything you CAN'T do awesomely??'
You're too kind Helen, thank you! 💖
