Ive been doing a partial fast for prayer and a miracle, but found out a few days ago things aren't going to plan with my miracle and i felt so discouraged. I thought id do a Daniel fast by giving up chocolate and cola (my favourite comfort foods) for 30 days, but I dont know if thats enough. I don't think my health is good enough for a 21 day fast, but I think ill do a 1 day a week fast (one small meal at night). Seeing this video I felt like it was God showing me what a fast should be and for what, and now I feel so much more encouraged. It wss like him saying "Dont give up, keep going!"
I feel so much closer to God in understanding the things Jesus went through and every time I fast, I learn something new. For me, I will begin a fast for breakthrough in mind (about my son, my husband or myself) and God is faithful. It's a way for me to get closer to God but through fasting, we can't force God to do anything outside of His will, but it allows us to understand Jesus better and know God. I personally really like the idea of picking up this book, I'm going to add it to my wishlist for this year. Thank you!
You said you eat once a day , what food do you eat? I have diabetes & 21 days fast is probably not a good idea . I basically just eat vegetables & eggs .
