I fasted 30 days, a week & half in God supernaturally heeled me of my social anxiety & my dependancy on antidepressants. Right after studying the word & a long prayer. I got out my car, went back in from my lunch break at work & I knew something felt different. From that point I started talking to everybody comfortably & then when I was outside I greeted strangers & neighbors I never talked to willingly, I felt confident without anxiety triggering my body. I never felt this level of freedom from my anxiety even on medication which I was on & off of my whole life since a teenager. I threw away the medication & months later it hasn't changed. Imagine I thought I was gon be dependant on medication my whole life, I been on fire for God ever since!! He's the greatest !!!
38:27 “fasting puts the nature of the flesh under the authority of spirit.” 41:58 “the flesh is only suppose to do one thing - to be a vehicle. & it’s suppose to be a vehicle of the spirit of God. 52:02 Jesus said “you are so full of many things, return to your first love.”

I hadn't done a 3-day dry fast for 4 years...fell pregnant 4 years ago and when my baby was born, I breastfed him for 3 years and I stopped breastfeeding when I tried to do a 3-day dry fast, I didn't make it past 24 hours. End of March 2024 after Easter Sunday, I commited to a 3-day dry fast starting 1st April 2024. In my midnight prayers I was on chapter 22 in the book of Isaiah and verse 22 jumped out for me and for me it was confirmation of what God already had planned for me and I knew then in my spirit that my 3-day fast was not going to be in vain. I'm on day 2 today on the 2nd of April 2024 and it's not easy but I'm pushing through...a 3-day fast's potent and it requires us to use the strength of God to push through. God's always faithful. I'm on my day 3 of Esther fast, no water no food. God had been asking me since June started. I've cried rivers for the past 2days because the fast is so difficult, it has stretched my body. It's difficult especially in the evening when it's time to sleep. I cried to God to help me finish each night and he has helped me. I'm still asking for grace for today.

I’m not Christian, but this was a beautiful message for spiritual fasting. So much is being said about fasting for weight loss, that it’s become an exercise in vanity. We need to return to the original and highest intention for fasting, and you’ve made a good case for that.
I am listening to this sermon in August 2022 and am so blessed by it. I am in a place of confusion, stagnation, wondering why am here or whether the promises of God still hold.....but am encouraged to humble myself before God in fasting to get the hidden secrets of God for my glorification. I never learned much about fasting growing up in church. It's not even taught in my current church. I've been learning on my own because I want to be obedient and learn how to truly depend on God and grow in my faith. This is the message I need to hear. I will have to listen again. ❤

I’m on day 15 of my 40 days fasting and this is the confirmation and sermon I needed. Even thou I’ve fasted took a break from all social media platforms I didn’t feel how I thought I’m supposed to feel I didn’t feel connected to the Holy Spirit I was tempted to give up. But I’m grateful for this sermon because I’m now moving in understanding “Mission Possible” I also now under that I don’t have to be strong this fasting is where I bring all my weaknesses to God for him to give me strength I have been trying to be strong and also doing the fasting as a sign that I can be strong and disciplined for the Lord but I thank God for letting me know that this is where you fall apart, tell God your story, tell Him about your mountain and the things you’ve struggled with for years and I already feel His hand moving towards me because now I understand that I don’t have to be anything more than what I already am for God. I come to him humbled by being human and weak and fasting so He may give me strength and remind Him that I am completely dependent on Him. "This is a true woman of God!" I found myself saying this when she said, " I am not just here to declare to you that the mission is possible but I'm here to teach you..." I've been quarreling with God about fasting since the month of February , and today when I heard the voice of God telling me to fast, I fought and started to deceive myself into believing that this is not the voice of God; stupid right! This is the second confirmation that God is really calling me into a fast today; and the first was in the sermon, "is it a faith problem." I've been quarreling because even if I fast for a couple of hours I lose a lot, in an abnormal way; but i'mma have to yield. May God teach me how to fast the right way for my health. 🙌

Im 1 of those who fast every year, it can be twice in a year sometimes and some of the fasting i made i haven't recieve my breakthrough yet. I remember there would times i fast hoping for something but it will happen that i dont see the results & i would be like no more fasting for me, but i would find myself in another fasting again.. Mmmm!! I had a depression. The first day from hospital I told God. You know I will not be consistent in taking the medication and I don't want to be controlled by it, I threw them, I could not sleep day and night for 2 weeks. I was so exhausted, my Landlord prayed for me on that day I slept 3 hours until I decided on Sunday to go on fasting and prayer I said to God YOU CREATED HEAVEN AND, YOU MADE PEOPLE TO SLUMBER FOR A SLEEP THEREFORE BRING BACK MY SLEEP, on the second day in the morning during prayer. I felt the hand of God on my forehead, it was like I was shocked by electricity from that day I am sleeping I never used medication from the 1st day I was discharged. Indeed God has healed me through fasting. Fasting open doors for me. We were on fasting and prayer at church my prayer item was to find job. God confirm that through a dream that whatever I was praying for has been answered.

But what I learned is that God is actually looking for us to want a connection more than the sacrifice of food or social media. Thanks you. I was led to do a 10 day fast 2 months ago which is the first time i had done a 10day continuous fast. It wasnt a struggle like i feared it would be because i had never done 10 days, ever . I recently decided to embark on a 21 days fast and i can say that it wasnt because i had any special leading to do it but because i want to make fasting a part of my form of reverence to God. Recently started a diet cutting out processed food and bad sugars (except natural sugar) for about 12 days. Didn't eat dinner last night, didn't eat since 10 something am yesterday, and I'm like "Why not go longer?". I've just passed 24 hrs!

I had a horrible dream of my mother passing away before her birthday and woke up crying to her and in the dream god told me he sacrificed her for my dad. I felt helpless when I woken up and I took a shower and god told me fast for 3 days 3 times and he said he would save my mother because her birthday was in 3 days. Glory to god, Amen ❤️

But, I would like to give my opinion on something. I may not say it verbatim. But, when you said "people that say they will only fast in the morning, not eating breakfast, that doesn't make sense to you." You said "it should be a sacrifice." I know that God knows everyone's heart. That person may be a new beliver in Christ, and a first time faster. That person may have been living in so much sin, and they finally humbled themselves, took a chance, and cried out to the Lord, for Him to help them. So, they decided to finally try a fast. They may have only fasted for morning breakfast. But, at least they were willing to stand on the faith that they had, which may have been as small as a mustard seed, believing that prayer, and fasting together, will help in the area that they were weak in. They believed, that their effort to fast in the morning, with their FAITH, and prayer would move mountains, like the word of God says. Please know that I'm not trying to undermine you. I respect you highly, Woman of God! But, I do remember when I 1st started fasting, and my fast was only 30 minutes. But God moved mightily in my situation. Just with that tiny and short fast. The Lord knew my heart and He knew how much of a sacrifice, that 30 minutes was to me. Now I can fast 40 days with only water, and God giving me His Perseverance, in the name of Jesus the Christ of Nazareth the Messiah! But, I'm so glad that God is not like man, and He knows our hearts. May the Lord continue to bless you in every area of your life. Wow! "Is your appetite your god?" That was revealing for me. God has shown me my sugar addiction and its potential to diminish my ability to fulfill my full purpose in God. This fast is a breaking by God of me so that He can establish His purpose and His will in my life. The enemy counts on us to miss his holds on our lives but the Holy Spirit reveals all things. I will live and not die! The disease that took my grandmother and is trying to take my dad, my siblings, and me is broken. This generational curse stops with me today!

I'm on my day 3 of Esther fast, no water no food. God had been asking me since June started. I've cried rivers for the past 2days because the fast is so difficult, it has stretched my body. It's difficult especially in the evening when it's time to sleep. I cried to God to help me finish each night and he has helped me. I'm still asking for grace for today.

I’m not Christian, but this was a beautiful message for spiritual fasting. So much is being said about fasting for weight loss, that it’s become an exercise in vanity. We need to return to the original and highest intention for fasting, and you’ve made a good case for that.
I am listening to this sermon in August 2022 and am so blessed by it. I am in a place of confusion, stagnation, wondering why am here or whether the promises of God still hold.....but am encouraged to humble myself before God in fasting to get the hidden secrets of God for my glorification. It was when the disciples where in prayer and fasting that the Holy Spirit gave the instruction to set aside Saul and Barnabus. Therefore God will give me direction for my assignment and purpose for I believe like Esther I am not ordinary. I may not have had a divine encounter but I am marked and chosen by God for such a time as this for the good works set before me. I am encouraged to fast at a personal level

I'm here 2023 Dec 15th day one I'm greatful.
I never learned much about fasting growing up in church. It's not even taught in my current church. I've been learning on my own because I want to be obedient and learn how to truly depend on God and grow in my faith. This is the message I need to hear. I will have to listen again. ❤

I’m on day 15 of my 40 days fasting and this is the confirmation and sermon I needed. Even thou I’ve fasted took a break from all social media platforms I didn’t feel how I thought I’m supposed to feel I didn’t feel connected to the Holy Spirit I was tempted to give up. But I’m grateful for this sermon because I’m now moving in understanding “Mission Possible” I also now under that I don’t have to be strong this fasting is where I bring all my weaknesses to God for him to give me strength I have been trying to be strong and also doing the fasting as a sign that I can be strong and disciplined for the Lord but I thank God for letting me know that this is where you fall apart, tell God your story, tell Him about your mountain and the things you’ve struggled with for years and I already feel His hand moving towards me because now I understand that I don’t have to be anything more than what I already am for God. I come to him humbled by being human and weak and fasting so He may give me strength and remind Him that I am completely dependent on Him. God is gracious to those who come to Him in truth and in Spirit.

I’m also on a 40 day fast and I just want to encourage you that this type of fast when done however god calls you to do it, is transformational but it’s also a process. I’ve never taken fasting serious but this word is the cue I need to actually get into fasting. I already feel the presence of God and I hear his words but most times I need a confirmation that it’s the right voice and it’s just not me tripping. I've been quarreling with God about fasting since the month of February , and today when I heard the voice of God telling me to fast, I fought and started to deceive myself into believing that this is not the voice of God; stupid right! This is the second confirmation that God is really calling me into a fast today; and the first was in the sermon, "is it a faith problem." I've been quarreling because even if I fast for a couple of hours I lose a lot, in an abnormal way; but i'mma have to yield. May God teach me how to fast the right way for my health. 🙌

when i watch this sermon today its my last day of 6 days fasting.. I Iike the way you explain fasting.. Im 1 of those who fast every year, it can be twice in a year sometimes and some of the fasting i made i haven't recieve my breakthrough yet. I remember there would times i fast hoping for something but it will happen that i dont see the results & i would be like no more fasting for me, but i would find myself in another fasting again.. I used to ask myself this question, why other Christians don't fast or don't believe in fasting and yet when i see their life is progressing and i look at mine im always fasting but some other fasting i dnt see results but i got a clear understanding today about fasting.. Mmmm!! I had a depression. The first day from hospital I told God. You know I will not be consistent in taking the medication and I don't want to be controlled by it, I threw them, I could not sleep day and night for 2 weeks. I was so exhausted, my Landlord prayed for me on that day I slept 3 hours until I decided on Sunday to go on fasting and prayer I said to God YOU CREATED HEAVEN AND, YOU MADE PEOPLE TO SLUMBER FOR A SLEEP THEREFORE BRING BACK MY SLEEP, on the second day in the morning during prayer. I felt the hand of God on my forehead, it was like I was shocked by electricity from that day I am sleeping I never used medication from the 1st day I was discharged. Indeed God has healed me through fasting. Fasting open doors for me. We were on fasting and prayer at church my prayer item was to find job. God confirm that through a dream that whatever I was praying for has been answered.

This is the best explanation I have ever heard about fasting I've been in the church for over 25 years and I've never been convicted as I am at this moment. I used to be the same way, I started fasting from food and I will break. But what I learned is that God is actually looking for us to want a connection more than the sacrifice of food or social media. I encourage that you focus on reading & praying during that time and not if you are breaking the fast or not. Thanks you. I was led to do a 10 day fast 2 months ago which is the first time i had done a 10day continuous fast. It wasnt a struggle like i feared it would be because i had never done 10 days, ever . I recently decided to embark on a 21 days fast and i can say that it wasnt because i had any special leading to do it but because i want to make fasting a part of my form of reverence to God. Recently started a diet cutting out processed food and bad sugars (except natural sugar) for about 12 days. Didn't eat dinner last night, didn't eat since 10 something am yesterday, and I'm like "Why not go longer?". I've just passed 24 hrs!
This teaching has changed my spiritual life. I grieve that I did not practice this earlier as a younger person. Third day fasting and praying and the blinders are falling off already. I can only imagine my future. Thank you, Sister Stephanie. Your work for the Father is mighty.

I had a horrible dream of my mother passing away before her birthday and woke up crying to her and in the dream god told me he sacrificed her for my dad. I felt helpless when I woken up and I took a shower and god told me fast for 3 days 3 times and he said he would save my mother because her birthday was in 3 days. Glory to god, Amen ❤️

But, I would like to give my opinion on something. I may not say it verbatim. But, when you said "people that say they will only fast in the morning, not eating breakfast, that doesn't make sense to you."
You said "it should be a sacrifice."
I know that God knows everyone's heart. That person may be a new beliver in Christ, and a first time faster. That person may have been living in so much sin, and they finally humbled themselves, took a chance, and cried out to the Lord, for Him to help them. So, they decided to finally try a fast. They may have only fasted for morning breakfast. But, at least they were willing to stand on the faith that they had, which may have been as small as a mustard seed, believing that prayer, and fasting together, will help in the area that they were weak in. They believed, that their effort to fast in the morning, with their FAITH, and prayer would move mountains, like the word of God says. Please know that I'm not trying to undermine you. I respect you highly, Woman of God! But, I do remember when I 1st started fasting, and my fast was only 30 minutes. But God moved mightily in my situation. Just with that tiny and short fast. The Lord knew my heart and He knew how much of a sacrifice, that 30 minutes was to me. Now I can fast 40 days with only water, and God giving me His Perseverance, in the name of Jesus the Christ of Nazareth the Messiah!
But, I'm so glad that God is not like man, and He knows our hearts.

Wow! "Is your appetite your god?" That was revealing for me. God has shown me my sugar addiction and its potential to diminish my ability to fulfill my full purpose in God. This fast is a breaking by God of me so that He can establish His purpose and His will in my life. The enemy counts on us to miss his holds on our lives but the Holy Spirit reveals all things. I will live and not die! The disease that took my grandmother and is trying to take my dad, my siblings, and me is broken. This generational curse stops with me today!
