    This is so inspirational. Good farm infrastructure and business management. Shows that Africa can feed themselves AND feed the world. Its important exposure Mark. Please do more of these type of interviews Mark. So uplifting especially Tina the intelligent business farmer with her partner. The future for women as equals in business partnerships is hopeful. 💪🏾👌🏽. The ultimate equaliser. 👌🏽

    My grandparents in NC farmed this way -- pigs, chickens, fruits, vegetables, peanuts, fruit trees, tobacco. They never grew just 1 crop or focused solely on 1 animal.

    Hi Mark, I would like to know how the DIP works in detail. Thank you

    • @gyeboor1270
      @gyeboor1270 Год назад

      Maybe I can help? a dip is a swimming pool for animals, very small pool because you have to fill it with water then put in the acaricide (the chemical that kills parasites, ticks, mites, lice..) the insects often transmit deadly diseases, much like mosquitoes transmit malaria in human..the warm fertile healthy bountiful tropical Africa abounds in all manner of life!
      In short, a dip drenches the animals, cattle, sheep, dogs...in the solution of pest killing "dip"
      fyi, all animals to the best of my knowledge to exception of humans, are natural swimmers, they enjoy it and the first jump is a dive!
      If you look at the design of the dip, you see the deep end at the point where the animals must take the jump, it is deep! All the animals get submerged and either swim up or get to the steps at the other end, it is narrow, not wide enough to allow two average animals to jump/dive in together.
      In summary it is a very cheap effective method for de lousing farm animals.
      It can work very well for dirty infested human beings. I have never witnesses a drowning in a dip.

    @ValueFarmUG hrand project, great partnership w, local community 🎯💯 but why risk building a water well #borehole near a toxic bath for livestock 😰🚑 a spoonful , let alome, a spill of the chemicals can kill a grown man ⚠☠ please use any available lot on your 100+ acre farm that is farthest from the livestock bath for drilling and extracting ground water 🌴🏖
