GY!BE is one of these artists (Yndi halda, A silver mt. zion, William Basinski, Earth to name a few), that record unbelieveably long, may I say, opuses, yet you never ever want to press "next" button on your whatever-player. I have never been to a GY!BE concert, but I heard that their live appearances are close to a religious experience and, even though their concerts last over two hours, you yearn to see them again and again...It must be outstanding!
Gosh when I was listening to Asunder for the first time today, I always felt it like a deja vu state. Could predict everything so perfectly, only to then realise I've already relived this album live and around 10 times on YT back in 2014
It starts out really malaise-like, then gets into these great Middle Eastern vibes. A long drone section, and then the epic build-up to a fucking awesome ending.
couldnt see them because i had no way of getting back. i cannot explain how gutted i am, i am yet to see my favourite band live and that opportunity seemed perfect. oh well, one day i'll be able to have the gybe experience
I saw the second time live, yesterday. And trust me, it was like a dream come true, again and again, after each second. I highly recommend seeing them live. Superb experience!
Keep in mind, they played Mladic and We Drift Like Worried Fire for years before recording them. They usually try out songs live before recording and releasing them (quite a bit of Yanqui was done that way as was Lift Your Skinny Fists.) This song is way too good to not record...
Listened them yesterday, at the Primavera Sound in Barça. During all the performance I was totally galvanized. Almost a liturgy. Almost an religious event. Catharsis and empathy. Freakin' amazing.
They played this yesterday.. unbelievable band. I love them! I want to see them live over and over again and never get bored. The part starting at around 28:40 gave me chills. so much emotion...
Saw them in Atlanta the other night. First time ever listening to them so I was kind of skeptical.. but I was blown away myself. It was just incredible.
i like this version of this one better for the way they did a lot of parts on this. the repetition that starts at 5:35-5:45 there's a version of this they played at other shows where rather than the middle eastern vibe during the end of the riff, where they go backward on the neck a couple frets, it heads off with a major melody, where they go several frets UP on the neck. it sounds so uplifting and beautiful. this is extraordinary don't get me wrong, but i just love those major chord/major run moments.
I saw them open for Nine Inch Nails in Boston, Oktober 2013. It was a bit strange to switch from an half-awake daze (the lights were off and they had been playing this for roughly an hour) to NIN, but completely and totally amazing. They were great live, but I almost fell asleep in an arena so I will most likely just listen at home haha.
I wish they did it like that instead of just making this all of asunder. Especially if it was like a second track like this. There was alot of potential with something like that
Yep. They are on steak of big live tours until like late October. Finishing massive Europe tour right now, with USA one starting soon, and later going around States some more with Nine Inch Nails.
The sound is fine if I compare it to the version I got from the same file on archive.org in FLAC at 2406 kbps listening on foobar2000 with a fiio E7 headphone amplifier and Ultrasone Pro900 headphones, I can say the sound of your video is quite enjoyable nevertheless. Thanks for posting and keep on keeping on.
the best show I ever saw was JESUS LIZARD back in the day. fucking hypnotic. totally different from GY!BE but feels almost exactly the same. love them both:O
Where you enjoying the upload from the technical side? I mean, isn't the sound too rich, due to faulty youtube procession and thus hard to listen to? I used a 192 kbps mp3 source file, but sound still is a little bit mashed:/
This is a year delayed, but it has been confirmed that this song IS going to be their new album, so there will be a studio recording of this come March 29th!
I'm Egyptian, I've been listening to this band since 2001 and I must say they got me through things I've never been through!
Thank you GSYBE.
I'm Egyptian too and they definitely changed my life!

hearing this song live was one of the most beautiful moments in my life.
yup!!.. And.. it was also my first time hearing this as well as Mladic live.. so, you can imagine how that felt :) :)
like.. i mean, hearing those songs ever in my life..
Gosh when I was listening to Asunder for the first time today, I always felt it like a deja vu state. Could predict everything so perfectly, only to then realise I've already relived this album live and around 10 times on YT back in 2014
I was there too! This song was especially incredible but closing on BBF3 crippled me emotionally. So good.

Saw them in Brixton, London, on 21/11/13 and I was completely astounded. I don't think there is any possible way of describing how amazing they were.
couldnt see them because i had no way of getting back. i cannot explain how gutted i am, i am yet to see my favourite band live and that opportunity seemed perfect. oh well, one day i'll be able to have the gybe experience
you are correct sir, words die in the mouth before they can even draw the outline of an image that would properly describe this band...
Niesamowite! You Black Emperor
Saw them in Athens on 2010, the beginning of crisis in Greece. Feel blessed to have this experience... helps me to curry on!!
oh my god holy shit.
I saw the second time live, yesterday. And trust me, it was like a dream come true, again and again, after each second. I highly recommend seeing them live. Superb experience!
This may be the blueprint for a new album if they make another one.
So uhhh... turns out you were right. Except this was the entire album. (and I’m about 3 years late but oh well)
Asunder, Sweet and Other Distress

Guess what.
@@quadkanix what?
I wanna see GY!BE but they will never come here. Life is sad.
Listened them yesterday, at the Primavera Sound in Barça. During all the performance I was totally galvanized. Almost a liturgy. Almost an religious event. Catharsis and empathy.
Freakin' amazing.
You can bet, bro. One of my Top Three Concerts Ever, and one of the other two was again GY!BE.
Saw them last night in Charlottesville. They were incredible. This "song" just blew my mind.
wish i was around to see these concerts xd

I saw Godspeed last month and I believe Earth opened for them.
Same here. The * entire * audience was in a trance. Never known anything like it. Superb.
Godspeed jak zawsze czyni rozpierdol.
znasz
I saw them last year in Poland, freaking awesome, one of my favorites bands and show!
one of the biggest experimental rock bands ever...
This track has such an Earth vibe to it. Don't get me wrong that's a compliment!
I wanted to post the same here and now it's ruined :-(
No, you're absolutely right.
Mathias Waldmann
Not ruined at all friend! :D
We weren't really prepared for this when they played this live for us.
saw them 2 weeks ago in montreal and got stoked as fuck when they started playing it.
Indeed. and I love the way they just walk out, leaving 'where are you going?' chant from Providence
I saw this play both nights at the Forum, London. I was speechless.
Saw them in Atlanta the other night. First time ever listening to them so I was kind of skeptical.. but I was blown away myself. It was just incredible.

Oh I know, I like Earth's early Drone doom work, but I also enjoy their more post rockish stuff too.
thanks for the upload! god bless you son.

Thanks for uploading this
They played this yesterday at the Trianon in Paris, had never heard it before.
This blew my head off at the forum the other night, i'm still in pieces trying to figure out what I witnessed at that show
45 minutes, insane!
How awesome would it be if their next album was another double disc; side one this song, side two 2 new 20 minute epics
I am guessing that it will never happen, for it won't fit on one side of a LP record. Unless ofcourse they split it up in parts.
Merbaum Shador Motherfucker = Redeemer is on two sides of an LP
Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow Point taken.
I wish they did it like that instead of just making this all of asunder. Especially if it was like a second track like this. There was alot of potential with something like that
God bless your heart.
audio candy from the gods

Good morning music.
Holy fuck, they're actually putting Behemoth on an album. I hope it's the full 45 minutes.
Its only 40:23, its still going to kick ass.
The version from their site is 7:50 long and it still kicks ass.
The band plans to enter the studio at the end of the year or early next year to record it

I hope this becomes an album soon :3
... filled to the bounds of top-class musicianship, exploding with emotions) Thank you for comment!
Thank you for your input.

They played this last night in Vancouver.
Wow.
I saw Them at OFF Festiwal in 2013
This song reminds of the band 'Earth' a bit.
24:43 exactly how i felt...
22:35 deep space

26:00 went on to become piss crowns are trebled it seems
Try "Riding alone for thousand of miles" then. I see strong resemblance to GYBE. Thank you for comment)
Not yet.
btw i was at this show. fuckin incredible.
where did you hear that? I'm so stoked if they really are.
asunder
Is this the best quality recording of Behemoth? I'm seeing them in October and am hoping to get to know the song better.

Anyone know if there is a studio recording of this?
This is a year delayed, but it has been confirmed that this song IS going to be their new album, so there will be a studio recording of this come March 29th!
I doubt it. I think it's a track exclusively written for live shows.
