Angel beats for me since it isn’t the normal “death”. In most anime you get a dramatic or heart wrenching death, but in Angel beats you don’t get time to feel anything. They’re just there and then gone with no time for you to process it until you get hit like a truck by it. That coupled with the fact that they’re finally able to move past an extremely traumatic life makes it one of the most sad anime I’ve seen.

Out of these I think the one that affected me most was anohana. As when one of my friends died the whole group dynamic was horrifically changed. One started using in depression as she was dating him and died of an overdose, one stopped going to school, I tried to keep everyone together but we drifted apart as being in the group was a constant reminder that our friend was no longer here. One changed drastically and started keeping to himself and quit the basketball team as he was with him in the basketball team, one started drinking and still drinks to this day, and lastly I grew distant and hesitated to accept friendship and new relationships I also didn't like putting the burden I had in my mind onto others so I relied on myself whenever I was down

I have not even seen HxH, but every time I see the clip of Meruem I end up crying.. hearing only the voices, the tranquility of both as they speak and he slowly falls asleep .. I can say that only with that the anime is beautiful, giving such an end to an "enemy" is something I must applaud standing up to.

I've watched only a few tear jerking animes and swore to never stumble to this genre because of how long it takes me to recover emotionally. Its not just days but weeks, sure there are times when stuff takes up your mind and you would eventually get over in a day but that isnt the case with me. Its like depression, creeping up whenever it damn pleases, and when the scenes randomly plays in my head then comes the emotions, it only stops when im emotionally numb which takes up to weeks. Last cryable anime watched was anohana.

Dude theres more to life than just anime. Not everyone is as emotional as I am. Explore life, seek what gives you emotion (except anything that harms you or other people duh). I have since moved on from watching anime (i still watch but not as frequent as before) because i found something more precious to me than anime, and I sincerely hope you find yours.
